1 Peter

Today on Mornings With Mike, I am sharing 1 Peter 4:10-11 (NLT). In this verse it says we should change our model of the world about anything we might call "ours." We should see whatever we have as a gift from God. We should see whatever we have been given as an opportunity to serve others. We should not view anything as off-limits for use in serving other believers.
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 'God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.'
We have all of these amazing gifts and opportunities. And if we fail to use God's gifts to us to serve each other is to fail to be a good steward of Jesus. When we use what we have been given this si the first step in fulfilling our purpose.
I encourage and remind you as Peter did here, serve your fellow man with your talents and gifts. Help others grow so that you might serve God in doing so.
When we speak words of encouragement, we are delivering God's words. When we use time and energy to meet other people’s needs, we are drawing not from our strength, but directly from God's own strength. Our lives-our talents, dollars, homes, and helping-are all gifts that have been bestowed on us should be given as freely to raise up His name and share His glory.
