"What instrument do you play?" "I play trombone." "So you're in a band? What genre do you play?" "I play ska punk with Spanish music and Eastern European influences"
I listen to mostly metal and hardly ever venture into this genre, but they're the top band I would listen to alongside the mad caddies and operation ivy. They get me groovin that's fersure
My favorite band of all time. I've seen them every time they've come to SF for the past 4 years and will continue to do so as long as they continue touring
@@lxbombers Yeah, I got into them about a year ago and was like "wow I really want to see this band live!" and all the sudden they announced their one tour and I saw they were playing up at the Fillmore in MD so I was like "ay i need to go"
@@lxbombers Haha same! 4 years in a row, except on this last year my best friend, her little brother and I got into a terrible car crash on the way home from the concert. Now I'm kinda afraid to go 2 towns over. But damn I hope they come a lot closer to my hometown one day
A.N.T. Idk about that, they're good don't get me wrong, but there is the specials, and reel big fish, and so many others, but this song gets me fuckin pumped up, this version especially, cuz it's sped up just a bit than the recorded version.
These guys channeled music and rhythm through their vessels like few anybody claiming to be a musician will ever feel. They are authentically their music and virtually exist as nothing else while playing, but their sound. They constantly philosophize in a humorous, soft, but incredibly sincere way. One of my favorite bands NO doubt, not really like it's even my choice to make. They simply GOT me.
i love this band so much. And i love how tomas isn't even center stage. He just has the band in a straight line (besides the base and drums). its so great.
A band like this takes one heck of a guitarist, bassist, trumpeteer, tener saxaphonist, baritone saxaphonist, trombonist, and drummer.... They can all play xD
the mind blowing part of this video is that at this point these guys had been a band for all of three weeks. What the actual fuck, you can't teach talent like that. They have only gotten better with time and are still the best live band I've ever seen. Fight on Streetlight Manifesto.
Me and my friend were on the bus together, and we were going through eachother's ipods. As soon as I heard them, I refused to give her back her ipod for the entire bus ride, because I couldn't get enough of this delicious band. Thank you for sharing your musical minds :)
He really doesn't get enough credit for how far he helps take this band. Not that the other members are bad by any means, but his style and proficiency is delicious.
absolutely no tempo fluctuation through the whole song..the rhythm section is fucking amazing. and the horns and guitar just top it off!! amazing band.
fell in love with a long haired fellow at the starlight room, we danced all night and i never even got his name. streetlight rocked my world and so did he!!

me encanta que bailen mientras tocan y le pongan tanta alma a su música, se nota que realmente sienten lo que hacen. ojalá vinieran de nuevo a chile, los estamos esperando
Its fun drumming streetlight songs becuase they never get boring. The drummer never sticks to one beat for to long, and has a way of changing what hes doing and making it sound good, which is fun to play along with
I actually asked Tomas at Warped Tour where he got his hat. He told me he doesn't remember because he has been wearing the same thing for years, haha. So true and so awesome. Can't wait for 99 songs!
@@LeakyJAZZ there's a vtuber named amelia watson from hololive. she likes streetlight manifesto, like a lot. when she does karaoke she'll sometimes sing a song by them. it's great because she shows this kind of music to her fans who have no idea about it, like me for example.
Seriously, this is the best band I've ever heard. They're so versatile. Tomas is a genius and I'd give my right arm (if I didn't need it) to be able to drum like Thatcher. Bravo Streetlight, Bravo

the bassist is a hidden beast
are you some kind of fool?
So true, very much the driving force underneath all their songs. Gives them so much more depth than they would otherwise would have.
This Bassist is fucking genius.. I would love to include such genius in my Basslines. There is much to learn for me.

Seriously one of the most underrated bands of all time. It's not easy to make ska punk go this hard.

Llynok same
Yes
Even if you don't like them you gotta admit how fucking talented they are

"Take off the dresses and stop playing like little girls"
"OOOOOOHHHHH!!!!"
"My mom said this dress was pretty :("
I quote this quite frequently
they have such a charisma, this is a band not to miss live.
