It's true! If we love God we'll give Him the highest respect. Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth and obey His laws. Fear Him with respect for He is our Father and Creator.
Whom did he say to 'keep the Sabbath'? Christians or Jews? The Bible clearly said in Acts, that the Jews whom the whole Law (including Sabbath)was given were not able to keep it; why should then Jesus suddenly again force it onto christians to obey it?! The Sabbath has been given to Israel alone as the perpetual sign of covenant between them and God. For Christians Christ is our Sabbath, not a physical but a spiritual rest. The Sabbath for the Jews was a physical rest from all the work of the week. If you obey one commandment of the Law (the Sabbath) you must also obey all other 612 ones.

The Sabbath is the fourth commandment. I will do what God said to do and do what Jesus did and that’s keeping the commandments including the Sabbath. Why would it be for the Jews only? Read John 3:16 and 17. In my Bible God loves the world, not just the Jews. But if you don’t want to keep the Sabbath then don’t. You just don't understand the meaning of 'accomplish' or 'fulfill'. For instance imagine the entrance ticket for a concert is fixed at 500 usd and considering that nobody could effort it, there are only 2 possibilities: 1. To abolish the ticket, as if it has never existed, and then the entrance is free 2. To 'fulfill' it, meaning some other guy paid for all places at the concert. And here, despite it being already paid, what sense would it make for you to still at any cost wanting to pay the entrance? You see that that makes no sense!? But as you say, you are free to keep on keeping the Sabbath. But don't forget: Jesus was a Jew and as such he was 'under the law'(But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that are under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons). Where does the bible says to Christians to obey the Sabbath? Remembering all commandments in the bible are not for everyone; some are for Jews and others are for Christians. If you don't understand this differenciation, you'll be confused and not being able to correctly understand the bible. That's called 'rightly dividing' the Word of God.
@@barbarasanders7965 Yes, it's biblically rational. 1. Sabbath as a commandment, is one of the 613 commandments of the Law of Moses given to only the Jews. It was the "dispensation of the Law". The Jews had to obey those commandments to be saved. Remember how often it's written " if you obey...I shall ....? 2. We, the body of Christ, are not under the same law, but under the Grace, not saved by obeying any law/commandment. We are not under the Law (of Moses, including the Sabbath). 3. Our Gospel is different from the one to the Jews, and was given to us through Paul, and he never taught us to obey any Sabbath. Did you ever read and studied Paul's epistles? Particularly to the Galatians?

Your second is not clear: how can the Gentiles ask Paul to 'teach them a sermon they had heard'? That makes no sense. And finally go and read 1Corinthians 9.20-23 and you will understand Paul's method of evangelizing.
Jesus gave two commandments that sums up the law and they are.- Love the Lord, thy God with all your heart, and with all thy soul and all thy might and the second is this Love thy neighbor as thy self!

Very great attempt at explaining fear and fear of God. We should put our head on a block on the 4th century or a 1600 English bible. We live on a roman calendar. I cannot put my head on a block that the sabbath day must be ..... but i should work 6 days and rest on the 7th day giving thanks to God which should be every moment at least troublesome moments. Some comments are contradicting as Jesus replied "sell all you have and come follow Me"

I like to substitute revere, which implies a fearful respect as for a father, I think this is slightly better word than fear that translators could have used.
Fear means that I should willingly want to conform to the likeness of the image of God. Jesus is the express image of God. That being said, we should do everything Jesus did with fear that if we miss doing one thing Jesus did that we should die immediately. However, God the Father is full of grace and mercy, right? God extends forgiveness to each of us as much as 70 times 7, right? But I should desire to obey God rather than man.
Both the SDA and splinter churches (of which LCG is but one) teach much error in the false doctrines they hold to! Avoid these destructive cults! See my comment above.

Do you believe this true? From there I discovered many more fanciful interpretations of scriptural descriptions regarding doctrines of wide range. One such that is shared by LCG and the other splinters of the former WCG founded by Herbert W Armstrong, is the conflating of the first resurrection and the second coming of Christ! This doctrinal error results in a cascade of errors necessary to interpret scripture pertaining to many eschatological events! You might appreciate the significance of such errors if you are discerning the time, these late latter days. So upon learning such erroneous teachings within SDA I discussed the issue privately with 3 men, a senior and junior pastor and a deacon in a meeting I requested. We investigated scripture regarding the 2 witnesses and I showed them many supporting scriptures refuting their understanding of the subject. They agreed with what these scriptures illustrated but said that even despite that, their teachings would not alter. So that's when I departed from the SDA church. Please do not misunderstand me, SDA members are amongst the most Christian living persons you could ever hope to meet; good Samaritans all! I'm confident that many shall be saints of the first resurrection, however that does not detract from the false doctrines taught there! So then without a fellowship and still seeking Christ's little flock I chanced upon the splinter churches of God, of which LCG is one. I sought a meeting with their evangelist for Canada whom happened to be Edmonton's senior pastor. I began attending as I then believed their teachings to be faithful to the word. I learned much about the significance of God's holy days as perscribed in Lev 23 and how these specify the salvation plan of God for men through the work of Jesus our Messiah. I did however also perceive that certain misunderstandings of specific scriptural revelations pertaining primarily to the 70th week of the Daniel 9 prophecy were present. I persisted however with this church seeking deeper understanding and baptism also. Baptism being no small nor ceremonial matter within this church. I was baptized after assembling and engaging with them with about 2 years and having satisfied the baptismal counseling perscribed by them. But the erroneous teachings which first concerned me from early on there kept being repeated by diverse pastors within that church also. So investigating this more deeply I did discover doctrinal errors there also. I again having prayed for understanding and studying the scriptures for clarification (which I received through the Holy Spirit) discreetly (as the Bible perscribes) brought forward these concerns to the ministry. The result was similar there as was the reaction I got at SDA. Eventually I became disfellowshipped (essentially excommunicated and shunned) there and was falsely witnessed against as being apostate, as I had previously heard others before me spoken of. So this basically brings me to the present time, being one of a very few Christians I have yet encountered whom adheres to the word and the correct doctrines which it instructs. As yet without a fellowship for assembling with on Saturdays for worship and study. So I simply do that myself. There is certainly much more to being one of Christ's sheep than merely keeping the 7th day sabbath!
The Gospel Jesus has given Paul for salvation to the Gentiles doesn't teach to keep the Sabbath, which is part of the "Law", while the Church is under 'Grace'. The Sabbath for Israel was for a physical rest, and our Sabbath, as Christians, is a spiritual one and is found in Christ, in whom our souls find rest, salvation.
I would caution quoting Dennis Prager as he has many antibiblical views. He's been in many live interviews quoting & being in favor of what God detests & teaches against.
You must understand that there are two different Gospels, one "Gospel of the Kingdom" for Jews (trough the 12 apostles called 'apostles to the 'circumcision) and the the Gospel of Grace (through Paul, apostle to the 'uncircision'). Because even the apostles/disciples failed to understant this difference, the Conference of Jerusalem had to take place, where Paul explained them clearly the difference. Think about this: if it were the same Gospel/law for both Jews and Gentiles, why should Jesus had to chose some other person(Paul) than the apostles/disciples?
For people saying we no more have to keep the 'Law of God' is referring to the 613 commandments given to Israel. But as Paul said, 'we are no more under the 'Law' but that doesn't mean, I'm no more without law, being under the 'Law of Christ'. It means there is a difference between the 'Law of Moses' (613 commandments) and the 'Law of Christ'(Law of liberty) which is Grace. One can't be under the 'law' and at the same time under 'grace'. You can't mix both.
Jesus was born a Jew! Born under Law to redeem those under the law get it! Why does Jesus need to redeem people from the law, is there something wrong with observing the law?

Yes it does!!! The commandment reads " REMEMBER THE SABBATH to keep it holy." Not pick a day to worship and keep it holy. The sabbath is Saturday the 7th day of the week NOT Sunday the 6th day of the week as that is worshiped by the Pagens who believe that there is a Sun god".
Yes Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath but don’t deceive people because you want to keep Law! Nobody is justified by observing the law, the righteous will live by Faith! There is certainly much more to being one of Christ's sheep than merely keeping the 7th day sabbath!
The Gospel Jesus has given Paul for salvation to the Gentiles doesn't teach to keep the Sabbath, which is part of the "Law", while the Church is under 'Grace'.
The Sabbath for Israel was for a physical rest, and our Sabbath, as Christians, is a spiritual one and is found in Christ, in whom our souls find rest, salvation.
Fear means to reverance , respect God. The fear God is talking about is not to be afraid of him. He wants us to fear him, meaning to respect him.
I would caution quoting Dennis Prager as he has many antibiblical views. He's been in many live interviews quoting & being in favor of what God detests & teaches against.
You must understand that there are two different Gospels, one "Gospel of the Kingdom" for Jews (trough the 12 apostles called 'apostles to the 'circumcision) and the the Gospel of Grace (through Paul, apostle to the 'uncircision').
Because even the apostles/disciples failed to understant this difference, the Conference of Jerusalem had to take place, where Paul explained them clearly the difference.
Think about this: if it were the same Gospel/law for both Jews and Gentiles, why should Jesus had to chose some other person(Paul) than the apostles/disciples?
For people saying we no more have to keep the 'Law of God' is referring to the 613 commandments given to Israel. But as Paul said, 'we are no more under the 'Law' but that doesn't mean, I'm no more without law, being under the 'Law of Christ'. It means there is a difference between the 'Law of Moses' (613 commandments) and the 'Law of Christ'(Law of liberty) which is Grace.
One can't be under the 'law' and at the same time under 'grace'. You can't mix both.

Yes it does!!! The commandment reads " REMEMBER THE SABBATH to keep it holy." Not pick a day to worship and keep it holy. The sabbath is Saturday the 7th day of the week NOT Sunday the 6th day of the week as that is worshiped by the Pagens who believe that there is a Sun god".

That is a false teaching, yes keep the Sabath, but you people still not understanding of the meaning of the Sabath,, Paul clearly said do not let any one judge you on Sabath, Sabath is a symbol of the Christ the Lors of the Sabath, Christ is our Sabath start at the day of resurrection and ends on His second coming. Sabath is a resting day in old Testament for the body, and now we are resting in Soul in the Christ.

Last thing, the church continued to meet on Saturday as also all days, and the Bible mentioned The Sabath because it is Not the previous symbolic Sabath but but church meeting for those who still have day of Saturday as holiday from work so they can listen to the Word of God.
