Learning to be an artist again has been one of the most challenging things I have ever faced. After losing my soul of creating for many reasons, I have slowly been picking up again the art, learning how to find the connection, the inner part of expressing the vision, feelings, motivation, and perspective of the world around me. Your video has helped me to see the world in a more vibrant and positive motivation. Thank you so much for creating and making this video. All the best to you :)
Follower of ur ceramic saga here......congrats on finding that look you're looking for, wooo!!! Happy to hear you can achieve that even with the higher temps.🤩
Those neo color iis are awesome! They are also water soluble ❤ so I love taking them out with a water brush when I want to do some sketching at a park or cafe
Love having your videos on in the background while I work on my own projects! Feel like having a calm and inspiring friend beside me, haha! Thank you for making these videos! ♥
Love the view into what media you are consuming - makes me feel more normal to always have something playing in the background! Also my girl Charlie is great company ❤
Fun fact about company that made pastels that you using in this video: Caran d'ache was a nickname of one french-russian artist and it means "pencil" in russian! I always thought it is verrrry cute!
ah I think I was in LA around the same time! I would've simply passed away if I ran into y'all. I didn't make it to a BBP store while I was there, so jelly :,)
Hello Megan! Really enjoy watching your super chilled videos especially after a long hectic and stressful day at work. You also give me the courage to eventually become a full-time artist one of these days, so thank you for the indirect encouragement. Haha 😂 Also, I’ve been wondering what type of stand you use for your iPad, it’s the white one?. I’ve been trying to find one that is reasonable but functional. Thank you again for the lovely video. 😊
Does your studio offer mid-fire (cone 6 to cone 8) glaze firings in their electric kilns? Looking at the pieces you've shown and the glazes you're using (underglaze and clear), I think that could suit your style more than the cone 10 reduction firing. Your underglazes won't get so dark/browned and will stay truer to color in a mid fire, the clear glazes end up more clear and the clay body doesn't darken as much. The electric kilns are also much faster to fire than a cone 10 reduction so you get your work back faster.
yes they do but not for students :( so I can't use it!! I want to do midrange SO badly since it just makes way more sense for my work but I'm not allowed. Maybe one day!!
Not sure if you know this already, but since you didn't whip out a paintbrush, I'm going to mention it - those Neocolor II pastels you were using are water soluble.
