I was having the exact same problem which is why I made this video. What I found is that you need to: 1. Make sure the lyrics match for a rap style song, 2. Use prompts for sun-genres of rap like “ratchet rap”. It seems to be better with black voices when you do that.
@ it isn’t working at all; I used to have go through 10-20 generations to find an acceptable voice but this update kind of ruined it for minority consumers.
@@AtlLateNight I'm sorry to hear that. I think this is something we should try and message Suno about. I'll keep trying some additional prompts as well to see if I can find any shortcuts. They are missing out on a huge audience if they cant at least get this part right.
Put the type of rock you want in the style section along with male singer or female singer or use a more descriptive set of word like “gravely baritone male singer” or “smooth and silky sounding soprano fame singer” I have found that descriptive or emotional terms help get closer to the voice you want
Hey there, first, lemme thank you for making these cool videos :) I started to work with Suno and I love it, because it is such a great outlet for my creativity. But I also keep running into small issues and I wonder if you have an idea what I can do about one of them. One of my projects is a song where humans talk to a robot/ai, and no matter how hard I try, I cannot get suno to use a voice that sounds artificial or robotic. Which is kinda funny, considering the fact that suno IS an ai, but of course I can understand that is is also told to to its very best to NOT sound artificial. So now I wonder, do you know of a tag or command I can use to have it use a robotic voice? 🤖 😃
You're not the only one running into this problem. To get specific voices, I've found it best to try a song style that this type of voice can usually be heard in. The only songs that I know that do this are 80's style. The other key to this is the lyrics. Standard English will get you standard white sounding voices. I wanted a strong Irish accent for a song so I translated the lyrics into Gaelic and then found a really great accent. Saved the persona and then used it on other songs. I just tested a song using 8 bit, 80's techno rock, robotic accent... within the lyrics I used elongated vowels and things like: neerro grrreeel ohhhh tooowha feeeeerl - and it came up with a somewhat digital sounding voice. you might go in that direction and see what it does. - matt
How do you make “black voices” with prompts? Every R&b song sounds like a white pop singer

@@AtlLateNight Let me know what ends up working for you. A lot of people are having the same trouble that we are.

Glad it was helpful!
Hello Matt, how could you make Rock singing Male or Female voice character?
