    Lambs wool is amazing...on my first Camino I got a blister almost right away between my big toe and the one beside. I packed the area with lambs wool and was able to continue on for 3 weeks! Learned a lot from that first adventure. No blisters on my second Camino, and gearing up for my third.
    Always nice to see how other people approach their packing.
    Cheers

    That was utterly brilliant! I will apply a lot of what you suggested. I plan to camp out with a tarp over half the days so I have learned now how to cut unnecessary weight in other areas. Merino wool is the way to go. :) Thanks for a great video.

    Thanks for the inspiration, you are almost as minimalistic as Artis Guru - that guy claims in his videos that he has only 3 items in his bag(!)... What do you think from your experience, is it even possible in real life?

      Thanks for watching. Do you have a link to the Artis Guru video? It’s probably possible but also sounds a bit extreme.

    Thanks....... I was just checking out those pants. They look really skinny. I'm your size...did you find them too tight around the thighs??

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  3 года назад

      Hey, John. Western Rise makes awesome stuff. The pants are slim but definitely not tight in the thighs. I’ve worn pants that have more give and stretch than these, but on the Camino I actually like pants that are more durable. They fit great. Would wear em again!

    Do you use the shoes to shower in the bathroom in Alberge?

    • @DaysWeSpend

      Sometimes. It really depended on how new/clean the Albergue was. Lainey always wore her shower shoes, but I’m not very particular -Shawn

    I'm looking at doing the Camino in 2021. Did you spend an involuntary night outdoors at all? I hear many albergues are getting so full that if you are a slower walker, you may end up without a room ... and need a sleep kit to stay outside.

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  4 года назад +4

      Hi Hunters, we never had to spend a night outside. The few times we had trouble getting beds we walked to the next town or paid for a more expensive place. However, 2021 is a holy year. It will be extremely crowded. You can make reservations, wake up earlier, end your day earlier, etc. there’s always a solution if you ask for help. We made a whole video on this with some extra tips: ruclips.net/video/q2NihKLdfuQ/видео.html

    Hi Shawn, I noted that you didn't use any fanny bag (waist pouch to keep cash, credit card etc.). So how you keep those valuable stuff with you or when you sleep? 😅

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching. I do use a fanny pack, but when I hike, it's in my backpack. For sleeping, I put my valuables in the fanny pack and either sleep with it inside my sleep sack, or clip it to the bed frame next to my head.
