I agree with you on the fresh slate part. Future redemeed ended the trilogy on a great note, bringing in even more direct call backs to Xenogears to go full circle from where Xenoblade started. It does feel weird continuing the franchise after that kind of ending, even if Takahashi said he wants to continue the xenoblade franchise
Atleast they wrapped up the Klaus saga neat and tidy. Unlike Kingdom Hearts which spent nearly 2 decades on the Xehanort Saga and still doesn't make sense...
GOD NO DONT MAKE IT ACTION XENOBLADE HAS SUCH A UNIQUE SYSTEM AND I WANT MORE XENOBLADE 2 TYPE COMBAT IT WAS SO CLEAN AND HAD PRESSURE. Also xenoblade has some of the best most complex rewarding unique combat of any game iv ever played
Huge agree on the story. The Conduit is basically the only Klaus saga mystery that wasn’t wrapped up so IMO it’s the perfect way to kickstart a new story with a completely fresh slate other than being set in the same multiverse. I love the original casts of 1/2/3 but I think it’ll cheapen the impact of those games if we continue to follow Bionis/Alrest and any worlds related to them in the main games (Although I’m definitely not opposed to them appearing as costumes, in explicitly non canon DLC or even spin-off titles.) I also really hope they go harder on the sci-fi elements earlier or even just have it be completely sci-fi from the beginning like X.
It's kinda crazy we haven't gotten any space/galaxy themed jrpgs in quite a while, at least none that have popped up on my radar since xenoblade X. Even then, it wasn't really about spacefare I hope the xeno series eventually gets back to it
I want to see XCX level open world and XC1 and 2 level narrative. Thats it. That's my fantasy and I think it is possible with Switch 2's hardware. I also believe it will be much more sci fi than usual
I agree with everything you have said and think it's reasonable to expect similar things in the next game. Saying that I really want a focus on electronic sounds for the music for the next xeno game, especially if it's going to lean even further in the sci-fi direction, then for the final boss have something completely different like choir and acoustic to really tells us this baddy is strange and otherworldly. The final boss idea is really just an extension of the one in FR and 1 they both are almost angelic in their music and designs.
also a returning elemental system would be cool, though changed up from 2 and torna. Maybe weapons/classes themselves wont have elements but the arts do? So one weapon could have multiple elements. Or maybe go with a system similar to Skies of arcadia where you can change out your weapons elemental damage type on the fly.
You want a clean break with the next game. I want Xenoblade 4 to double as Xenosaga 4, if just to force BamCo to pull the trigger on a re(make/master).
The only hope I have for the next game is the combat staying the way it is, perhaps with some extra features or whatever. If they end up turning it into a similar system like the new Final Fantasy games I'm gonna be a very sad individual. Other than that, they can cook up whatever they fancy, it'll for sure be tasty.
I loved the open style aspect in Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 nice big areas to traverse and explore was so much fun. And yes please I’d love the Mechs to come back even if it’s just a little bit, that was so fun in X❤ Excellent video ❤ valid points I love your ideas I feel more or less the same way honestly. I really enjoyed the combat mechanics in Xenoblade, more so in 2 and X then the other games. I like the custom armor so I can actually see the characters change their appearances.
Good choices. Xeno series should always involve mechs to some degree, originating from Xenogears which focused on Gear fighting just as much as normal battles. On a similar note, since it seems we're never getting another Xenogears or even a remake, next Xeno game should be just as insane as it in terms of lore and plot. There might be an issue creating a threat exceeding Moebius, demanding the use of mechs to put it down... how about Aionos getting invaded by another planet which has its own mechs and Drivers?
I think between X and the main series need a different massive different in combat I wanted in X is more action rpg, full control of the main character ( like dragon dogma )with AI companion and adding Asynchronous multiplayer like xbcx and you can also playing co op with your friends drop in drop out in the open world, tackle various quest. Building stettlement and adding underwater world is a plus in Next XBCX. But in main series or XBC4, combat system still can use auto attack team with a few new things here and there. That can make us who are fans of Xenoblade has two different type of game
And they made the game more like Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana. I appreciate that. Ys VIII is definitely the best action-jrpg on the switch and it is a Zelda like in a way.
For me, what I want comes from Future Redeemed's ending. I want a game where we get the main casts of 1,2,3, and FR together, as well as Kos-mos, Shion, and other Xenosaga characters. Since I do genuinely believe they got some type of permission from Bandai Namco to bring Xenosaga into the lore, now whether that leads to remakes or remasters (I'd be happy with either). I would love to see and have all these legacy characters interact and work together. Also I agree on wanting mechs back, that was one of my biggest wants from 3 and I got hopeful when I saw the boat in gameplay snippets thinking vehicles were back but nope 1x thing. For combat, I do think they'll change things a bit, but I wouldn't mind something between 2 and 3/FR's systems. What I don't want is the more recent FF gameplay, because while I haven't played 16 yet, I remember feeling 7 Remake's combat just feeling clunky.
Make the main character a punk or some sort of delinquent or just some sort of anti-hero, I really think you can do something really cool with that type of character in this series as the main character
I just wish that they eventually tie Xenoblade with Xenosaga and Xenoblade Chronicles X in the next Saga in a direct way and that the stories remain great instead of eventually falling off for some reason.
If not an X sequel, I definitely agree with the game being a blank slate. New setting = new history and no shackles from the past. COMBAT 1.) Better combat pacing. Xenoblade 2 and 3 had big pacing problems. In XC2, a lot of combat was performing boring QTEs while watching cutscenes of your blade doing moves. Level 4 attacks and third stage blade combos providing invincibility frames which was a cool mechanic, but the QTE's themselves were lame and the cutscenes played constantly. It wasn't interactive. In Xenoblade 3, chain attacks were the end all be all in combat and required no setup whatsoever besides maybe breaking the enemy first. This meant that you could spend 30 seconds in combat, start a chain attack and kill basically every boss in the game from full HP. In a new Xenoblade game, the cutscenes during combat should be saved for special events AND chain attacks should be shorter and more situational. 2.) More ways to interact with enemies and the environment. Specifically, how can terrain, positioning and the effects of your moves can change combat. Stuff like being able to blowdown enemies into spikes or hit weakpoints is really cool. Xenoblade 2 made enemies topple/break themselves during certain moves which let you affect them with driver combos. That was a really cool mechanic that I wish was expanded upon. Xenoblade X's appendage system was also really great. 3.) Item descriptions are cool.
I played only Xenoblade Chronicles 2 while the story was great the tutorial was excessively long being like half the game. When I play a game I want to relax I don't want to go to school.

I want the announcer from xenoblade 2. I want to hear blade combo third stage! Driver combo complete! He makes everything so epic
I love the japanese battle announcer, he makes the battles feel like a tournament.
Yes! Let there be more Xenoblade chronicles X inspired content and play style!!! I would LOVE that and by a long shot!
I'm here still waiting for X2 lmaooo

I want something like Pantasy Star. Planet hopping fantasy Adventure in the ending, we go back to Earth

I just hope Dmitri Yuriev is in it.
The absolute truth
If this gets announced with the Switcharoo 2, I will be so hyped up!
This sax from ToTK just hit me hard every time!
The only hope I have for the next game is the combat staying the way it is, perhaps with some extra features or whatever.

I want to see big battle between nopons and koroks like in LOTR.

Tbh I’m so content with how the trilogy ended that I’m not sure how I’d handle another Xenoblade
Make the main character a punk or some sort of delinquent or just some sort of anti-hero, I really think you can do something really cool with that type of character in this series as the main character
Remake for Xenosaga with huge explorable zones like xenoblade!
Things I want in the next game are to bring back Mythra and Pyra and solve this mystery of Mythra's daughter or son that has not yet been revealed.
My biggest hope is only that Mythra kid is finally revealed
D
more unique towns and environments again
All I know is that it's going to be peak!
Long live Monolith Soft! 🙌🎉🎊
I just wish that they eventually tie Xenoblade with Xenosaga and Xenoblade Chronicles X in the next Saga in a direct way and that the stories remain great instead of eventually falling off for some reason.
Goddess Elma is best bae!!! ❤️🤩
We nees a Kazoo in the next Game.

Wow you're such a huge fan you do a nia impression in your videos
I planned to make Xenoblade Chronicles 4 but it's too long or not make any sense....
