Yesterday, Dec 22 I received the Step Thru I purchased for my fiancé. Took a few more days than anticipated to receive it, but it was worth the wait. My fiancé really likes it. Assembly was a breeze with the supplied tool kit. The bike rides nice and has good power. I am not fond of the leather grips…that’s my only gripe….fiancé has no problem with them lol. I have a 1000W 52V middrive, this is the first hub motor I have ridden. And this is the first fat tire bike I have ridden…I really like it. Glad I bought it for her. She’s very happy.
I’m 6 feet, 195lbs and I live in an area that has some hills. Do you think the motor in this bike is enough to handle hills, throttle only? Or do I need to purchase a bike with a mid-drive motor?
@@jdub1139 well a mid drive motor would be able to use the gears to make it much more efficient. How big are the hills, how many hills will you climb. How long will you be riding, what’s the charge status of the battery. With a 750W hub drive , 0ne or two hills and you might be fine on a not so long ride . I would want a mid drive that is no less than 1000W 52V and have a big battery if you plan to hit hills and use throttle only. If I was using a hub drive, I would want 2KW minimum with 72V and again, huge battery. But everyone has different needs. There are a lot of variables when it comes to ebikes and budgets. With a 750W hub motor, I would not expect it to live a long life if you are using throttle only and hitting hills regularly. If you are planning on throttle only rides, get a minimum of 1000W hub or mid motor. Mid motor is more suitable for hill climbs if you are less than 72V and 2KW if you use your gears effectively.
@@Todd66 This is exactly the information I needed! I live in the Hill Country of Texas and although I plan to peddle, there will definitely be times I’ll want throttle only. Thank you very much Todd. Greatly appreciated!
Just assembling mine now. This bike is a beast! I love it! Most review videos due to fish eye lenses don't show how big this bike really is! I am 6' tall and 220lbs. This bike is the perfect size.
If you cut the zip ties in the right place when removing them, they can be re used. :) there are a obscene amount of zip ties on this bike. It took me longer to remove all the zip ties than to assemble the bike LOL The bungee on the bike we got looks better than the one in this video That silver white line you see on the tires is a reflector…it’s brilliant. Love those fat tires. The forks seem to ride really nice. My fiancé and I started riding bikes last spring. We bought mountain bikes and rode near 700 miles over the spring and summer. I suspect we will be able to double that this year having ebikes now. I cannot wait until the weather breaks and we can start putting miles on our ebikes. My fiancé is 5’2” and the strep through is perfect size for her. The bike is stable, very maneuverable. I was pleasantly surprised with how it handled. I am very comfortable on a bike. I raced BMX when I was young and never went anywhere without my bike. Always jumping, riding wheelies, bunny hops, endos… So all in all, we are VERY pleased with the purchase of our (hers) Magicycle.
@@MagicycleBike you are very welcome. It’s in the 50’s here today, so I have been on it a couple of times and I cannot wait until tomorrow after it rains, we are going to go for a ride. I love how stable and maneuverable the bike feels at low speeds. That is very important for inexperienced riders. Merry Christmas to you 🎄
At 541 of the video , the black know that protected the stem on wheel, you pulled it off so easy , I can't seem to get it off , I pulled , I turned it as if it was screwed on , what advise is there so I can get it off probably ?
If I ever get my 2 bikes....UPS really screwing up my shipment!! Twice - UPS tracking claiming a delivery date then later revising it to BOTH damaged and UPS will contact shipper! It appears the UPS tracking is just recycling (no pun intended) their info. So for now - no clue when I will receive my 2 bike order?? And try to talk to an intelligent customer service agent at UPS - GOOD LUCK!!
Will someone from Magicycle kindly explain to me why it is that the company will not honor the really awesome 2 year warranty provided in the instruction manual that was supplied with my bike? Seems like the customer service people's sole function has been to tell me my warranty expired a week after I received the bike. That's not really good service. People see my bike just about every time I ride and ask about it. It's unfortunate that I have to tell them an unhappy story.
I’d like to provide an update to my comments above: Magicycle sent me a new display/button assembly at no cost and now my bike works properly. Special thanks go to Yao and Mel B from Magicycle.
i received this bike on may the 7th was damaged in shipping , today is 6/16/22 support still has not sent the parts , if you receive a damaged bike send it back! support is horrible!
Great, clear instructions. You have a British accent, but I guess you may have lived in China/ Asia for some time. Nice! I have lived off and on in India for 10. years. Back in the states now.
The gifts that will actually be received are subject to those listed on the product page of the official website when ordering.
Can't wait to get mine to review and compare for the ebike community on my Channel.

I noticed that you demo person tried to install the left pedal by turning clockwise. How’d that work for you?
He fixed that
You just saved me with your comment 😅..just did the assembly and got stuck on the pedals ( was doing clockwise as video showed lol) Thanks!

I’m looking for a video on how to attach the front headlight to the basket that has a bracket in front of it to attach the headlight
just as I figured, you didn't show how you got the handle bars on. I'm so frustrated on getting my handel bar on by myself.
What tripped me up was the shock assembly protection bit on his is backwards from mine. I had to attach/reattach the handlebars twice!
Handlebar very difficult to position. Needs higher quality screws.
Great looking bike. I think i found the bike for my wife and I. A suspension seatpost would help. What size diameter is the seat post?
It's 30.9mm
