They really dont need to keep pushing better graphics and physics. They should just make all the games optimized for handhelds. Because handheld pcs are the future of gaming.
Playing with the render scaling helps. I lowered the resolution also. Its running on mediumish. I thought it looked too bad on low everything. Trying get it to look a bit better while maintaining 30 fps. The game is really fun but alot of my games look much better on higher settings then this game. Probably optimization or something.
or get decky- powertools and get better fine tuning. cpu clocks matter a lot. and a bit of overclock on that and keeping a 200-300 mhz down on gpu could really help.

Been playing this since late march on steam deck, im only mouse+keyboard player on fps games, i just cant play anything with mouse and keyboard on 3rd person games, so for me playing on deck or controller just feels better, thats just me tho. anyways i play this mostly on low settings and it looks and plays extreamly good, even when its docked
ive been playing on ps5 for a long time but me and my brother have been useing the same account for helldivers (We dont want to pay for ps+ on 2 accounts) and i want to get a steam deck to run helldivers (i have a laptop and not regular pc) but is there any way to bring the progress from our shared account, or do i have to reset progress to lvl 1? and should i get a steam deck for this or keep playing on a shared account?
As of now there’s no cross progression so your character and stats won’t carry over to the pc version. I think getting a steam deck is a good choice for gaming in general, not just for this game
Last two patches killed performance. I have spent hours making the game run as good as it can and 2 patches ago I could keep high 20s consistently with little drops on diff 7 to 9. Now I get low 20s and drops to teens constantly.
@@hartomethod oh,I have the deck running with a pinned GPU frequency of 1300 so the CPU has as much juice as possible. Unless their latest patch reversed the atrocious perfornance, you will find them. I mean, 4 and 5 diff missions are locked 30 fps basically. 7-9 are bad. 9 is a bit better.
I play with a mouse and keyboard on a monitor with my steam deck through the desktop mode. It's playable on lvl 9 Helldive with lower leaning custom settings.
My steam deck literally DOES NOT play multiplayer on this game. Can someone help? I just keep getting “failed to join game lobby” or 30 minute+ quick play wait times
Hey bud, I can for sure tell you that the game chugs down during the drop because it is absolutely HAMMERING 🔨 your CPU to load the level and compile the shaders. It hits everyone's system 100% full power load. Lotta CPUs crashing atm especially intel, would be funny if it was Helldivers fault.
They really need to update the hardware in this thing so you can play games like this with better graphics and performance.. AMD Zen2 and RDNA2 just does not cut it anymore..
So it chugs along but it runs great? Don't things break every patch? Stop overhyping the deck, it's disappointing for the cost unless you truly mobile game all the time.
Love my Deck but you are correct, this game isn't a good fit and this guy is overhyping. Its bs, this game won't run well. its great for streaming good PC to it or playing games like Persona, Legend Of Heros, Project Nimbus, Armored Core 6 (meaning Elden Ring should run on it), Baldurs Gate 3, Spider Man, CSGo, Coromon, Just Cause 3, Cyberpunk 2077 (Unless you move really fast and have 5 stars than it crashes but other than that it runs decent), Hades, Terraria, Minecraft, Torree 3D, Warframe, Telltale Games, Tales Of Arise, Sonic Generations, Severed Steel, Sniper Elite 4, Portal 2, Doom, Dragons Dogma, Apex Legends, Ark, and thousands more+emulation. So yeah a very small selection 😂

I agree! Hybrid consoles are way more convenient than strictly hdmi out only consoles
I find the game looks better being played on desktop mode vs game mode
Haven’t tried that
I play this on my Legion Go, but its good to know that it runs on the Steam Deck. Might get my daughter a copy since she plays on my old Steam Deck.
Definitely playable

That’s true. I’m going to run cryo-utilities to see if it helps
Yoo dudes, are you running the LCD model or an OLED? Looks like the LCD but just wanted to double-check
LCD
LCDs will have white thumbsticks, the two OLED models will have either black or red (unless manual replaced, obviously)
@@ZephyrusAsmodeus cheers man. I'm aware of it just thought I'd double-check anyways ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

Turn on Manual GPU Clock and set to 1600mhz, TDP Limit to 15W should smooth out the stuttering a bit.
Will do! Appreciate the tip

Actually game is crazy CPU bound so pinning GPU to 1300 or 1400. Not that it matters much since last couple of patches killed performance

I haven’t run into that low of an fps. I know you can also customize the decks performance settings to help too

Maybe it’s also because the missions have more enemies? I think that will drop the frames too
What about harder difficulty with more enemies? Does it run good?
No.
The fps takes a little more of a dip with more on the screen

@@LrdBxRck you are getting mid 20s with deeps into teens.
Are you running it from internal memory? Or is it from micro sd card ?
Micro sd card
Runs around 10-15fps faster in Windows on the Deck. Frame pacing is far better too. Do it!
But don't you have to buy windows?
But then I have to dual boot and I don’t wanna 😕

Try updating the game or running from desktop mode
Never ran into that issue. Maybe cross play is disabled?
honestly, if i completed RDR2 on 30fps on xbox one then i can cope with 40fps on helldivers
Right!
i might save my allowance money for this

Makes sense! Thanks for the info
I must be I got lucky I am using a Intel Core i7-6700K Which is a ancient old CPU and everything runs fine paired with a Geforce RTX 2070 Super.
Found that only happens after certain updates once. Compiling shaders or something I guess.
