I just bought a Hisense 43" A4GV. When I power on the TV it goes directly to Antenna setup. I don't use any external devices, antenna, cable, HDMI or USB. I only use RUclips and Plex. I can get to this menu by pressing Home but is that necessary? All I want to know is; is there a way to have the TV go directly to the app menu as shown in all VIDAA videos? I emailed Hisense support but didn't receive a reply. I called Hisense support and they couldn't answer the question. They suggested I do a Factory Reset, which just brings me back to the same antenna setup..

Can the build-in media player recognise webm files? My friend says his TV with the new U5 os cannot, and only sees mp4 files. Most high quality 4k videos are webm format. While the os is very snappy and feels better than Android Tv, the closed system means functionality is very constrained......what a miss. Please look into better media support, else it becomes awhite elephant when you can’t even support playing 4k webm files natively.
WebM files are usually extremely condensed files used for internet playback in poor network environments. They are not suitable for playback on Smart TVs, as they are heavily compressed and quality is heavily compromised.
Vidaa media player needs better file support, the message "file not compatible" appears very often when I tried to play some MKVs (x265, x264) with SD, HD and UHD content. Please update the player or at least allow the possibility to install VLC or any other good player from the app store.

very true.... i made mistake .. i recently buy 85 inch without knowing vidaa is not android tv. i have gone through this video some months back. i really forgot about VIDAA is not android. recently when i planned to buy large 85 inch tv i mostly gone through video US android version. but in middle east region it was vidaa. in US tcl was with roku. but my region tcl was android. i was looking for budget tv so i was searching for tcl or hisense. internet reviews really confused and in amazon good offer was going on for latest 85 inch tv . price was dropping . suddenly i decide by skipping VIDAA OS part and order it. i mistaken that somehow its android TV.. VIDAA is their own version of android TV, after receiving it i realized i made a biggest mistake. really disappointed .. eventhough latest 85 inch TV it has VIDAA 3.0 literally no apps. no voice control, screen sharing is two steps process. freeview needs all in the same network. Somewhere in one review it was mentioning hisense was having more feature than tcl. but that was for US region. in middle east region it was entirely opposite. Above all price dropped drastically within 3 days LOL..
Now I have had it for months an cannot return it cause I bought it through ebay and from the Caribbean. I use my Andriod box addon because this Vidaa is crap. They should discontinue this crap. You can't do ANYTHING. It is just a glorified screen thats it.
