    Matt absolutely love this idea! We always have left over rice and yes, we live our Jasmine rice. Going to try this recipe and thinking of sprinkling some togarashi in with the mirin!

    def consider pull out drawers/racks that way you can still stack without having a hard time getting to stuff.

    I rinse my rice in a strainer. So much easier.
    New sub BTW.
    I cook my rice in the microwave. Its amazing!!!

    if you use a strainer and no bowl, how do you tell when the water is no longer cloudy?

    I got rid of my rice cooker after getting an Instant Pot. (I don't like single function tools that clutter my kitchen.)
    It is acceptable for cooking rice, but the Warm function is too high and dries it out.

    Washing the rice in the rice cooker bowl is a staple training for all Asian kids growing up. If we dare lose a single grain of rice during the washing period, we might as well flee to another country to escape Dishonor, shame, and whipping from the mother and father
