UCSF Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, MD, MPH, bestowed the University's highest honor to four internationally renowned innovators and leaders for outstanding contributions aligned with UCSF's mission to advance health worldwide. She presented the UCSF Medal at the 2012 Founder's Day banquet on April 5 to Charles F. Feeney, founding chairman and director, The Atlantic Philanthropies.

Nothing can beat that thought! What an amazing gentleman.
My thoughts. Everyone wants to get rich, but what is the point if you are only doing it for yourself? There are about a billion people who make a dollar or less a day so if you are going to seek wealth, seek wealth for the benefit of others.

It melts my heart.
I went to his grave in Dublin. 86 miles from my home, and thanked him. Part of his ashes were buried in a small grave, which astonished me, but i reflexed later: "That's chucks way of saying, I'm not that important."
I have so much respect for this man, I don't know how I never heard of him before now, he is like a modern day God

The global economy benefits the rich countries, so why should anything change when it is in the best interest of banks and businesses for developing countries to remain poor?
