    Having been a chef for 25 years it is nice to get a different perspective from another budding chef/cook. Like many of the comments on all your videos, I don't think I have cooked so many curries over lockdown as I have in the past. My neighbours, family and friends all wait patiently for me to do a curry night. I don't have a large kitchen but still manage to produce 3 or 4 different curries with the base gravy recipe. Al, I believe you have kept me busy over lockdown, which in turn has kept me sane. Great work again and may it continue.

    Al,ive made quite a few of your curries and also some from mistyricardo and the curry kid but i still keep.coming back to this one ,so quick and simple but tastes so good .can easily adjust spice heat with more or less chilli powder and have different proteins instead of chicken ,ie fish ,prawns,beef ,lamb etc and they work perfect.

      Different recipe you mean

    • @malbig2344
      @malbig2344 6 лет назад

      yes indeedy, I have obviously varied your original recipe - added coconut milk and sometimes more or less sugar etc less or more and sometimes different spices etc. I once watched a Gordon Ramsey program where the same base gravy was used in a restaurant where the customers were encouraged to "make your own curry" and Gordon commented that because the base gravy was the same the finished curry was not that different to each other in taste... I have found that when cooking with your base gravy, the actual finished article is very similar to each other. I think your channel would definitely benefit from a choice of different base gravy recipes. I hope that this comment is taken in the constructive manner as it is meant. I love your passion, I love your channel and I love curry.
