I do invest in cardboard and I am a patreon as well but I couldn't agree more with your statement about Rudy's straight talk, long form videos.
They really are the reason I subscribe to him thru patreon. Personally I would love to see more whiteboard videos.
Definitely a lot to take away from these videos for anyone who's willing to watch, totally agree.
Said it once many years ago and will say it until the end: these type of videos are the real MVPs of this channel. Yes, easy booster openings and stuff get traction and likes but THESE are the real deal. Honest, mature, N.F.G and slapping people with a big Phyrexian Tower of reality in their faces. Thank you. You may have changed more lives with this real talk and board videos than you may actually realise.
Hi Rudy, I don't know if you actually read these but it you do, thank you. This is what I need to hear to keep going. I see people everyday give up after one small misstep and I kinda feel bad for them. Again truly, thank you.
Stuck in this mindset. Wasted my 20's working for a company that dumped me without notice when things got tight. My 30's so far has been a repeat. Was grinding away at my job, 6 - 7 days a week, 10 - 14 hours a day, sacrificed all semblance of a personal life. Missed milestones. Laid off again in the end. Back to square one and rapidly approaching 40 alone. Years gone, grinding for other people to become rich off my labor. It's hard to not be resentful and negative. I'm tired, boss.
I feel yeah man, time to work for yourself and start referring to yourself as boss. You can do it! And deserve it so go get it
Don't work for assholes. I did it, now I shop around at job interviews. Make my boundaries clear and avoid personality disorder red flags in potential employers. Next next next.
a lot of history's most famous people were not even known yet in their 40s. Your life could change completely in a day. Don't give up, take a step back to figure out what you value in life and then start making a plan on how to pursue it. You're not alone bro
Try to find yourself a job that has to do with a hobby of yours or something you truly enjoy doing. That might be difficult but is probably also very rewarding on the long run. Be more selfish about what you want. Happiness is a thing you have to fight for, especially when youre in a down. The good thing is, after every down there is also an Up. I hope you can claw yourself back into enjoying life, bro.

Omg How can you get so many old wearthlight boxes ?here in Brazil there are no more of these boxes, can you still find boxes of these editions in large quantities like urza, odyssey, mirage?
This can all be boiled down to "capturing the gain" as the main take-away. Because the reality is that negativity and skepticism is what keeps us protected/hedged against a the larger losses. Because if there's opportunity in EVERYTHING then you stand to lose the most from the things that crash the hardest. Pick a path forward that feels comfortable that includes long term plans for medium to long term gains, and that's the best thing for you. Because the reality is that the opportunities that seem to have the most upside are often the ones that stand to lose the most. Negativity keeps you hedged against the larger losses. But the other side of that sword is not doing anything. Find the middle.
People have trouble taking action for expected results that are comprised of a set of absolute results with their own probabilities.

Great conversation Rudy. You are 100% right about starting a RUclips channel. I started my channel 11 months ago and have grown it to 2200+ subscribers because I've been diligent about posting videos every day (over 500) and responding to every comment. I've also learned to listen to my viewers of the channel and take their feedback as encouragement to do better.
Definitely - you can't judge your actions based on merit, on outcomes. You can only judge this: "did I make the best decision with the info available at the time? And if not, what would have been a better decision based on that info only?"

I am trying to transition to the have instead of the have nots. I think it is working, but I don't think I will see it making a big tangible difference in my life for another 3 to 5 years. With that being said I am also only in my early/mid 30s. If I see a slightly life changing quality of life increase in my mid to late 30s I think that's pretty good! Also need to plug myself by saying I have a RUclips where I document the progress every week. It keeps me on track if nothing else!

I know he's super wealthy and most not so well off people can't relate to him in certain ways (myself included) but I gotta give respect when it's due! Indeed, there are multiple ways to "the top". Most of them with high yields also come with higher risks, not everybody is cut out to take up on those. And they are more likely to fail if they are too cautious, overthinking etc. or simply not educated to make a good choice.
Choosing alone is tough, especially when offered incomplete sets of options. More doomed to fail than not.

Hope you saw my comment on the Pokemon is in a Bubble video about the FEDs Balance sheet and your thoughts on the massive increase of that balance sheet when they should be doing QT.
I think saying “time and resources” is a wrong statement. It should be “time and other resources” because time is a resources as you are describing. It’s like paying 1 life for a card could be interpreted as “studying for 1 year to get information and understand it ahead of everyone else.”
I wonder if Rudy actually knows how much sealed magic he has per set? I imagine it's at least written down, but does he KNOW how many mirage boxes he has for example.
