I feel like Hera is the most humble guy in the AoE2 scene, where he takes most advice from viewers seriously and changes up based on whatever legitimate things he hears his viewers say. Not only is it really nice to follow and support someone like that, but it also increases our willingness to engage in his community, because it makes us feel heard and taken seriously.
It’s also why he’s so good. His willingness to change and adapt is second to none.
He is also one of the most willing to ban people for completely harmless comments on both his twitch and discord. Likely here as well, lets see if my comment gets removed

@@tauren4246 People always like to claim their comments are "completely harmless". Sorry, nothing against you now, but my experience with the Internet says people are horrible in judging themselfs in such things.
@@thoneras9611 i know several people who got banned and it was indeed always harmless stuff, sometimes when cheering for a player other than hera, other times when they write some joke about subathon. for example one guy wrote "sleepathon" during the hera's subathon event when hera was sleeping and got banned just for that.
Loved the tactical way he handled that mass of cav archers towards the end!
1:27 "I feel rusty even though I played literally all day today..."
Rank and file AoE2 players feel rusty when they return from a three-week vacation. Hera, who plays all day long 365/365, feels rusty when he returns from his lunch break.
When i deleted my CA i thought they were dead anyway. I saw the stone gates in my head before Hera even placed them 11. But having no knights on the field was a big misplay strategy wise

@@MrBlues113 The orange player knew he was going to lose all of the cavalry archers, so he decided to delete them. (This isn't a useful thing to do, but he knew he is being recorded and decided to make them die in a more interesting way).

@@xardasygo2727 Same! Xardas was my fav character, I used the nick too for a long time. I played Gothic when I was 12 or 13 or sth. I finished g3 once, that was enough. G4 doesn't even exist in my eyes 1111

Noob question here: can anyone tell me the advantage of deleting your army when it's trapped? Wouldn't it have been better for orange to stand his ground and do what damage he could while resigning himself to losing his army? Is it to deny his opponent score or something?
I think it was just out of anger or panic, but it was a mistake from orange.
He just did it as a joke, knowing they were going to die.
Oh my god... i did it to have a fun little moment while acknowledging what he just did there and mainly because in the next 5 seconds most of them are dead anyway

As a console player, the single unit micro is non existent if I need to pick a unit out of a big group quickly, and also if it’s crowded on the map it will magnetize to a different unit or building which makes me mad. But overall macro is more important so I’m 1240 something because of that

hey hera, why take sheeps at all on 4 lakes? with high enough APM, you can ignore sheeps and berries and 5 on deer+ boar till you have 6-7 on wood and then the f ships give the food boost to compensate.
