When you fitted the door skin I was like wow man, your skills are getting better. I love this build. Keep going mate. Its cool that you can ask your dad for stuff like this - always cool to see that.
Thanks mate i appreciate it. Im glad! Cant wait for all of you to see it when its complete. Yes i am lucky to have him as my dad. He will always drop what he is doing to help. I am trying to convince him to join me one day.
The spray adhesive your using has solvent that made the paint on the inside of your mold get soft and made it stick to your part. If you do have to paint a mold be sure to use paint that is 2 part and hardens. Looking great either way mate
Have you thought about putting the aluminum in between the carbon layers to help stiffen the door molds. Maybe find some bronze bushings to press into your door hinges for use with the new pins or use a bearing so the load is distributed even so the door doesn't sag
@@jcmcclellan82 yeah mate thats what i have to try think about. But once the door skin is glued on and seald will stiffin it rite up i think. Just some fine tuning. Thanks mate!
@@BIFIRI_97😎👍 Ahh okay, that's done all the time on RUclips. Next time Just add ' credit:lamborghini ' in the corner of the footage and your covered 💪 love the build😍
Awesome job on the carbon fibre it looks amazing. That door handle is a cool design too, but i think there's a reason why no one puts the door handle above the window line- it looks fuggn awful, anyways that's just my opinion please don't let it put you off. Keep up the great work dude👍
Hey, that looks really good. I have one question, which windows do you want to use or do you want to drive without side windows? I have a BMW E46 M3 and I just bought carbon doors for the tracktool, but these have a FRAME so that you can attach the windows.
@@rasmusljungdahl3238 thanks mate, yes there will be a window. But will have a frame to hold it and another latch to hold the window from ripping off at high speeds. That will be in another video down the track.
Yeah, brother... suggest not painting your molds. If you have repairs, use a putty made from gel coat and microcells, Paint is fragile and can soften during curing. Keep it uo, great channel.
Great progress but, I have some concerns. Ally on Ally door hinges probably isn’t a great idea. From a wear point of view. While the door is super light, I’m worried the hinges won’t wear well. My second concern is adjustment and replacement. If they do wear or beak, the replacement will need to be cut off and a new one welded on.
@@woznaldo its ok mate took me 20 minutes to cut and bend these brackets. Race car stuff. Wont be opened every single day like a daily driver. Cheers 😁

Not sure if anyone mentioned, try corematt in laminate, will stiffen up panels considerably, only goes in middle, doesn’t need to be edge to edge.

Using PVA will help release the part and protect the mold.
You know what i was thinking that. And there is another type of release agent you wipe on aswell. I have to try it. Cheers

Get yourself a cable drive for your Dremel to get the motor away from the carbon dust; thats what kills the motors in them.
Correct, stricker plate 👍
