I absolutely agree with the paint... the blue interior IMO is actually sick, if the car was either completely argento nurburgring with that blue interior, or, argento nurburgring with the AC matching blue exterior accents (minus the wheels, too much there) it would actually look stunning.....but.... IDK if you've actually looked into the 296, it's capabilities and it's powerplant, but the thing is literally a unicorn.... it's one of those cars that's so good, it's being kinda overlooked, like people think the SF90 is the top mid engined offering currently from Ferrari.... that's what Ferrari wants you to believe as well, but they clearly made a mistake with the 296, it's F'ing phenomenal. I've seen it beat the SF90 both in the ¼ and the ½ mile, sure it doesn't have the sheer lateral grip as the SF90 for tracks like the Ring, but it still ran a sub 7 minute time, and IMO, is the superior "everyday" supercar. Definitely wouldn't take a 488 over it....sure the 488 is gorgeous, but the 296 is literally the direct evolution of the Dino 206/246, I actually think if they would've called it the Dino it would've been even more lusted after.

I haven’t driven the 750S, but had a quick go in both the 296GTB with the adaptive suspension, and the Assetto Fiorano trim. The track-biased suspension is noticeably more communicative, and the car steers with more confident. Definitely it’s the driver’s choice between the two trims. Other than that, the 296 is incredibly fast at all times. The torque-fill is seamless and the gear shift is lightning quick. The bar is indeed set very very high. A big step ahead from the 488 and the F8 Tributo.

He's wrong in saying that 750S front springs rates being stiffer than 720S. Actually front track is is wider and softer (for improved front end bite) this is combined with stiffer rear spring rates to reduce understeer.
720S was inclined to understeer on the limit more than some of its fast customers would like, when combined with its max boost lag, that car was prone to frustrate in power down mid/out corner scenarios.

Amazing that the 750S STILL looks more modern than the 296, even futuristic. McLaren knocked it WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY out of the park with the 720. Not much was needed to keep the 750S ahead of everything short of a full-blown hypercar.
Even more incredible when you consider the Big Mac is 20,000 quid less than the Ferrari.

To be honest, would the 296 really disappear into the distance against a 750 s on the road? I’d believe you might see a distance on the track, but can you really explore the performance of either enough on the road safely or legally on the road? Latterly, definitely not, formerly, not a chance without at the very least terrifying other road users. My dad and I were making respectable cross country progress when am r35 gtr overtook us, deploying a significantly larger proportion of its performance than we wer3 I; the gti and it was frankly ridiculous to be doing that speed on that road. Even in an R35, if the driver had to take evasive action, somebody would have died as somebody would’ve had no time to react.
I’d be fascinated to know who specs their 296 to that level? It’s like going to a fine dining restaurant and ordering rverything on the menu just because you can. Doesn’t mean you’ve had an amazing meal compared to person who’s taken time to order something they’ll enjoy.
