To my perspective, it seems that Ming-hua has a reflexes of a squirrel. But I was hoping for her backstory of her life before she joined the red lotus and how she lost her arms or if she was born without arms.
She was born without arms it's confirmed by the writers . But i would like too to learn her backstory . I believe she came to have the ideology of zaheer because propably the world treated her like shit . But i woyld like an oficcial story of the red lotus .
I feel like how ming hua died was EXTREMELY situational, because if any other water bender was there and used the octopus tendrils any weak lightning bender will still be able to electrocute her and if we're talking raw power ming hua is by far a stronger bender than mako
ming hua was really powerful, just like toph, yet both of them were limited at some point (ming hua more tho), id like to see katara vs ming hua, tbh ming hua, together with unalaq and probably older eska n desna are the only waterbenders who can give katara an actual fight (if we don't count bloodbenders) but yeah ming hua was truly an amazing waterbender wish we saw more of her

One of the best things I love about the red lotus is that they were basically a dark team Avatar instead of preserving order her and trying to save the world they wanted to destroy the work of anarchy and try to make sure to bring the world to attach to order without borders of Nations which which itself is pretty intense I mean look at the joker's betrayal in the dark Knight he was an agent of chaos and that's what these guys are in legend of Korra.

Ming Hua is a master at waterbending, because if you didn't notice, she's the first person to have ever actually beaten Desna and Eska in a fight. She can also waterbend without arms, and change the ends of water tentacles to ice whilst the majority stay as water.
a true bender wields thier elements as an extension of themself....she has always had to rely on her waterbending to interract with the world,and because of this personal connection she has an deeper understanding of her waterbending...thus she takes the concept to its literal extend and then some.
No mention of Bolin's "Two truths and a Lie" where it's heavily implied that Ming Hua and Ghazan have a crush on each other? It's one of those small moments that make me want to know those characters a lot more, which is great writing.

Think about it. In order to prevent her escape, they would have needed yo keep her away from water. Human beings need water for survival. She was probably given a mouthfull of water every two days or something for 13 years. Thats inhumane. In addition she doesn't have arms. She would have probably had to kneel like an animal in order to eat. That's degrading as hell. No wonder she's mad

Imagine a sandbender doing sand tendrils similar stuff like ming hua's water tendrils, and also glass blades at the tips of those sand tendrils just like ming hua uses ice blades at tips of those water tendrils, and imagine a hybrid bender capable of producing not only water tendrils, but sand tendrils and lava tendrils and ice tendrils and fire tendrils, I'm low key obsessed with this creativity of tendrils
I have discovered the reason for the order of the prison breaks, as a earth bender Ghazan would easily bend the stone walls of the volcano, and Ming Hua could easily use the ice of the tundra
Notice how avatars have trouble mastering the bending element of their past previous life. One of Aang's biggest fear was fire bending although he was Roku a fire bender and Korra as a child had picked up every element but air. I wonder if this theory goes for all the previous avatars.
This may be a stretch but my theory is that Ming Hua is the secret sibling of Tarlock and Oonalock(spelling!?) Since waterbenders are able to tell how people are internally (katara sensing a airbender in pema and katara examining korra's insides) the doctors were able to tell that the baby had no arms. The parents didn't want this to be public, so they raised her in secret and taught Minh Hua a way to waterbend with no arms, which Tarlock picked up on( zaheer fighting seen) Ming Hua was angry when she grew up and ran away. Outraged by her parents not thinking she was worthy (like toph she was secret because of her disability), she joined the red lotus to take out world leaders, like her parents (chief and chiefs wife).
When Zaheer told them that he had been freed of earthly attachments after the death of P'li he basically told them that he didn't care about them... Which considering that following him/his ideologies caused Ghazan and Ming Hua to die seems pretty sad

This was less a video on the life of this character and more of just a summary of her appearances in the show. Anyone with a half decent memory who watched this season of Korra could of done this. Why wasn't any more backstory provided? What was she like in her formative years? What lead her to try and kidnap Korra 13 years prior to the show?
Umm Pabu us the one who discovered that Korra was being captured just because he is an animal doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the credit for what he did

@Jay katara and zuko were not weak. Like toph said, "at times you gotta leave it for the kids". Even in atla, toph was that way. We don't know about how Sokka lived his life so we can't assume if or why he didn't have kids. The main characters all have their personalities and it's not the same as the old gaang. Katara and korra have different personalities. Korra is too head strong and stubborn while katara is mostly caring. Sokka is a strategist, comic relief and pessimistic while bolin is a powerful earthbender, a comic relief and an optimist. Mako is a very cool person unlike zuko who is a determined and stubborn person. Asami is a strategist and a very capable hands m to hand fighter which of course is similar to azula but unlike azula, she went against her father and choose to do good. She doesn't use fear to control people.

When they show the clip of Ming Hua going to free P’li all the guard got to do was take out his water and then he just got knocked out by her water arms. Okay my opinion- I loved ming hua even she was evil I loved how skilled she is in bending and not letting her disability stop her

Is it just me or are the guards keeping in the dangerous and powerful benders in their prisons terrible benders? When they show the clip of Ming Hua going to free P’li all the guard got to do was take out his water and then he just got knocked out by her water arms. You’d think they would hire powerful benders to guard powerful prisoners, right? I just don’t get it 😂

I went through the entire Legend Of Korra without realizing that Ming-Hua didn’t have arms.
I loved to see Ming hua water bend without arms, who needs them when you can use your bending to replace them, I thought it was cool.
