Thanks so much for your insightful video! Though i do gotta say, i HATE it when youtube pulls that ****!! I hope it gets resolved and everything is okay for you! I moved in early this year on the east end and mortgage payments, etc has been very extra to say the least 😅. I find even couple years ago, (i always reference to this when talking about buying or renting) i was able to help people get a place- 1 bedroom suite by themselves in downtown for rent around 1700 dollars per month but nowadays, 2600 dollars. So rent used to be a great idea for people who may need a few years to save up, etc. However, now- you can barely save money while renting and buying a property is insanely expensive! So many feel doomed either way! It's a tough market but it just boils down to what you believe the most and what you can afford!

May I ask if the renter should buy the home insurance or the landlord will provided?
Thanks! Usually the tenant has to buy the home insurance themselves, since it protects them (the tenant's loss, liability, etc.)

If I may chip in here,
if you were still curious- renter pays for the tenant insurance that covers their unit, and the landlord pays for the landlord insurance which is for more protection!

I've never been to Oshawa before, but housing seems to be slightly more affordable than in Toronto, from what I've seen!
Which are the best websites to look for rental?
I'm not sure if there's a 'best'. To increase the odds of finding something suitable, it's best to diversify your search across multiple platforms, including fb, google, padmapper, real estate agent sites, sites like zolo, the canadian home, housesigma, etc. Good luck!

Home prices in Canada is so high because mainly the realtors and new home builders .
realty firms drive them up for more profits. Realtor greed has made life difficult for most Canadians.
