Okay, HOW is that hoop skirt hidden so well? I get how the dress itself works but how did they fold up the crinoline like that? It’s so well hidden under everything that I have no inkling of how they did it.
The hoops are bent at the bottom of the green overskirt and help make the big pock that the other petticoat is in as well. The green bit has a pocket in it that the overskirt comes up and over it all while pulling itself and the brown + bodice peices up & under everything. These can be quickly removed when she's briefly off stage before her ball entrance during a normal show (essentially held at waist with a few clips between the petticoat and overskirt). The peices are all held together with string. Everything is in halves and quarters with no finished seams.
@@courtneyernste4341 I thought so at first too but then I realized that the hoop skirt is actually underneath the brown underskirt layer and I'm so lost! I did notice that in the bodice she pulled a string out that was holding the bodice together, perhaps that was also keeping the hoop skirt folded???
I love Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella it's the greatest

I was thinking the same thing and I kept watching over it and I see it falling down but like HOW?!?

May I use a clip from this for my TV Broadcasting class (with credit of course)?
I'm not the owner, use it if you need it👍🏼
Right before 10 Minutes ago, there's a girl in the original blue Cinderella dress.
Actually the Cinderella dress in the disney version was silver
I think it was white just the lights made it look blue
I did read somewhere that the costume designer took inspiration from the disney princesses for colour etc
The Prince is Broadway Tootsie guy....
and Hans from Frozen
