    You can only stockpile so many before it takes up your storage at your camp. I tried that before didn’t leave me no room for anything else. It’s just best to do eviction notice you can get massive loads of legendary armor and weapons that if you know how to server hop you can get eviction notice a lot

      Yes and no, I have a separate account ...5 characters weapon weight armor and weight perks? I can store ALOT of stuff.

    If this is going to be the new version of the Radium Rifle crap we had to deal with until they fixed it, people are gonna be PISSED!
    Scrapping several HUNDREDS of valuable weapons and STILL not unlocking the plans is gonna backfire and players are gonna Rage Quit if that happens!
    If we were to say want 30 Legendary effects, between all 3 Stars and 5 Weapons and Armor, we would potentially have to Scrap 9000….I repeat NINE THOUSAND items. And it could very well be more if you want to run with multiple versions of each weapon or armor.
    The more I hear about this, the more I become discouraged. Until I hear a lot more on the odds and statistics telling me it’s not as bad as I fear, I’m not getting my hopes up!

      I would argue the plans SHOULD be rare but mabye up the chance on the mods themselves then it isnt really as much of an issue.

      Damn near impossible? Hard pass
      For example. I’ve grinded the hell out of Fasnacht for all 4+ years it’s been out and I only have 7 out of the 21 Rare mask! No duplicates. Just one of each of the 7. I understand there’s a such thing as “Rare”, but the RNG in this game is closer to a “middle finger” to the players that log in everyday and grind.

      I got 18 rare mask drops from fasnact ...and I was away the 2nd week

      @@DadPlaysStuff that’s my point. I’ve done EVERY Fasnacht over the last 4 years, 50 times every time it’s active and I only just now got my 5th-7th mask. Thats 3 this go around, only 4 of them from the prior events over FOUR years. I understand that games need to make things fairly difficult to earn, but sometimes it horrendous!!

    I've been hoarding bloody and unyielding "I might use this someday" items for years... I'll continue the process. We have no clue what the new system, when it comes out, will be. I have suspicions that it will be drastically reduced from what is currently on PTS. I saw people testing out all sorts of impossible effects, including some things on crossbows that got thanos-snapped with the legacy delete. Ideally, they will leave it fairly open so we can continue to, as example, put all stats on all sorts of gear for build diversity, but they won't let us make explosive energy guns again.
    I don't really have an issue with the prices for things, or even how rare these modules are to unlock or the plans are to learn. The best way to handle this (as it sits now) is to take a near perfect item and fix it. How many "perfect" two stars have you had drop? How many have you scriped because you had a X/25/15r or whatever that you could now toss AA/Bloody/Vampire on? We're going to be running a lot of Eviction notices, a lot of expeditions, a lot of mass-legendary farms, to get bulk items to scrap for dust and modules. (or however the system ends up).
    Frankly, I would not be shocked, at all, if they completely kill the "craft legendary effects" system completely, because eventually we WILL get them all and it will kill the need to grind, at all, which will damage player retention. I could see, easily, it being a special vendor with a random module you could buy, alongside a very low drop chance. The enclave plasma grind, writ large.
    Ideally, if the prices they have here for module attachment stay what they are, they will make legendary modules sit in the junk stash like they did for, say, gunpowder, due to the increased carry weight requirements from the increased volume needed, or adjust the weight, something.

    I will say this. I already have a Mule character that I will be overloading with Legendaries, but I have an unused character that I had decided to make a Ghoul build. Now I’m just going to overload that one as well.

    Would love to see fixed-legendary weapons (like Anchorage Ace or Zweihander) be able to have their legendary effects changed too

      Everyone would but zweihander with a different first star is too strong. And anchorage ace being a true silent wep ...Well it would be broken as fook

      true dat but if it's gonna be easy to mod a Fixer to be broken it can't hurt to open up some other weapon choices and put them on a similar playing field. With craftable legendary mods I just see the fixed legendary weapons getting left behind

    Very excited I'll be able to do something with all my extra scrip legendaries instead of just dropping them for new players or in the cash register at Whitespring Mall. Gotta find some new good things to drop for newbies though!

      The way i look at it ... once you have learned a prefix like explosive for example ... there is no need to specifically scrap explosive weapons anymore and thus you can drop em xD till then im scrapping every bit of dogshit with an effect i want on it xD

    I just go to Westek when i need to max out my daily scrip fast.. The Super mutants often drop legendaries and the continuous respawning makes not just for a nice XP farm but also for a scrip farm. And now with this new legendary system, you can get your legendary weapon drops for scrapping from Westek besides the events.

    I just hate that they're continually making weapons and armour character locked.
    I have 10 playable characters that are all built and spec'd differently and it frustrates me that i have things perfect for one that can't be dropped from another.

      How easy do you want it? This whining among players are starting to get ridiculous. This update will make endgame boring as shit. Start to play, grind a month, have everything, Bye Bye 76. Game destroyed. The grinders wont stay, the casuals without 1st will.

      @Slabbedask actually I'd prefer if it was harder.
      I enjoyed the challenge of the early days when if you left the forrest region early you got messed up.
      The 400 pound stash weight limit.
      I would rather it was more survival based, there's not so many survival games on ps5 as on pc.
      But as you say, all the crying about how hard it is has brought in the ammo stash, the scap box and the 1200 pound weight stash.
      The only thing I want is to be able to drop weapons and armour.
      That's it.

    Currently i think its a solid start.
    The numbers and chances feel a liitke low in comparision to the cost of modules.
    Tbh given how well it seemed, well smooth.
    Id be happy to have it is, put into game.
    Still my feeling is that again they could improve the numbers in players favour.
    On mutants i generally take it over any others unless i have a better bloody. I do think it could use a raise of the cap on mutation from 5 though.

    What I wish would happen, or at least one of the things that i really wish would happen is when you sell something you can sell it for caps, gold, scrip, stamps. then you can sell your mods or whatever you want really with whatever currency you want. I think this is going to come out a lot sooner and definitely before the ghoul character system.

    Cores should become scrapable for particles. Since they were a requirement before for crafting, and are being replaced by a new requirement, then make them scrapable

    F76 needs to be careful with the rarity of this, i feel with this crafting system many including myself would rather spend my hours grinding in other games to craft perfect meta gear like Path of Exile for me than F76 which was more causal friendly. Rolling system wasnt that bad to me

    Id be so happy if cores are gone I have currently 800 modules (I had 400 before picks and only did the run once to test it out ) now I can finally just keep rolling things an I already got a mule with 6000 scrip so particals here I come

    I just think they’re over complicating this too much. I’m ALL FOR being able to actually craft the gear you want without mercilessly banging your head on the walls of the rusty pick.
    But what would be so bad about making the first random roll standard cost, then taking something like 40-50 modules/ cores to reroll the second effect and 60-75 to reroll the third but keep it random.
    Still plenty grindy and expensive, but doesn’t completely reinvent the wheel.

    Bethesda has two goals. The first is play time. A live service game needs it's players to always be online to be considered successful. (That's why the developers do not punish AFK). The second thing that they want is to push people to sign up for Fallout 1st. The primary Fallout 1st advantage is weight reduction. IMO Bethesda is going to make the new legendary crafting system as grindy as possible. They will also make the components as heavy as possible.

      In theory yes, but for newer players it could be a bigger hurdle, for anyone with a stockpile of stuff pre patch it shouldn't be a problem.

      Everything luck effects is to do with amounts of items you find in boxes and Crit it wont give you a better chance for unlocks.

    It needs 2 change.Because at the moment it's a right con.Scrapping all those legendarys in the hope u get a legendary effect or effects? Knowing Bethesda the drop rates r so low it's gonna take u years 2 learn them all?

    The stash size really needs to be addressed now, the amount of custom crafted legendaries is going to be a problem. Players are going to be more incentivized to keep more gear now.

    Why don't they just let us randomly reroll each legendary perk? I feel it would be the simplest and most user friendly. Instead of the current having to reroll all 3 stars, let plus pick the ones we wanna change. And keep.it tradeable. Smh.

    They need to get rid of 75% of the legendary catagories, hunters, ghoul slayers, exterminators, chameleon, auto stim, on and on. Theres only about 3 or 4 people want so just make modules cheaper and forget this nonsense cause if it takes a month to "create" a perfect piece thats way to long and just going to have a negative effect

    So they've brought back the legacy weapons that we were all happy to see binned? This game is already stupidly easy, now we will all have perfect armour to make us invincible and OP weapons that can one shot anything in the game... it's like taking up kickboxing, but only fighting six year olds

      "No reason to go to events in the end" there's already no reason to go to them as an end game player. We go to them for F u N. What we need is CONTENT to ACCOMMODATE the already overpowered builds we have.
      It will be a great day in Appalachia when we have a reason to want to actually roll gear that would otherwise take years with abysmal shit rng that you naively praise as "enjoyable". Arctic marine armor no one uses? Botsmith armor no one uses? The whole reason everyone uses the service armor is because it's the easiest to craft. . Hence why EVERYONE looks the same who's not wearing an outfit or power armor.
      Don't worry, the update isn't going anywhere. Huzzah

      Nah you're coping hard, when people KNOWN for being grind hogs say it's too much, IT'S TOO MUCH.
      A damned year long journey to get the right setup on a single weapon all the while normal people get their stash boxes killed isn't the right way to continue a grind.

      @@DadPlaysStuff What is confusing you? I have 10 different weapon types in my load out. The last weapon I mistakenly got attached to was the shredder that B ruined by adding massive AP drain. Now the railway is going to be ruined in the name of reballancing something. I cant imagine the cremator will be alliwed to function this well much longer. We wont even talk about the L word. Now it sounds like they might come back. I am bonding with the weapons that get no love in hopes B will leave them alone. Burning Love that is buth burning and what flavor of arrow I want to use and the LMGs that are suddenly usable with the recoil fix.

    I find this to be a waste of effort and will have a higher chance of pushing players away. We have seen how much our player base complains and how Bethesda will make adjustments to pacify them, which means the chance ratios will probably be tweaked to accommodate these whiners.

    What they should have done is just decreased the price of modules from 50 down to 10 or maybe even 5 and all forget all this nonsense which won't work and will be buggy as hell, instead they create this crap that will be bugged and have to be shut down a month into it like always.
    Games to old to increase the costs of anything, all thier gonna do is make people quit playing so personally I hope none of this comes to light. It sounds like more of a mess than anything else

      @@DadPlaysStuffwell first they removed our legacy's now with this update it looks like we can recreate them with this update + the weapon we will mod will be bound to the character at the same time killing a huge chunk from the trading market for weapons i personally want this update so i can make some crazy weapons

      That's not how it works you CAN mod things to have explosive but as of yet anything that would be considered a legacy it will not work on. I'm assuming they won't turn that on until they work like normal weapons do .....so no your not getting legacies back.

    I love the system we have now, it keeps the excitement. To just be able to make what you want is the same as just remove all legendary effects if you ask me. This is going to be boring as shit.
