Actually if you were to faint a Legendary Pokemon in the wormholes, you can still encounter it. You just have to go into their respective color wormhole again and their chances still exist. The legendaries are only permanently gone once you catch them.

One thing about Wimpod: Simple Beam! It swaps its Ability from Wimp Out to Simple! There are other Ability changing moves as well, as well as the Mummy Ability, but that's the first that came to mind, mostly cuz I have a Beheeyem with Simple Beam, so... Also, I don't mean to brag, but I've already done Crabrawler on Sun, jus to see if it could be done! Also, I honestly thought that Type: Null was Shiny Locked! I must remember that for my Eviolite Combo... And don't forget your Synchronise Pokémon if you want specific Natures! I've already made that mistake...

I just picked up the game and you probably already got the answers you need. The offer to take Poipole with you can be furloughed and you can return to Ultra Megalopolis (with a Timid Pokemon that has Synchronize for it's ability to make it easier) and begin your hunt for the shiny Poipole.

Excalibur 493 Since many people looked over the ditto five, I doubt it. It was an optional side quest, so people that didn't know wouldn't get the shiny. I don't think it would devalue it much. Also, ditto is a hard shiny to get, so this would be a good decision in my opinion.

Here's the problem with the Ash Hat Pikachu.... That Pikachu doesn't show up as a Shiny, the only thing it does is sparkle when coming out of the Pokeball. So it's likely an oversight by the devs. Which has the risk of being patched out, or not allowed to go to Gen 8 when that time comes. It's almost a glitch Pokemon in a sense.
Well, perhaps glitch isn't completely the right word. But, Missingno. was a placeholder Pokemon. And, this shiny I feel is a placeholder shiny, so that it doesn't cause the game to go unstable. But, like Missingno., players weren't meant to have one in their game.

There is a glitch for the ditto chef where if you position yourself correctly, after defeating it, the real chef will run against you for about 30 seconds. Then the game will fix.

For Stakataka/Blacephalon, it's a lot faster if you just SR. The beast aura animation + running away from it eats more time. But, if you want to give your shoulder buttons some break, then REs are okay. Optimally, you'll get more encounters in the long run if you just SR. Also, repel trick is a must with SR'ing while a lvl 56-60 pokemon in front of your party to make things faster.
SR is faster, but you also have to aware of Blacephalons move, dont want it to kill itself, so I used a roto catch and chucked a beast ball, its such a nice shiny.
Yeah, and no worries. I think it's smart enough to not use mind blown when it's half hp. And, if you're interested, I have a perfect setup to hunt this thing, so there'll be no opportunity to use mind blown consecutively, it won't kill itself, and there will be no problems with PPs. I have it on my channel, just look for the latest blacephalon video.

The first ever wimpod i saw was shiny. At that point i didnt even know what a shiny was and i also didnt know the normal wimpod colors. So i went for about a year or two and only then i noticed that it was shiny lol

For anyone struggling trying to get shiny wimpod, have a pokemon with skill swap so it cant flee and you can start and SOS chain, and a another pokemon with false swipe and skill swap. This ensures that if you do find the shiny wimpod, you can swap abilities and take it to 1 hp before trying to catch it

i recently started hunting the Ditto Five because I remembered this video randomly. I caught the first one already because I'd been too impatient to Shiny hunt (that was maybe two or three years ago before I really did a lot of Shiny hunts), but so far I've hunted three of the remaining four, and all of them were under odds, which is nuts. I'm hoping to do the Poipole hunt when I eventually get Ultra Moon (I'd rather not reset my current Ultra Sun), and I'll absolutely have to try hunting Type: null at some point too!

Hugo Bertoche that is not true. Killing all the legendary especially is actually a strategy to find more wormhole shinies by removing the legendaries. As the legendary holes have a higher shiny chance if they're not legendary. (All are killed)

I'm so happy with my Shiny Surfing Timid Pikachu. It's now an Alolan Raichu now, since it's special attack is higher than that of Kanto Raichu. Psychic, Thunderbolt, Surft, this dude just covers so much.
I actually accidentally did the Crabrawler one back in Sun and Moon when I was soft resetting at a berry pile to get some specific berries. Instead I got a Shiny lol
Incase you wanted to progress through the postgame first and then hunt shiny Stakataka/Blacephelon later you can actually run away from both of the ones that you're forced to encounter and the story will progress. Then whenever you're ready to hunt come back to the same route where you first encountered them and you can SR (or RE) for them! This apparently also works if you faint them during your forced encounters but I personally can only confirm that the run away method works as that's what I did.
I wouldn't really recommend hunting gift Pokemon that are also available through other methods (like Aerodactyl and Porygon), because they're forced full-odds hunts. Of course this isn't much of a problem to you, but to other people it may seem kinda stupid to hunt them using this method.

Ultra Wormhole shinies, I've gotten Mewtwo on there first, which was my first legendary hunt and I got it at like 250-ish, and then Xerneas at like 70-ish! Took forever to find them, but those were so memorable despite how short they were, I thought they'd be good practice for Celebi (which was only 1101?? my luck with those was wild), and they're so very worth doing :D Not sure what I wanna go for next yet, maybe Poipole...
You mentioned the ambush encounters, but in USUM (and maybe SM too) its possible to get 2 ambush encounters in the Haina Desert one after another. Best way to look for Trapinch!

I didn't see it in the top comments so In case people wanna know. For Type Null, if you completely fill all your Boxes and Team then the NPC tells you to see her later to get it. Though you will have to beat Rainbow Rocket before she shows up again to give you Type Null This immensely helps with shiny hunting it. Though still even with Shiny Charm its full odds
For the ultra beast that has a very long cutscene i guess you are specifically talking about Kartana, which has a very long cutscene yeah, but in an other way, that cutscene is just freaking cool and some hunters just wanna watch it every time they soft reset it. I guess. Anyways very cool vidéo.

Actually, you can kill or run away from a legendary and find it back. I killed four Yveltal's looking for a shiny Swellow.

The first ever wimpod i saw was shiny. At that point i didnt even know what a shiny was and i also didnt know the normal wimpod colors. So i went for about a year or two and only then i noticed that it was shiny lol

For anyone struggling trying to get shiny wimpod, have a pokemon with skill swap so it cant flee and you can start and SOS chain, and a another pokemon with false swipe and skill swap. This ensures that if you do find the shiny wimpod, you can swap abilities and take it to 1 hp before trying to catch it
I got the Shiny Type null in Ultra moon but I went through the cutscene.

i recently started hunting the Ditto Five because I remembered this video randomly. I caught the first one already because I'd been too impatient to Shiny hunt (that was maybe two or three years ago before I really did a lot of Shiny hunts), but so far I've hunted three of the remaining four, and all of them were under odds, which is nuts. I'm hoping to do the Poipole hunt when I eventually get Ultra Moon (I'd rather not reset my current Ultra Sun), and I'll absolutely have to try hunting Type: null at some point too!

Hey man, nice vid! Although you can kill the legendary pokemon and return to the ultra wormhole later, I'm almost 100% sure about that, read in some places, and I have already killed 'em sometimes. I mean, when you kill it, you will need to travel along years again, and then you'll be able to find it! Thanks a lot!
Hugo Bertoche that is not true. Killing all the legendary especially is actually a strategy to find more wormhole shinies by removing the legendaries. As the legendary holes have a higher shiny chance if they're not legendary. (All are killed)

Legendaries can be knocked out and they will reappear I've tested it

I'm so happy with my Shiny Surfing Timid Pikachu. It's now an Alolan Raichu now, since it's special attack is higher than that of Kanto Raichu. Psychic, Thunderbolt, Surft, this dude just covers so much.
I actually accidentally did the Crabrawler one back in Sun and Moon when I was soft resetting at a berry pile to get some specific berries. Instead I got a Shiny lol
Incase you wanted to progress through the postgame first and then hunt shiny Stakataka/Blacephelon later you can actually run away from both of the ones that you're forced to encounter and the story will progress. Then whenever you're ready to hunt come back to the same route where you first encountered them and you can SR (or RE) for them! This apparently also works if you faint them during your forced encounters but I personally can only confirm that the run away method works as that's what I did.

I wouldn't really recommend hunting gift Pokemon that are also available through other methods (like Aerodactyl and Porygon), because they're forced full-odds hunts. Of course this isn't much of a problem to you, but to other people it may seem kinda stupid to hunt them using this method.

it's probably faster to SR for aerodactyl because its egg cycle is 8,960 steps

Ultra Wormhole shinies, I've gotten Mewtwo on there first, which was my first legendary hunt and I got it at like 250-ish, and then Xerneas at like 70-ish! Took forever to find them, but those were so memorable despite how short they were, I thought they'd be good practice for Celebi (which was only 1101?? my luck with those was wild), and they're so very worth doing :D Not sure what I wanna go for next yet, maybe Poipole...

You mentioned the ambush encounters, but in USUM (and maybe SM too) its possible to get 2 ambush encounters in the Haina Desert one after another. Best way to look for Trapinch!

For Type Null, if you completely fill all your Boxes and Team then the NPC tells you to see her later to get it. Though you will have to beat Rainbow Rocket before she shows up again to give you Type Null
This immensely helps with shiny hunting it.
Though still even with Shiny Charm its full odds
