    My Dad worked at O G Barnards in Stowmarket, Suffolk in the 60's & they had a Diamond T wrecker!

    this brings back memories, my dad used to drive for Wynns, those were the days when you had to know how to drive,

    I used to have all of the episodes on VHS, but the tape snapped, now I remember, there was also a show called classic plant which examined the history of earthmoving equipment and the like. Those were the days.

    Classic Trucks was a documentary series broadcast on Channel 4 in 1995, looking into the history of commercial vehicles. John Peel was the narrator of the series.

    You are correct, this clip and "Pickfords Heavy Haulage" was screened as "Classic Trucks"- sadly I only caught one episode

    I think this is from the old series "Classic Trucks" episode 6,"monsters" which begins with a Cat 789 then moves onto heavy haulage. I am pretty sure that is where this is from but can't find the series anywhere. A Pickfords clip elsewhere is also from the same episode too. This program was on in the 90's.

    Hi Ken, I had the pleasure to know one of the Wynne's drivers Ian Trick from Newport.
    He was totally Prod of working for Wynnes. Did you know him? Also I believe Steve Roberts owns on of the Diamond T's

    just had to watch this again.I no some of the ex Wynns Scammel contrators and the super Pacific go to the GDSF but is there anyother events before that they can be seen at

    I think there were only 6 episodes. I remember one with an old tar machine and another with farm machinery - I think I will post a clip!

    do you no how many episodes there was? I was sorting out my massive vhs collection and only found one episode which i hadent realised i still had-the american truck one.there was a plant series aswell.shame these aintout on dvd
