First, here is hoping you recover quickly from your surgery. Second, these instructional videos are simply great for so much of us just learning the Genos. Yamaha should be paying you for this. Much more detail than anything Yamaha provides. For all your efforts, I really hope it helps sell you lots of pianos(and/or Genos). You are doing us Genos owners, a really great service.
I am getting a Genos next month and I wonder if you could answer a question for me please? At present I have been composing music on a very outdated PSR2000 Yamaha keyboard, and have many music MIDI files which I have saved from this keyboard. Would you know if I could save these MIDI files to USB and tranfer them to the Genos so I can mess around with changing instruments etc, or would the MIDI files created on my old PSR2000 be too outdated to be recognised by the Genos?
Hope you can help. In genos step record, what do the individual column numbers represent? I know the first few deal with bar, measure, note type etc, but stumped on last two. 3rd before last I assume is velocity but what are the remaining two?
I'm glad that you're feeling better Mike. You sounded quite good with this.I'd have probably taken a couple more days to heal before doing something like this. For all I know, I'd probably been a little loopy. Thanks for everything Mike. Take it "Nice N Easy" this week. The song was well done and I learned a little bit.
Just can"t keep you down - and I am very thankful as you seem to read my mind. Recordind was a big question and you make it easy. Please keep up with teaching things (My mind is wishing Mike would give up some secrets on Playlist). I hope you recover quick and completely. You are the Master! Your Nashville friend Les
Hi Mike, thanks for your wonderfully explicit sessions, I have really enjoyed them! Can you please let me know, is there a way to edit a voice with specific velocity range on the Genos, such as to only come on when playing hard (i.e. 90-127)? Classic use case: tympani with symphonic sets.
Thanks Mike, you explain things perfectly. It’s good to see you back on deck and I trust that you will continue to improve after the surgery. It must feel strange getting used to the new mouth feel. Cheers Joe
