This is hands down the best wolf cut video I've watched. I'm a student & this is the perfect balance between being understandable yet still obviously being a professional cut. I love your teaching style. I've watched this video countless times in the last year & shared it with others. Thank you for such a helpful video!!
The cut and exact look I have been searching for that is ME- and has been eluding me for as long as I can remember..and I'm 61! This is what I MUST have! I don't fuss with my hair much, don't like to,never have.Ive been a horticulturist and worked with plants my whole life, indoors and outside...I love the idea of just washing and scrunching it and then GO! Especially now that I'm older, and my long (mid back ) hair is well suited and thick ,and it is perfect for my head and face shape! I can't thank you enough! I don't have the nerve to cut myself ,but I WILL find someone to watch this video and do it for me! I remember years ago seeing Meg Ryan with a sort of shorter version of this cut and loving the look of it on her...think it may have been in ""City of Angels" with Nic Cage..but she always looked so wonderful and it seems the more tousled and messy it looks the better it looks! I am stoked, and do think my really thick wavy dishwater/golden/ash blonde natural hair will be just exactly suited! God bless you! It doesn't seem to be an overly complicated cut, although I'm no stylist ,but even I could follow you and the pattern/ cut logic ..you are a legend! Thank you! It is a flattering and feminine style and I can hardly wait,aI think I might leave a bit more length for my version !
I'm 100% with you.. me too been searching and asking my hairdressers who say its not do-able I'm wanting a short hair cut on long hair it won't work... but it so fking does..it's exactly how I've explained it... I'm going to take this with me next time..lol love it.. ❤
Ah, finally. I've always wanted to see a good way to make it shorter on top and have it blended with longer ends. Most of the easy hack methods for the shags and wolf cuts don't have the shorter layers on top for long hair when preserving the length.
There are so many different transient techniques for the wolf cut out there...razor , ponytails, slide cutting, parallel point cutting etc. This by far is my favorite! Modern classic cutting with a slight disconnection. Thank you!
WOW WOW !!!! Now , THIS is the best shaped wolfcut yet!!! I am not a hairdresser and this is truly an amazing style and I would love to do this on myself....... Although, I'm not sure if I can pull off this technical cut myself... Is there an easier way to get the just the foundation of this style with the pigtail method? xx
@@cyberpunk6142 I think the easier version would be the shorter wolf cut video he did. Now named Squid Game... That would be pretty easy to do on your own. Just take your time and get good scissors.
Love this cut/style! Best wash & go style ever.. Back in my day we called this cut a shag cut.. very popular in the 70's & 80's. Came in all Lengths .. it's blending multiple layers.
I remember more male musicians having this almost exact cut, the top was higher (actually the whole thing was bigger, so was mine and I am female. I cut my own until I discovered the Chelsea!!)
I am so in awe imagine how many people this cut could look amazing on, the yin and the yang, the length and the short lines at the same time, the round lines and the strength of showing off the bone structure, what I beautiful cut!! This cut really seems to do what a haircut is suppose to do, flatter the person!!
I've cut my two sons' short hair all their lives. I've gotten better over time, thanks to experience and haircut tutorial videos. :) My youngest son let his fade-cut hairstyle grow wayyy out during quarantine. Using this tutorial, I've just cut long hair into layers for the first time. Wow! It looks pretty great. Thank you.
I've learned how to do my own shag cuts thanks to the stupid pandemic, and found out I really enjoy cutting my own hair and learning new cuts. This is hands-down one of the best tutorials I ever seen, and I'm trying it today! My hair is already a shag of sorts, so there will be some fudging here and there to "wolf" it properly, but this cut is exactly what I want for my thick, curly hair. Thank you so much for sharing!
Now, all you have to do is to get your stylist to look at the video. Some are too proud and wouldn't even bother. I love this cut, it would look perfect on me. My hair is long and my facial structure is perfect for this cut. Love it!!!! ❤
OMG this is literally my first time cutting my hair and it turned out SOO GOOD. ofcourse there are a few mistakes in the way i cut it but it the haircut looks so gorgeousss. would for sure come back here again after my hair grows out of shape!!!
I 💕 ❤️ 💗 it! I was always told this was a shag…no wonder the hairstylists never cut it right and looked more like a stupid mullet. I explained what I wanted but it felt like they were ruining my hair intentionally. Probably just bad stylists…there are a lot of them out there. I’ve done this cut before and it isn’t difficult, and I’m not a stylist, but I can’t cut my own hair because I get discombobulated in the mirror…I never knew there was a shortcut though. I always started from the front and cut and layered tediously piece by piece until it was all even. It could take me over an hour. I felt more like an artist on canvas without Bob Ross tips and tricks. Thank you again for a smarter not harder way. I wasn’t making my child a guinea pig to try any shortcuts on my own.
I have long straight hair no layers barely and now this cut wants to make me go exactly like this !!! Beautiful amazing talented man, love this haircut💜💜💜
I've been asking for this kinda style for years to keep being told by my hairdressers I don't need layers..I so fking do ❤ this is how I've tried to explain it to them.. arghh
Hi Paul, love the video! This is a proper guide for sure. Before finding this video I tried to somewhat cut my hair like this without losing much length and short bangs - didn't work out that well. After seeing this video I will surely see the results that I have wanted for a while now. Also a small sidenote, a microphone you can clip to your shirt would elevate your sound quality!
Thank you so much for watching, I have a wireless microphone, but for ease just use my shotgun. I'm filming the red hairstyle today from squid game at the end so I'll use them today
Thanks a lot, I tried this cut today on my adult and brave daughter and it went great (I'm not a hairdresser). But it would be better if the hair on the model was dark on the white background or vice versa.
I absolutely LOVE how short the top layers are and how they blend with the rest of the hair!! How do I communicate that to a hairdresser? The last few times I have gone, I don’t feel like they believe me when I say HOW layered and shaggy I want the cut to be
They don’t get it, if I was a hair stylist I’d want to keep up with the latest trend and use more modern techniques, I’d watch this man. He’s a master of hair styling, I love this cut. Wish he was my stylist.

This is my first time watching any of your videos, and yeah, some comments were a bit harsh but not wrong, either. I think the best bit of criticism to implement was to use a backdrop that sharply contrasts the model's hair. And while you aren't the best window and my volume was turned way down (because I Iove to live my life with as much difficulty as possible, I guess, lol) you explained everything very clearly with your body language and executed it beautifully. Sometimes they are reused to cut again, braid, try out other hairstyles or even for dying it.. well thats what we did at the hairsalon
