Pete is the man. And this amp is an embodiment of him. Great sounds from a great guitarist who also happens to be an awesome guy. Much success to you, Pete.
The PT 100 sounds amazing, and I’m loving Pete Thorn’s presentation! The only problem is that this video was so inspiring that I kept playing guitar and had to rewind the video about 15 times. Well done. Get Pete Thorn a raise!
I haven't missed a Pete Thorn video in 12 years and I still never knew the PT 100 had that many """"features""""". I have to say it's the very best overall amp I have ever seen. Over the years what you hear on a Pete Thorn demo you can bank on with your life!!! I'm going to now look at the specs on the PT-15 . Killer Video Pete!! Tobi rules tee heeeeeee
This dude is the most under rated Canadian slinging Axe ever. If you are an Eddy die hard this guy's originality fills the gaps nobody ever will or could. His solemn personality and choice of expression says I am in a good place of heart and mind. Cheers Pete Thorn!
Great to see Pete doing a new video for this amazing amp. I have a PT-100 and absolutely love it. There is not a bad sound in this amp. Channel 2 has so much gain variation that you can basically get it to sound like JMP all the way to higher gain Marshalls. You will never need a gain pedal with this amp unless you want one. One thing I really love about this amp is the amp sounds great even at quieter volumes. Master volume retains amps tone when turned down. I use the head with the matching PT 2x12 cab which has 75 Creambacks and it sounds like you are using a 4x12. Worth every penny 🔥🔥🔥
God I hope Guitar Center starts selling Suhr guitars and products!!! Please include quality high end gear!!!! Not all of us are into 600$ guitars!!!!!!
Hi! If there's a control in the back- it's always for a reason, usually tonal- like, John won't want to run long wire runs or traces all the way to the front, for a certain reason pertaining to what the control does. The controls on the back such as feedback and depth are usually set and forget, I find. Hope that explains!
@@PeteThorn thanks for the explanation. I find myself often wanting to compare the effects of feedback and presence with those of the front panel controls on mine, hence the comment, but if it would have an impact on tone to move them to the front then fair enough. Great demo btw.
What do you think of the Suhr PT100? Let us know below! 👇
I think I’d love to have one. Pete’s tone is always great. I think Ian Thornley uses one also and he always has great tone as well.
makes me want to skydive into his parking lot in elsinore.
Has the PT100se changed it's circuit or is it the same?

I’ve owned one for 4 years. It’s the best amp I’ve owned in 44+ years of guitar playing.
Man crush for Pete Thorn...humble,articulate, knowledgeable and a hell of guitar player!
Hell of a nice guy too, if you get the chance to meet him.
So sick seeing him get more and more exposure. Such an awesome dude and helluva player
You were raised by a single mother weren't you?
Thanks so much!
Agreed I have that amp and the red standard sig he used in the vid
Such killer gear
One of my favorite players out there. Pete is a monster player

My main amp since 2018. Always sounds great, no other amp has come close for me.
New Suhr gear at Guitar Center is a god send.

Pete rules. Glad to hear him play A’lavenir! Love that tune.
Great job Pete. That amp sounds really good.
Great amp, great player, genuinely nice person. I've heard Pete playing the amp up close at the Classic Rock Show. It's an awesome thing.
Thank you!
Sounds great. Pete killed it again
One of the best modern amp ever made ! 🤘
Those cleans were giving me Ty Tabor from King’s X vibes, sure enough Pete mentions them as an influence. Gotta love King’s X!!!
Pete, I think may be the Best demo of the PT100 to date... Really great demo of all 3 channels...well done Sir! 😎
Thanks!!

Excellent as always. Love my PT100.
I think the PT100 is the most versatile amp I have ever heard. I wish I had the back for it, I just have my lunchbox heads now!
This dude is the most under rated Canadian slinging Axe ever. If you are an Eddy die hard this guy's originality fills the gaps nobody ever will or could. His solemn personality and choice of expression says I am in a good place of heart and mind. Cheers Pete Thorn!
God the amp still sounds amazing!!
i think the preamp section of this amp was derived from CAE 3+
Woah, is Guitar Center going to carry Suhr guitars now as well?
Awesome sounding amp!
A great modern tube amp with a vintage heart , Well Done> @Pete Thorn 👋

I know it's just a slight tweak from the previous version, but I like the updated look of the latest PT-100
Pete, voce é um guitarrista incrível!
Eu te admiro muito como ser humano e pela sua habilidade única na guitarra.👏🏻🙏🏻🎸
Thanks so much!
Love Pete. Dude always sounds good.
Also, way to wave the King’s X banner. It’s embarrassing that those guys never got huge.
One of my favorites!!!
THAT PT100 IS BOTH RAD & BOSS!!!
It's Suhr, actually! :-D
John Suhr is The Best ! He took the designs of Jim Marshall, Leo Fender, Ted McCarty , perfected them and improved them.
This thing sounds amazing
God I hope Guitar Center starts selling Suhr guitars and products!!! Please include quality high end gear!!!! Not all of us are into 600$ guitars!!!!!!
Great guitarist with a great Amp and signature sound
Awesome 👌
Hi pete. Are there any plans to turn this into a pre amp for use in home studios. Im using the marshal jmp1 pre and yours sounds pretty cool.. thanks
So, John is selling his amps through GC now? Guitars too?
10:28 OMG! So good!!!
Luscious amplifier.
interesting timing with the Friedman Vintage launch happening. I like it though.
The PT100 has been out for years, just now it is available at Guitar Center.
Sometime when listening to Pete play, you can forget there isn't any accompaniment. Wait, that's just guitar!
Awesome😃👍❤️🎶🎸
Pete could make some rubber bands tied to an empty tissue box sound good. His signature gear is great but Pete is a monster player!
😵🎸🔥
Pete Thorn rules. Does this mean Guitar Center is selling Suhr stuff now? I'm interested in one of John Suhr's pizzas......
Pete rocks.
The only criticism that I have of this amp is that so many of the controls are on the back, when there's so much space unused on the front panel.

Since Jeff Becks sad demise Pete has become custodian of the 'beck/tuffnell hair do 😅
I like so much
Nice.
Thanks for this video. Now I understand that Suhr guitars and amps are made by great marketers, but bad musicians. The sound is crap.
One of the worst sounding amps ever made. Suhr really dropped the ball on this one
Get your ears checked dude
@@jadonsgtr hey if you like shit tone buy it. I had to use it a few times and it’s terrible
@@careybradfordguitar 😂
😊👍🎸🎵👌sounds very good, footsw.logic is cool. I need to listen and read on this.
