This is brilliant!! The way you can completely change the plot and the meaning with a bit of editing and alternate music. It makes me want to see the film you've turned it into. Haha
How to make a Wes Anderson trailer: 1. Make a teaser of the most interesting scene 2. Tell the audience the whole plot of the story using only dialogue from the movie while folk/rock music plays in the background
I'm subbing. After your hilarious Darth Vader Vid and this brilliant parody trailer, it's apparent you have a knack for comedic timing and good editing.
if they put on the trailer like that back in the day, people would get lured to theater to watch the movie thinking its a family friendly sci-fi movie, then they be like "dafuq did i just watch?" lmao
What's that last song that plays? It's irritating me. I'd usually just try and find it but I can't make out any of the lyrics, apart from ''ooooohh oooohhh'' which isn't any help. Haha.
m. deicke Ye, I managed to find it. I thought, since it's in the style of Wes Anderson, maybe a trailer of one of his actual films has the song on it so I looked up some trailers for his films and found one called 'The royal tenenbaums' which had it on it, so I looked up ''trailer music'' on that film. Thanks anyway. :)
I wouldn't say "hilarious", but definitely cute. I did a doubletake out of the windows at the end, it's been so long since I've seen "2001" I forgot how closely Moonbase Alpha resembled the lunar base!
The actors were directed to speak in a flat monotone to illustrate the director's idea that due it a saturation of technology humans in the future would become bland without hardly any personalities. The computer HAL was intentionally depicted as the only character that had any personality at all. I don't know who this Wes Anderson is but I'm guessing he's today's intentionally bland pop icon.

This definitely deserves more views, best Wes Anderson style/parody I've seen! (except maybe the Spider-Man one, I love that)
My favorite is the X-Men parody, but I really like this one too.

(5 yrs. later and still waiting for "soon" to arrive...)
You've turned one of the greatest Science fiction films ever shot into a buddy road trip film, Bloody amazing!

The power of editing in action.
That was awesome. Good work. Now maybe make One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest a romantic comedy between nurse ratchet and jack nicholson?
very clever
remembered this when thinking of Haladay, Hollow, Holroyd
This is better than all those fake AI stuff. This has a lot of care and love put into it. Great!

wow i would love to see this movie. not a fan of the first one.
you have an innate sense of generic conventions. You cut a fake trailer better than most professionals cut real ones.
