    ever thought of using paint strainer in the bucket and using a bulkhead gasket in the bucket to pump out the water from the bucket?

    for particle filtering, gold panning classifying screens actually stack into 5 gallon buckets and come in many meshes.

    i remember your 1st video on this set up... fine job, fine job sir.... these video's give me inspiration to keep going on my little shop im building at home.... thx for the quick update on that contraption... well worth the money if it makes it almost 3 years... quick and easy and not plumber to have to mess with because the pipes would be so jacked up if that wasn't in place to catch all the FUNK.
    FINE JOB

    We use almost the same setup but we have a 100 micron bucket strainer in the bucket and it pumps into the sink through a 50 icron filter

      Nice! I bet that makes for crystal clear drinking water. I was honestly surprise as to how clean the drain pipe is. I was expecting a little bit of lining, but very minimal funk.

    HI MIKEY
    From this pump will it filter all the drain water and put out the clean water

    • @mikeydesignssilkscreen473
      @mikeydesignssilkscreen473  3 года назад

      The idea is, the air filter will capture big particles, bucket catches medium size particles that are heavy and will sink. The rest of the water is almost like pond water that really wont make much of a difference going down a city drain. You could pump the water into huge 55 gallon drums and but a powder, forget what it's called, that'll collect all the unfiltered ink and emulsion. Then the water is clear as drinking water.

    do you really need the glue? I figured it's not enough pressure to matter and next time you won't have to cut the PVC

    • @mikeydesignssilkscreen473

      I didn't because I tend to lose the receipts when I actually need them. Last time I got a plan, they told me I needed the receipt after a power washer failed from Lowes and they couldn't search back longer than 6 months. I just chuck it up to a business expense. :)

    Do you know why the pump switch failed? Around 133 dollars sounds okay for ~3 years of use but having to chuck out that entire pump still seems like a huge waste, environmentally speaking.
