I tried target potential customers who I thought might want ceramic coatings and paint correction. The key words “I thought”. Most customers don’t want it. I realized It’s not about what I think, it’s about what the customer wants. I find myself doing more interior details than anything. And it’s okay. It’s help me improve my interior skill set. Just my 2 cents.

Man, every single word you said in this video is completely the truth. I’m still trying to build my business, I’ve only been detailing for almost 4 months while working at a restaurant, I made a rough business card that only had my name, number and my services, I started handing my business card to my customers at the restaurant and some of them would just leave it on the table, it really hurt my feelings at the beginning, but now it’s different, I’m slowly building my clientele and 100% of my customers have been happy with the results.

@@OhSnapSon I have the same thing happened to me with people taking my cards and leave them where they were. It's a waste of money printing them but no one really wants them..

Thanks for tuning in. It’s okay to be scared. Now you have something to work towards. The unknown can be scary. The fear will subside once you put in the work

At 7:24 u mentioned offer what your good at. Thats a great tip. For many reasons.
Ot keeps it simple. There a 80/20 rule that can supersede the business.
It goes like if you offer 80% of packages ur gonna strike 20%
    Compared to if you
Offer 20% of certain packages(exterior wax paint corrections or interior details reconditioning) ur gonna get 80%of that and focused on that and will 10x because the funnel is faster

Very true! I have a couple clients that are thinking about ceramic coatings after I’ve applied a sealant to their vehicle. They notice the difference and the longevity of sealants vs traditional waxes.

I'm so glad I found this channel. For 6 years, I've been looking at detailers, researching the chemicals even bought an SPTA polisher to start but I'm afraid that I'd fail or people wouldn't pay the prices. I think I needed to see this video so that I can try. 🙏🏽
I like that these videos are without all the fancy editing and fluff. Gives me a more realistic perspective

Great video love the knowledge that you spittin I agree 100% with mostly everything you're saying. In my area my problem with detailers is there killing me right now with these prices and everybody and their mama offering food meals out of the kitchen or they are detailer all the sudden. I just keep it moving don't change my prices and anticipate raising my prices soon

Yo i love the process so sick i have similar. Always trying new ways..
Currently after wash and rinse while the car is wet i spray beadmaker on then dry it off. Its a drying aid and also it adds gloss and slick as it cures, then after u can also put another topper amd its EXTRA glossy and slick..

I always watch your videos and follow your advice.. I have been detailing for about 3 years now. I have 25 reviews, all 5 stars, but even with that many reviews and ⭐ stars, I'm not getting book like I expected. I only detail on weekends, but I think I sho6be getting more clients.😊
I don't run ads on any platforms like , Instagram, Facebook, TikTok nor google. Speaking of google, I realized that I need a website to run Google ads. And I forgot, the detailed from my personal car.
What advice can you offer me

I see a lot of new detailers spending thousands or going in debt for $30k to get a van and equipment at h2o or other people that do setups and yet they got no website yet, I started with the Honda Odyssey van 5 years ago which I bought $1700 and still use today. Detailing is very unpredictable, the weather alone could fuck you up for weeks weather is hot or cold or raining, not everyone lives in LA or Florida

@@AAProfessionalServices I see a detailer who acts like he's the best "gangster" detailer. And he's good, but he has no modesty. He actually makes himself look foolish. I think a lot of people see him on youtube and take detailing too serious.
You on the other hand, have no ego. You are modest and professional. Nothing but class.
