TBH, Braithwaite is a better player than people make him. He doesn't hit the box as much as some people would want him to, but dayum he's as a great "assister".. Fast paced, secure on ball, and practically always connect his passes..
New to the channel. I do think Denmark could go far. We all say England/Germany have an easier run after their game but playing any team in the semi’s will be hard. If you’re in the semifinals the team you play will be on a high and a good run as Croatia proved to England 3 years ago. Decent tournament so far.
Agree, England and Germany first have to beat each other that will be a difficulty match, then probably Sweden and they are not be an easy task. Then the Netherlands if they prove to actually be as good as they looks or hopefully Denmark. Both Germany and England will be the favorite playing Denmark or Sweden but Sweden have shown then can take down Italy and draw Spain. Denmark have not lost in like 4 years, beside the match where the footsal team played and the match against Finland that should never have been played after what happened with Eriksen.
The lack of experience with Rodon and Mepham at the back killed us as well, Williams in 2016 was a leader at the back who would have settled them, maybe Gunter could've done that over Neco but doesn't matter much in the end

It wasn't offside. This annoys me that people can't comprehend that when you view with the camera the line is not properly straight on and it's super easy for things to look off/onside. Trigonometry works. When people moan about VAR they want to see it look off/onside in the angle they are looking at which could be incorrect. They need to come up with some animation stuff so the VAR is in line.
Denmark can upset Netherlands too, they are very balanced team despite losing their best player (and it seems Eriksen really inspired them actually). Wales are solid, so to beat them like that is very impressive!
@@Hyde_Hill I loved him at Ajax, but still I was happy to see him go. He clearly wasn't happy and it wasn't working out for him in the system Ten Hag wanted to play with this team. At Nice he became himself again, and he rediscovered his form. He's also clearly having more fun, as it was great to see him actually celebrating a goal, something he didn't really do at Ajax. Of course he's a talented player, and it would've been great if he'd rediscovered his form at Ajax. But sometimes a player and a club or coach simply don't match, and then letting him go can be the right decision.

Kasper Hjulmand's tactical masterclass in the absence of two of their best players. The football he has them playing even without stars like Eriksen & Poulsen is outstanding. The in game switch of Maehle from LWB to RWB worked seamlessly & culminated in him scoring the 3rd goal. Gian Piero Gasperini is a master at moulding wing backs
@@Yasinvanpersie Christensen was more a defensive midfielder at a good level for his age, when chelsea bought him and started to retrain him for the centre back role. It still shows in his composure on the ball while being pressured by attackers. Mæhle is a right wing back primarily, but plays the left wing back at just about the same level aswell. Our other left back options has been an achilles heel for a while untill he popped up playing well at Genk in Belgium. But yeah when you have that kind of fluidity in the team, you have to use it. For some reason many managers doesn't utilise the tactical advantage that can give.
I feel, probably quite cynically, that the absence of eriksen might be a blessing in disguise for Denmark, the lack of a central focal point allowed for more expansive, progressive football and it allowed for some player that may not have been in the limelight as much to really grab the opportunity and go for it, this Denmark team looks really, really good
i am sorry even in your knockout preview i thought you were overrating wales so hard. this was for me the easiest matchup to pick (i know it is easy to say now). wales looked meh vs switzerland and got lucky with a point, turkey was bad in general and italy basically was resting and not going all out which all in all made wales look better than they were.

As a Dane who have never cared too much under the national team under Hareide and Olsen (a bit boring football, but Hareide got amazing results), this is absolutely crazy. It's so weird to have the feeling of going into every game, and not really imagine anyone can beat us. Damsgaard is a revelation for our side as we've lacked creativity and flair in our attack (Poulsen and Braithwaite brings a lot of work rate, but lacks the natural flair). Mæhle being played out of position and not caring, then goes onto his preferred position, puts Davies on his ass and smashes it in the close corner with his weak foot.. Danish fan support is also crazy right now!

He is doing a great job, linking our defence and midfield together while also providing offensively with high pressure and through balls the the fast runners up front. So far that only gave 1 goal against Belgium. In the other games he received the ball many times and sent a hard pass forwards through the opposition lines, setting up dangerous situation. Damsgaards goal against Russia was an example of that. Prior to the knock out games he actually had a split lead on the assist table with 3 assists. And ontop of all that he is a warrior.

That was like watching a bunch of low level PL players mixed in with a few Championship players and a couple of former elite players living off how good they were 5 years ago, come up against a proper football team who actually had a plan and were coached by a professional. Have some respect please. Those players did great in the first 20 minutes and then just couldn’t capitalize in the gaps in the danish defense. It’s a young welsh team for the most part and they can go on to be a great team in the future with the correct coach. Page isn’t the man to do it unfortunately but to completely disregard a team like that by using their current places in their club careers to completely disrespect them is not cool. Denmark deserved the win. The ref was a twat. And in the future this Welsh team will hopefully get better, but not with someone like giggs or page in the future.

Kinda funny u didn't notice that Denmark changed tactics after 20 minute, where they went to play 2 at the back and Maehle and Stryger Larsen to go a bit futher back to pick up the ball, he put Christensen in the DM, but you can not say something about the red card, he didn't even go for the ball, he went only for the man and that is red card, the 2nd goal shouldn't be allowed due to a foul to Moore, the 4th goal was revived and they gave a goal, we can only see the pictures from TV and every1 thinks it is offside, they have the better pictures. For me it looked like an offside goal aswell. You are forgetting about the yellow card that a Wales player should have received when he pushed Andreas Cornelius in the back after he went through 4 or 5 players, that was also a clear foul that the ref didn't notice, otherwise it is a good reaction.

Ref may have made some slip-ups, but Wales players really did play dirty a lot this game; pushing down players at the other end of the pitch, numerous physical fouls and not to mention the red card.
Also got him from the 1st matchday. Very cheap, Gasperini's wingback. No brainer really. It confused the heck out of me why some people took him out of their fantasy team. He's not expensive and this is perhaps Denmark's last easy game, he should be among the last man you think of replacing in this round

I need to rewatch the game I think but from last night the refereeing was absolutely crap, but we just didn't get going last night, should have just gone for it in the last 20/30 mins but Denmark were just a bit better than us really. A bit disappointed but I am proud of the team either way

As a wales fan I'm proud of the boys we weren't able to keep our composure and that what cost us just remember where we were 10 years ago 117th in the world ranking 10 years later two major tournaments one in which we reach the semi finals and now we are 17th in the world rankings
From a Dane: great analysis. The crucial turning point was when Denmark changed formation around 15 mins. into the game, and Wales didnt have a response to that. Seems like a lot of ppl missed that and wonder why Wales lost the good momentum they started out with. It was tactical masterclass by the Danish coaching team, and shows one of the biggest strengths of the Danish team; flexible formations and not dependent on a few players - all players seems to grasp the flexible tactics. I agree that some of the refs calls were a bit harsh on Wales - but thats not the reason Denmark won. Wales was quite simply outclassed by tactics and skills. I really like how Wales have developed over the last few years, and hope you get some better management/coaching in the future, because you deserve better having a solid squad and amazing team spirit/togetherness to build on. Best luck going forward in the World cup qualifiers - I think theres a good chance you get ahead of the Czechs - if you get a better coach.
What about when Wales were 2-0 down, Bale jumped in front of Kiefer Moore trying to do everything himself? You can argue Moore buries that with his head and at 2-1 the game changes drastically. Regardless, we can't keep making excuses for Wales man. Ref or not, they were bland. Nothing really after 20 minutes gone, outclassed in every aspect. Well done for the group stages performances but this was an absolute dismantling. Ramsey never in the game and all I heard was "when Bale and Ramsey are together, they play well". Ramsey was non-existent. Bale tried to do everything himself. But let's try and give Wales the benefit of the doubt and be nice because they are gonna give us shit if we lose on Tuesday haha Also that was a great onside call for the 4th goal. I was expecting VAR to give it offside due to his upper half possibly being offside. But for me, offsides should be judged by feet only and also that move deserved a goal. I think Denmark will reach the final, I really do. And that’s because I actually don’t rate the Dutch too highly. They have won their games, but with little competition. You said you were interested in how Denmark would do against a better defence, but I think Wales and Finland are better defensively than Holland, because Holland want to attack, they open up the game, instead of letting the opposition control the game. I think Denmark can exploit that defence in transitions. I also fancy Denmark against England and Germany, because they are more confident, have less expectations, and are just playing better. Denmark have also shown they can play with the big boys. Drew against France at the 2018 World Cup. Finalists Croatia needed a penalty shootout to beat Denmark. Denmark won and drew against England in the Nations League. And Denmark recently drew against Germany in the friendlies leading up to the tournemount. Lastly, although they lost, I think Denmark dominated Belgium in the group stage, but lost because Belgium used a cheat code called Kevin De Bruyne
As a Welsh man I have to admit we definitely underperformed today but were definitely beaten by the better team. I do feel that with more fans in the ground a difference could've been made but not enough to change the Denmark win
It’s always hard to see if a team underperforms or it’s the opponents making them look like that. I think Wales looked really good until Hjulmann moved Christensen to the midfield, that broke up Wales attack and they were not really that dangerous for the rest of the match. Only a bit again after the forced double substitute of Kjær and Stryger.
Yeah I thought the stadium and fan set up for most of these teams in the Euros has been disgraceful. Wales fans aren’t allowed and if that’s the case why is it fair to pack the stadium with mostly danish fans. The welsh team has always been What it’s been with the fans famously being the 12th man. Then seeing teams like Italy play every game in Rome and stuff is just screwed up while wales have to travel like many other teams. On the football side, wales came out strong which was great but I don’t think page had an ideal plan for this team with the youth and older players not at their best anymore. We relied on bale and Ramsey and they couldn’t do the job because sadly they are past their old selves. Now we need a proper manager to direct this young welsh team in the correct position.

I actually had Denmark going to the semi finals in my predictions. I back them to beat Netherlands (even though I always support the Dutch) and certainly Czechia if they can beat Netherlands. I think everyone has Denmark as their second team so it'd good to see. I'm English but live in Wales and all the Welsh fans I know didn't make excuses about the ref. They all sdaid fair play to Denmark and will be backing them from now on. Always good to see

Denmark deserved the win against Russia and Wales...one of the best teams out there. Denmark could go all the way. I'd like them to win, only because of Eriksson thing. Denmark were great and Wales were terrible. But the refs and VAR didn't give Wales a chance. Game was killed by a goal that clearly shouldn't have stood. I don't want to take anything from Denmark as I feel they'd have smashed it regardless. But man it's gotta suck to lose like that for Wales. Not given a chance. it wasn't just the goal and the red. A couple of ridiculous yellow cards and Denmark got EVERY 50/50. It felt fixed and whilst it probably wasn't, it really did feel fixed. It was that bad. A disgrace to the game and I feel sorry for Denmark more than Wales, because their great moment shouldn't be marred by that. Denmark are very good but i Think we Will be in deep trouble when/if we meet netherland. We are so good at Football when i are in control, så basicly leading. Denmark 100% deserved to win, Wales really didn't perform as well as we could. Referee had a bit of a poor day and gave Denmark a lot of decisions. But, being one of the smaller nations, what more can we expect, qualifying and getting out of the group is a massive achievement for any Welsh squad. Good luck to Denmark in the next round.
In all fairness, Wales was in the game for 10-15 mins, and then it was all Denmark. After they went 1-0 up, there were no doubt they were going to win it, because Wales had absolutely nothing from then on. They could've kept playing until the ref blew his whistle on the second goal. They didn't and it ended up in a horrid clearance and a goal. After that, Denmark continued dominating. Cornelius somehow turned into Lionel Messi when Mephan avoided a second yellow card when he tried to stop him with no whistle. The third goal was class. The red card was completely fair since the ball wasn't anywhere near the man, and he just went for the man and his supporting foot from behind. The fourth goal was played onside by the Wales defender's own foot. Wales weren't hard done, they got played off the park.
I respect the U.K/British ties, but they were outclassed tactically and player by player today. The better team without a shadow of a doubt won. 11 fouls to 8?, didn't watch the whole game but VAR checked the last goal so I'm not sure where the dispute is. GL to denmark!
The foul was there, but they should keep focusing on the game until the whistle blows. Denmark was clearly the better team overall, so Denmark is the right team moving forward. As a Dane, I fear the Netherlands more then England or Germany. We beat England last time on Wembley and draw then at home. We also have played the last two matches against Germany to a draw. The Netherlands are hard to really be sure what to expect from.

As a Welshman and Cardiff fan I'm proud of what we achieved. 2016 was a fairytale where all the stars aligned so looking at this tournament separately we have over achieved by getting out of the group. Especially considering everyone's RUclips predictions expecting us to finish bottom of the group 🤣 As for the game Denmark were better but as an underdog you do need the odd thing to work your way and travelling 12k miles in 2 weeks doesn't help 😂 then having an appalling ref certainly didn't help. @@testmangadget1424 whilst it is a valid point, I said to my old man yesterday. Denmark have a plan B and they went to it after 20 mins. We do not. However Robert Page has only had the squad for 3/4 games prior to the tournament because of old giggsy - it would have been silly of him to try a different system especially when so close to a major tournament. Sadly 4/5 games isn't enough time to develop multiple ways of playing but the Denmark Manager has been with that team for over a year and the difference shows. Take nothing away from Denmark, most managers would wait til half time to change things but he didn't hesitate to scrap plan A and plan B paid off
Wales were just so static at times. I feel like they've criminally underutilised Tyler Roberts this tournament. He provides that pace, workrate, pressing, movement off the ball and the ability to run at defenders

Wales s passing is sub standard in general. This is a problem. Player like Wilson and Brooks were very soppy the moment they came on. They are suppose to be elite players. Trying to do too much. Roberts did his groin from an another awful pass from Morrell. The young gun Levitt can pass and can be used to help the team along side Bale in mdfield. Wales legs were gone too much travel. Denmark have stayed at home. wales maybe tried to play too much football. Had they played for a 0-0, 5-3-2 might have been better. Better managers than Page with better defenders learn that 5-3-2 gives cover for Championship defenders.
wales fan here. Tough one to take but not too many complaints. We looked well off it, Denmark really impressive too, gave us absolutely nothing and they just looked so much more up for it. Ref gave us nothing but I don’t think it makes a huge difference anyway. Excited to see how far the Danes can go.
Denmark just mauled Wales. They never stopped it did not matter that they where in the lead they just attacked and attacked. That could be the wrong tactic against some of the teams but generally to have a high pressure and pace is the best defense. Against Wales that tactic works very well. They could definitely beat Netherland but it will not be the same kind of game.
The last goal wasn't offside. Second goal you have a case, but the last one is just embarrasing to complain about. The only two times the refs screwed you was the red card and the foul before the second goal (which definitely sucks). Kieffer Moore was a fair yellow, he tends to jump way before the ball as anywhere near him just to mess with the defender. And again the last goal wasn't offside. I know being knocked out sucks, but don't be that sort please. You had one shot on target, I think the result was generally fair.
Really gutted as a Welsh fan we didn’t fan forward even if we push forward we didn’t really make a mark on the game, even with the game tenuous deserve to beat us comfortably2-0 at the least I can only cheer them on during this tournament but we really didn’t show up which was disappointing for us, FairPlay to Denmark hopefully they go far ill be cheering them on
Denmark were certainly the better team after the first 20 mins and deservedly won despite the worst referee performance of the euros so far! Unfortunately after Denmark made the tactical formation switch and we didn't have a plan B to turn too. I'm still not sure that last goal is onside 😅 but didn't really make a difference. Very proud of the team for getting as far as they did, such a shame how poor the competition was set out that not many fans could get to any games, would have helped our performances.
Denmark simply want to win this tournament more than the teams they are facing, more power to them. As an English supporter I can already see us facing the same fate as Wales on Tuesday against Germany.

New to the channel. I do think Denmark could go far. We all say England/Germany have an easier run after their game but playing any team in the semi’s will be hard. If you’re in the semifinals the team you play will be on a high and a good run as Croatia proved to England 3 years ago. Decent tournament so far.

Agree, England and Germany first have to beat each other that will be a difficulty match, then probably Sweden and they are not be an easy task.
Then the Netherlands if they prove to actually be as good as they looks or hopefully Denmark. Both Germany and England will be the favorite playing Denmark or Sweden but Sweden have shown then can take down Italy and draw Spain. Denmark have not lost in like 4 years, beside the match where the footsal team played and the match against Finland that should never have been played after what happened with Eriksen.
The lack of experience with Rodon and Mepham at the back killed us as well, Williams in 2016 was a leader at the back who would have settled them, maybe Gunter could've done that over Neco but doesn't matter much in the end
Rodon has been phenomenal for you guys in this Euro campaign! Today was the first time i saw him make a major mistake in defense.

It wasn't offside. This annoys me that people can't comprehend that when you view with the camera the line is not properly straight on and it's super easy for things to look off/onside. Trigonometry works. When people moan about VAR they want to see it look off/onside in the angle they are looking at which could be incorrect. They need to come up with some animation stuff so the VAR is in line.
They should use one of those mobile cameras that they use for sprints at the Olympics so they’re always in line with the last defender

Denmark can upset Netherlands too, they are very balanced team despite losing their best player (and it seems Eriksen really inspired them actually). Wales are solid, so to beat them like that is very impressive!
Will be interesting to see Dolberg vs De Ligt and Blind. Given how unlucky his exit from Ajax was. Which I still think was a mistake at the time.
@@Hyde_Hill I loved him at Ajax, but still I was happy to see him go. He clearly wasn't happy and it wasn't working out for him in the system Ten Hag wanted to play with this team. At Nice he became himself again, and he rediscovered his form. He's also clearly having more fun, as it was great to see him actually celebrating a goal, something he didn't really do at Ajax.
Of course he's a talented player, and it would've been great if he'd rediscovered his form at Ajax. But sometimes a player and a club or coach simply don't match, and then letting him go can be the right decision.

Kasper Hjulmand's tactical masterclass in the absence of two of their best players. The football he has them playing even without stars like Eriksen & Poulsen is outstanding. The in game switch of Maehle from LWB to RWB worked seamlessly & culminated in him scoring the 3rd goal. Gian Piero Gasperini is a master at moulding wing backs
and also the centre backs are so fluent, Christensen goes to midfield a lot and against Belgium you can see them switching positions

@@Yasinvanpersie Christensen was more a defensive midfielder at a good level for his age, when chelsea bought him and started to retrain him for the centre back role. It still shows in his composure on the ball while being pressured by attackers. Mæhle is a right wing back primarily, but plays the left wing back at just about the same level aswell. Our other left back options has been an achilles heel for a while untill he popped up playing well at Genk in Belgium. But yeah when you have that kind of fluidity in the team, you have to use it. For some reason many managers doesn't utilise the tactical advantage that can give.
I feel, probably quite cynically, that the absence of eriksen might be a blessing in disguise for Denmark, the lack of a central focal point allowed for more expansive, progressive football and it allowed for some player that may not have been in the limelight as much to really grab the opportunity and go for it, this Denmark team looks really, really good
i am sorry even in your knockout preview i thought you were overrating wales so hard. this was for me the easiest matchup to pick (i know it is easy to say now). wales looked meh vs switzerland and got lucky with a point, turkey was bad in general and italy basically was resting and not going all out which all in all made wales look better than they were.

As a Dane who have never cared too much under the national team under Hareide and Olsen (a bit boring football, but Hareide got amazing results), this is absolutely crazy. It's so weird to have the feeling of going into every game, and not really imagine anyone can beat us.
Damsgaard is a revelation for our side as we've lacked creativity and flair in our attack (Poulsen and Braithwaite brings a lot of work rate, but lacks the natural flair). Mæhle being played out of position and not caring, then goes onto his preferred position, puts Davies on his ass and smashes it in the close corner with his weak foot.. Danish fan support is also crazy right now!

He is doing a great job, linking our defence and midfield together while also providing offensively with high pressure and through balls the the fast runners up front. So far that only gave 1 goal against Belgium. In the other games he received the ball many times and sent a hard pass forwards through the opposition lines, setting up dangerous situation. Damsgaards goal against Russia was an example of that. Prior to the knock out games he actually had a split lead on the assist table with 3 assists. And ontop of all that he is a warrior.

That was like watching a bunch of low level PL players mixed in with a few Championship players and a couple of former elite players living off how good they were 5 years ago, come up against a proper football team who actually had a plan and were coached by a professional.

Have some respect please. Those players did great in the first 20 minutes and then just couldn’t capitalize in the gaps in the danish defense. It’s a young welsh team for the most part and they can go on to be a great team in the future with the correct coach. Page isn’t the man to do it unfortunately but to completely disregard a team like that by using their current places in their club careers to completely disrespect them is not cool. Denmark deserved the win. The ref was a twat. And in the future this Welsh team will hopefully get better, but not with someone like giggs or page in the future.

Kinda funny u didn't notice that Denmark changed tactics after 20 minute, where they went to play 2 at the back and Maehle and Stryger Larsen to go a bit futher back to pick up the ball, he put Christensen in the DM, but you can not say something about the red card, he didn't even go for the ball, he went only for the man and that is red card, the 2nd goal shouldn't be allowed due to a foul to Moore, the 4th goal was revived and they gave a goal, we can only see the pictures from TV and every1 thinks it is offside, they have the better pictures. For me it looked like an offside goal aswell.
You are forgetting about the yellow card that a Wales player should have received when he pushed Andreas Cornelius in the back after he went through 4 or 5 players, that was also a clear foul that the ref didn't notice, otherwise it is a good reaction.

Ref may have made some slip-ups, but Wales players really did play dirty a lot this game; pushing down players at the other end of the pitch, numerous physical fouls and not to mention the red card.

Also got him from the 1st matchday. Very cheap, Gasperini's wingback. No brainer really. It confused the heck out of me why some people took him out of their fantasy team. He's not expensive and this is perhaps Denmark's last easy game, he should be among the last man you think of replacing in this round

From a Dane: great analysis. The crucial turning point was when Denmark changed formation around 15 mins. into the game, and Wales didnt have a response to that. Seems like a lot of ppl missed that and wonder why Wales lost the good momentum they started out with. It was tactical masterclass by the Danish coaching team, and shows one of the biggest strengths of the Danish team; flexible formations and not dependent on a few players - all players seems to grasp the flexible tactics.
I agree that some of the refs calls were a bit harsh on Wales - but thats not the reason Denmark won. Wales was quite simply outclassed by tactics and skills.
I really like how Wales have developed over the last few years, and hope you get some better management/coaching in the future, because you deserve better having a solid squad and amazing team spirit/togetherness to build on.
Best luck going forward in the World cup qualifiers - I think theres a good chance you get ahead of the Czechs - if you get a better coach.

What about when Wales were 2-0 down, Bale jumped in front of Kiefer Moore trying to do everything himself? You can argue Moore buries that with his head and at 2-1 the game changes drastically. Regardless, we can't keep making excuses for Wales man. Ref or not, they were bland. Nothing really after 20 minutes gone, outclassed in every aspect. Well done for the group stages performances but this was an absolute dismantling. Ramsey never in the game and all I heard was "when Bale and Ramsey are together, they play well". Ramsey was non-existent. Bale tried to do everything himself.

Also that was a great onside call for the 4th goal. I was expecting VAR to give it offside due to his upper half possibly being offside. But for me, offsides should be judged by feet only and also that move deserved a goal. Welsh were done, give them it.
I think Denmark will reach the final, I really do. And that’s because I actually don’t rate the Dutch too highly. They have won their games, but with little competition. You said you were interested in how Denmark would do against a better defence, but I think Wales and Finland are better defensively than Holland, because Holland want to attack, they open up the game, instead of letting the opposition control the game. I think Denmark can exploit that defence in transitions. I also fancy Denmark against England and Germany, because they are more confident, have less expectations, and are just playing better. Denmark have also shown they can play with the big boys. Drew against France at the 2018 World Cup. Finalists Croatia needed a penalty shootout to beat Denmark. Denmark won and drew against England in the Nations League. And Denmark recently drew against Germany in the friendlies leading up to the tournemount. Lastly, although they lost, I think Denmark dominated Belgium in the group stage, but lost because Belgium used a cheat code called Kevin De Bruyne

As a Welsh man I have to admit we definitely underperformed today but were definitely beaten by the better team. I do feel that with more fans in the ground a difference could've been made but not enough to change the Denmark win
It’s always hard to see if a team underperforms or it’s the opponents making them look like that.
I think Wales looked really good until Hjulmann moved Christensen to the midfield, that broke up Wales attack and they were not really that dangerous for the rest of the match. Only a bit again after the forced double substitute of Kjær and Stryger.
Yeah I thought the stadium and fan set up for most of these teams in the Euros has been disgraceful. Wales fans aren’t allowed and if that’s the case why is it fair to pack the stadium with mostly danish fans. The welsh team has always been What it’s been with the fans famously being the 12th man. Then seeing teams like Italy play every game in Rome and stuff is just screwed up while wales have to travel like many other teams. On the football side, wales came out strong which was great but I don’t think page had an ideal plan for this team with the youth and older players not at their best anymore. We relied on bale and Ramsey and they couldn’t do the job because sadly they are past their old selves. Now we need a proper manager to direct this young welsh team in the correct position.

I actually had Denmark going to the semi finals in my predictions. I back them to beat Netherlands (even though I always support the Dutch) and certainly Czechia if they can beat Netherlands. I think everyone has Denmark as their second team so it'd good to see. I'm English but live in Wales and all the Welsh fans I know didn't make excuses about the ref. They all sdaid fair play to Denmark and will be backing them from now on. Always good to see

Denmark were great and Wales were terrible. But the refs and VAR didn't give Wales a chance. Game was killed by a goal that clearly shouldn't have stood. I don't want to take anything from Denmark as I feel they'd have smashed it regardless. But man it's gotta suck to lose like that for Wales. Not given a chance. it wasn't just the goal and the red. A couple of ridiculous yellow cards and Denmark got EVERY 50/50. It felt fixed and whilst it probably wasn't, it really did feel fixed. It was that bad. Denmark are very good but i Think we Will be in deep trouble when/if we meet netherland. We are so good at Football when i are in control, så basicly leading. Denmark 100% deserved to win, Wales really didn't perform as well as we could. Referee had a bit of a poor day and gave Denmark a lot of decisions.
But, being one of the smaller nations, what more can we expect, qualifying and getting out of the group is a massive achievement for any Welsh squad.

In all fairness, Wales was in the game for 10-15 mins, and then it was all Denmark. After they went 1-0 up, there were no doubt they were going to win it, because Wales had absolutely nothing from then on. They could've kept playing until the ref blew his whistle on the second goal. They didn't and it ended up in a horrid clearance and a goal. After that, Denmark continued dominating. Cornelius somehow turned into Lionel Messi when Mephan avoided a second yellow card when he tried to stop him with no whistle. The third goal was class. The red card was completely fair since the ball wasn't anywhere near the man, and he just went for the man and his supporting foot from behind. The fourth goal was played onside by the Wales defender's own foot. Wales weren't hard done, they got played off the park.
I respect the U.K/British ties, but they were outclassed tactically and player by player today. The better team without a shadow of a doubt won. 11 fouls to 8?, didn't watch the whole game but VAR checked the last goal so I'm not sure where the dispute is. GL to denmark!
The foul was there, but they should keep focusing on the game until the whistle blows. Denmark was clearly the better team overall, so Denmark is the right team moving forward.

As a Dane, I fear the Netherlands more then England or Germany.
We beat England last time on Wembley and draw then at home. We also have played the last two matches against Germany to a draw.
The Netherlands are hard to really be sure what to expect from.

As a Welshman and Cardiff fan I'm proud of what we achieved. 2016 was a fairytale where all the stars aligned so looking at this tournament separately we have over achieved by getting out of the group. Especially considering everyone's RUclips predictions expecting us to finish bottom of the group 🤣
As for the game Denmark were better but as an underdog you do need the odd thing to work your way and travelling 12k miles in 2 weeks doesn't help 😂 then having an appalling ref certainly didn't help.
I mention I'm a cardiff fan as sadly what happened tonight to Kieffer Moore happens literally every game, the man could be RKO'd and still not earn a foul.
At least in 2016 we lost to the winners and let's hope thats the case again this time
Imo the problem is the Welsh coaching more than the players. They didnt have a response to Denmark changing formation - like there was only one plan, and it dint work.
@@testmangadget1424 whilst it is a valid point, I said to my old man yesterday. Denmark have a plan B and they went to it after 20 mins. We do not.
However Robert Page has only had the squad for 3/4 games prior to the tournament because of old giggsy - it would have been silly of him to try a different system especially when so close to a major tournament.
Sadly 4/5 games isn't enough time to develop multiple ways of playing but the Denmark Manager has been with that team for over a year and the difference shows.
Take nothing away from Denmark, most managers would wait til half time to change things but he didn't hesitate to scrap plan A and plan B paid off

Wales were just so static at times. I feel like they've criminally underutilised Tyler Roberts this tournament. He provides that pace, workrate, pressing, movement off the ball and the ability to run at defenders

Wales s passing is sub standard in general. This is a problem. Player like Wilson and Brooks were very soppy the moment they came on. They are suppose to be elite players. Trying to do too much. Roberts did his groin from an another awful pass from Morrell. The young gun Levitt can pass and can be used to help the team along side Bale in mdfield. Wales legs were gone too much travel. Denmark have stayed at home. wales maybe tried to play too much football. Had they played for a 0-0, 5-3-2 might have been better. Better managers than Page with better defenders learn that 5-3-2 gives cover for Championship defenders.
V Belgium in 2016 Davies, Ashley Williams and Chester with Gunter and Taylor as wingbacks. Wales got too cocky and came unstuck.

wales fan here. Tough one to take but not too many complaints. We looked well off it, Denmark really impressive too, gave us absolutely nothing and they just looked so much more up for it. Ref gave us nothing but I don’t think it makes a huge difference anyway. Excited to see how far the Danes can go.
Denmark just mauled Wales. They never stopped it did not matter that they where in the lead they just attacked and attacked. That could be the wrong tactic against some of the teams but generally to have a high pressure and pace is the best defense. Against Wales that tactic works very well. They could definitely beat Netherland but it will not be the same kind of game.
The last goal wasn't offside. Second goal you have a case, but the last one is just embarrasing to complain about. The only two times the refs screwed you was the red card and the foul before the second goal (which definitely sucks). Kieffer Moore was a fair yellow, he tends to jump way before the ball as anywhere near him just to mess with the defender. And again the last goal wasn't offside. I know being knocked out sucks, but don't be that sort please. You had one shot on target, I think the result was generally fair.
Really gutted as a Welsh fan we didn’t fan forward even if we push forward we didn’t really make a mark on the game, even with the game tenuous deserve to beat us comfortably2-0 at the least I can only cheer them on during this tournament but we really didn’t show up which was disappointing for us, FairPlay to Denmark hopefully they go far ill be cheering them on
Denmark were certainly the better team after the first 20 mins and deservedly won despite the worst referee performance of the euros so far! Unfortunately after Denmark made the tactical formation switch and we didn't have a plan B to turn too. I'm still not sure that last goal is onside 😅 but didn't really make a difference. Very proud of the team for getting as far as they did, such a shame how poor the competition was set out that not many fans could get to any games, would have helped our performances.
Denmark simply want to win this tournament more than the teams they are facing, more power to them. As an English supporter I can already see us facing the same fate as Wales on Tuesday against Germany.

What a performance by the Danes today gutted that Wales couldn't do it tonight. Actually think Denmark would be the favorites against the Netherlands.
