Danny Boy: Mick Lynch singing with the lovely Lobstermen of Stonington, Maine

8/18/2013 We were invited to "church" by our wonderful friend Loring Kydd who we were staying with for a few days prior to our yearly summer trip up to Stonington where we meet with our main group of friends. Mick isn't usually one for early mornings but the promises of good folks jamming (and Lobstermen at that!) was too much to resist. Sorry for the bit of chatter so close to the camera there but a lovely woman didn't realize that I was recording when she started talking to me about wanting to visit Ireland. No matter, these are Mick's favorite places to sing. The "non-precious" spaces filled with good chatter and the spirit of great people. Most of the time I sat back on a pile of ropes and buoys that morning as I watched the song session. To this day that Sunday goes down in the books as one of our favorite days. Hope to meet all you wonderful people again soon. Our thanks again to Loring & Dick Bridges who brought us together. You people are the true gems of the world and we can't wait to do it again!
