    Definitely makes working with microtonic and the tonic more fun. Always learning about cool new things from your channel. Congrats on that big 18k milestone!

    The creator of this (Magnus Lidstrom) also created the cow effect for the OP-1, and the Malstrom synth for the Reason daw.

    Patternarium is awesome. I found it last year when I bought my PO-32 and did the exact scenario with the Microtonic and discount you talked about. So worth it!

    Lol I just started diving into this the other day and hell yeah it is great! Every time I dive into this VST I am reminded that the Tonic is one of the best budget synths ever created. Sooo versatile!

    I had no idea it was all generative. That’s nuts.

    I recently just purchased Microtonic. I wasn't sure at first if it would be worth it, and it's a very old VST, but it's very unique and versatile. And now they have the newer 'Beatspace' tool that plugs right into Microtonic - which is similar to Patternarium, but has many more features.

      Yeah Beatspace is amazing!

    You say there are 16 sounds in po-32 kit, but really you can get 32 by adjusting the left right thing in microtonic before loading onto the PO 32, so I have a drum kit that is an 808 and a 909, one is loaded into slots 1-8 on the left side, and the other on the right side. this way I can pick which drum I want it to be using the knobs on the pocket operator, and often in the situation I just described i choose a spot between the two kits that sounds nice and roll with it.
    also I noticed last night you can import more than one pattern that you have made on the computer in microtonic onto the po if you chain the patterns together on the computer, it will let you import those all onto the PO. i thought that was kinda neat

    Does this work on PO33?

    • @alex-r-t
      @alex-r-t 2 года назад +1

      I think it's really meant for the PO32 and PO35 (since they can shape the kit directly on the device), but you could potentially sample straight from Patternarium or Microtonic via your computer into your PO33

    • @TrickmanTerry
      @TrickmanTerry 2 года назад +1

      No, but you can on the PO-35 since it has one instance of drums on one pattern (I think it's #16).

    Fun tool for sure. I am surprised every time I see your large hands on the small PO's though. Won't it hurt after a while?

    Are you able to save kits to the PO 32 and have a bank of interchangeable preset kits?

    What is the benefit ? In using the Tonic Hardware?

    • @TylerWoodisawesome
      @TylerWoodisawesome Год назад

      it's portable, easily tweakable, and the experience of using it on a PO is unique with punching in effects and quickly creating and saving patterns, etc.. I often use a PO as accompaniment when playing guitar
