Thank you so much for posting this. The instruction manual did not show the caps. No reference to it online at all, not even on the Q&A portion from the vendor I bought it. This video saved my ass since when I turned off the pump, it started to leak.
Thanks for this video! When I put the cap on I got nervous because the water flow seemed so low. But it looks like it's normal and the flow just seems higher when it's off due to the bubbles.
Considering adding this to my pool but my only concern is that the water level in the pool is higher than the air valves location outside of the pool which will cause it to leak until the water is level with the air valve. I'm wondering if that black cap would seal it when the pump is not in use and keep it from leaking.
I have a somewhat unrelated question but desperately need help! I can't unscrew the inlet valve so I can hook up my robotic intex vacuum cleaner. I try to leave it loosely screwed on so it's easier to get off but I may have accidentally screwed it too tight in the clockwise direction. Now I can't get it to budge and it's leaking at the liner opening. I've noticed that if you overtighten some of the intex parts with gaskets, it crushes the gasket and compromises the seal. I just can't get enough of a grip to turn it. Help!
I have seen someone use an oil filter pliers with belt tensioner to loosen valves and parts around the sand filter pump. The strap is made of soft material (leather usually) and does the least damage. That's the best answer I can give you, but I will not take any responsibility.
@@MortenWork Ha! Thanks for getting back to me. It finally came off this morning after I tied one of my leather belts to the outside so it wouldn't turn...talk about a hillbilly solution. It worked but with all of the fiddling around, the set up on the outside of the pool came loose so water everywhere. I've now backwashed/waste down below the inlet valve so I can see how to remedy the issue.
The correct connection when you pump water into your pool is that it must be done from the highest point. This is done to spare the pump as much as possible, as the water pressure is too high further down.
I found that if your hose has some air in it right below the air jet valve it won’t leak but if the hose has no air in it below the valve water is pushed up through that valve causing a leak from the top where air is supposed to go in
Hi, know you physical difference between Intex 12366, Pool Inlet Air Adapter 300 GPH max. system flow rate Intex 12367, Pool Inlet Air Adapter 500 GPH max. system flow rate Intex 12368, Pool Inlet Air Adapter 1000 GPH max. system flow rate Valve is always same. You have 1000 version, but i not sure, what is exact physical difference :-)) smaller hole? Tnx.
Hi Intex uses two sizes on all their hoses. Either 32 mm or 38 mm. Intex 12368 is for 38 mm hose connection. They use on pools with large 38 mm inlets and outputs and for the large Intex Sandfilter pumps, which use 38 mm hose. Intex 12367 fits pump Intex 28604 which is hose size 32 mm. Intex 12366 also fits 32 mm. I would think that both adapters can handle a capacity between 300 and 500 GPS flow rate and as such again have a difference in design. But the bigger the hose you use ex. 38 mm larger flow you get through. "You can see my upgrade video for 38 mm hose where I have also upgraded my Sand Filter to 38 mm" The pump I upgraded to is Intex 26652 Sand filter pump 38 mm and hose connections set Intex 26005 intended for pumps with 1900-2500GPH. If you choose to upgrade for you really a good throughput on your pool and really much air your larger Air Adapter. Have fun here is the link. Thank you for this. The Intex pump instructions are terrible. i found this video because as we speak I was trying to figure out how to install it

Mine leaks when it’s off then I have to place the cap. What am I doing wrong?
@@chuckgarza8513 when the filter is off you have to place the cap on or else it leaks. When the filter is on you have to remove the cap
Ok thank you
Thanks for posting this! My air valve was leaking a little and I didnt know what that black thing was for.
Awesome video thank you so much I had no idea now my other question is there’s two black plugs for the other outlets do I keep those in as well
Only one plug and you only need one :)
Thanks for this video! When I put the cap on I got nervous because the water flow seemed so low. But it looks like it's normal and the flow just seems higher when it's off due to the bubbles.
Hard to answer. Maybe your pump is too small or it needs cleaning
It never crossed my mind to use that plug to stop the water flow to take the hose off
Amazing thank you!

There is a return block in the valve so the water can not run back and out of the pool if you stop the pump.
So is the black plug supposed to be in the air adapter or no ?
Esteban Medina yes, it’s suppose be there. Remove it or loosen it for the air to flow.
Hi does anyone know how to plug the 2 outlets when closing pool for the winter?
Super god video
Tak Jakob :)
Thank you!
Can I leave the plug on for the air flow or does it matter?
Have you seen my second video on how to mount the Intex air Adapter: ruclips.net/video/j8qV2vWvyRE/видео.html
Do you know what would cause there to be no airflow? My air jet valve doesn’t blow bubbles?
Hello, the same thing happened to me and what happened was that the filter was changed
Felipe Álvarez aha yea I worked that out the other day. Once I cleaned the filter, the bubbles started working again.
So do I take off the black piece when my filter is running or leave it on?
When your pump is running, remove the black plug to achieve the bubble effect
Is that hydro aeration working? I mean is water better quality than except this?
The more oxygen you add to your water, the less chemicals you need to add - theoretically
@@MortenWork thank you summer season coming soon:)

I saw on another video to leave cap on the lower hose, and off on the upper. Is this correct ?

@@MortenWork but what about the black cap that goes on air jet valve. Does it get removed on upper hose and stay on lower?
I have no knowledge of dual connection, so I can not answer your question.
Thanks
When pump is off, Any idea what would cause water to leak out top of air jet value? Rubber band is good. When pump Is on it does not leak at all.
Then there is probably a defect in the Air Jet Valve. Intex spare part no. 12363 which you can buy separately.
I found that if your hose has some air in it right below the air jet valve it won’t leak but if the hose has no air in it below the valve water is pushed up through that valve causing a leak from the top where air is supposed to go in
My air flow thing has water leaking from the top
Mine doesn’t really work i comes on and off like and its not plugged any ideas?
