The Wings album was definitely when I went full conspiracy theorist. I was seeing symbols and meanings everywhere, making playlists to figure out the sequence of events. I had to stop after the Love Yourself series. No more theories for me 😄
This song is actually based off of Herman Hesse's novel called Demian. It's about good vs evil, losing innocence and falling into temptation (and a bit of psychology) so we ARMYS had to read books to understand what this entire album meant because it's basically like a story which connects all of their songs in that album haha (the album is called Wings). Loved the reaction! 💜💜
I'm in the process of reading that novel. RM's book list is so refined, so in depth. I have 3 of his other books he recommends. The explanation video is great also for those that like to know the history behind BTS's MV.
It's interesting that you've heard resemblance of some beats of Blood Sweat & Tears to Ed Sheeran's Shape of you. If in case it wasn't mentioned yet, Ed co-wrote a song for BTS. It's called Make It Right 😄 (And btw had to mention it as well, BS&T was released a year earlier than Shape of You)
@@timberslogs9096 don't worry, everybody has been through it , when you know tha everything of bts have a meaning , but you don't know the meaning, sorry for my English 😋

Even if we can simply listen to the song, knowing what it means is such a pleasure for me. It becomes my mind and soul workout. 💜
I m currently reading Demian .... The story heavily centers aroud 2 realms - the "good" realms of innocennce, childhood, love...and "bad"realm - temptation, lies and violence.the story is so far about the main character realizing the evil realm inside him, questioning himself , God and the world..but soon realizing he is not evil, nor saint, he is human ...so far the book is about finding yourself in a world where so many people try to define you before you are even born. And the road takes you through both good and the bad realm to find you true self.

I certainly didn’t realize I would become a professional student by becoming an ARMY (the name of BTS’s fandom). But the BU (BTS Universe, story line that winds through their MVs), is compelling. It reminds me of the tv show Lost. Lost had many storylines, theories, and off-air content that made it feel interactive. BTS is doing the same thing here. This hooks us in and gets us anticipating what’s next. We talk theories and develop an eagle eye to digest all the possible clues. This is a master class on how to build a fan base, create interesting & interactive content, video filming & editing (with a major in dance videography), introduction to multiple music genres, a master class in dancing, a focus on psychology, mythology, Korean history, fiction works, art history, social justice... Did I forget anything else?! Whew!

This song about losing innocence to evil temptation. When Jin kissed the winged statue, the evil inside him awaken. And his face (persona) cracked to reveal the shadow inside him.
The quote that RM was saying when Jin is letting go of the balloon is, *"He too was a tempter; he, too, was a link to the second, the evil world with which I no longer wanted to have anything to do."* From the book “Demian” by Herman Hesse. It's about an older man looking and reflecting on his childhood, giving reasons and analysis as to why he acted in certain ways in different situations. Jin letting go of the balloon MIGHT BE symbolic as to him letting go of his innocence and finally succumbing to temptation. That's why you can see him kissing the winged statue in the next scene, which MIGHT be the devil.
Linda This is just my theory. I think Taehyung already gave in to the temptation that’s why he’s represented as “fallen angel”.. meaning, he’s already fallen into the temptations and he was also trying to tempt the other members that’s why he smirked when Jin gave in.
BTS uses Hermann Hesse's book Demian as inspiration, basically their entire discography uses this story as a concept. The most important thing to keep in mind when interpreting BTS songs is that they cannot be seen as something real that is happening in time, because their concept is too surreal to see it that way. So the way to interpret it is through dreams and there is a reason for this. It turns out that Hermann Hesse was strongly inspired by Car Jung's analytical psychology. Jung's analytical psychology is a school of modern psychotherapy and something that characterizes psychotherapy is the analysis of dreams, which are not literal at all. In this way it is explained that BTS videos when viewed without a specific context and order do not make sense to be able to analyze them.
I know you’re gonna sit on the symbolism of Blood sweat and tears, but just to get you started: overall it’s a story of temptation and growing out of innocence
Yeah, when I saw that bit I was like: No, you definitely don’t get it. But that’s ok, you’re in good company, no one gets it the first time with no prior knowledge. And BTS MVs are usually deep enough that you’ll catch new things even if you’ve watched it many times before simply by focusing on other things.

Well, I know he plays the piano really well. But in this scene he isn't playing. You can notice it watching his hands. While he's "playing", piano keys are not pushed
@@chimchim6197 That's because it's an organ and the action is different. Not sure he is playing that piece (it's a particularly difficult organ piece) but he is playing something. Not sure if he is using the pedals though.

Ah, I'm so glad you enjoyed this one! In my opinion, it's one of their best music videos (and songs too, hehe). As far as albums to react to, I'd recommend Tear as it's considered one of their best albums and it explores a lot of different sounds for them... they also have Map of the Soul: 7, which is their latest, but as it references a lot of their older work I'd recommend getting to it later on... oh, and one more thing! I think you'd really benefit from having the lyrics with you when you're watching the music videos because they're hardly ever not connected in some way. Anyways, great video!
"Oh I get it....I think....yeah... Yeah, I don't get it." You have no idea, buddy. There is a whole connected universe within their latest albums and it's crazy. I love them. (Very similar to TOP in that way but completely different.)
I know that you kinda react to the sound of the music as a producer, but it would be great if you read the lyrics as well. Music videos usually have English captions you can switch on, or if it's too much to keep track of at the same time, you can read translations online. Their lyrivs are sobpoetic and go so deep and the best part about their music. :) And you have no idea how deep their music and mvs are haha
Is he though? It's kinda irking to me when he can't explain something he says "kinda like...certain artist..." I know music is music but there's unpredictable mastery then there's what Everybody else does, just saying. There might be a perceived order in how songs are put together but BTS follows no one even if it is the norm.
@@mpgisbtsarmybaefighting2838 it's annoying when he is comparing their music to another artists like idk it's offending me like NO they aren't like other artists i never heard anything like that (their music) in my life and im not even a real army cuz i never tried to understand those bindings between songs and all cuz i lack ambition and my brain is to small to get all this but yeah noone is ever going to be a match for them even if i dont know all the story
Please react to Black Swan. One of their masterpieces. Lyrics are simply beautiful. There’s also a variety of performances with their choreography that elevates the song even further.
That was great. They do have so much symbolism in their songs and videos that we need to watch multiple times. Their new MV for the song ON is still something I don't completely understand. I enjoy hearing from you why I like the song and what my ears are wanting and how it fits.
Pentatonix just released a new EP! It’s called At Home, and it is really impressive because they created it without actually meeting each other (due to quarantine), and it is A Capella! It’s so great!
Enjoyed your reaction. Please react to Daechwita by Agust D (Suga's recent solo release) the song and the mv are both amazing. It's also really interesting because he uses traditional Korean instruments.
YOU SHOULD DO THEIR ALBUM CALLED "love yourself : tear" . ONE OF MY FAVORITES FOR SURE!!! and also their most recent album called "map of the soul : 7"
I would recommend you to react to "map of the soul: 7" as it's their latest album (came out earlier this year) I think before reacting to it though, you have to research a little bit about what map of the soul is, because it's quite a complex theory. There is this psychologist/philosopher that came up with it, named Carl Jung (student of the famous Freud philosopher). You can do that either beforehand, to get to know the basics or, you can actually combine it with your album reaction as there are explanation videos for the 3 more important parts of it ( Persona, Shadow, Ego). I would recommend the "explained by a Korean" videos (they're in Eng). BTS's albums are NO JOKE. They always have a storyline and they always try to tell/teach you something. This specific album has 20 songs with each member having a solo song and all kinds of combinations of members doing other songs. As a die hard Pink Floyd fan, the concept albums that they do reminded me of PF. Even though the music is obviously very different, there is unbelievable attention to detail, and they also give you the feeling that they don't do music just for the shake of it, but they speak through it. This album is quite special to them as 2020 is their 7 year anniversary (hence the 7 part) and they are 7 of them ( hence 7 solo songs from each one). All of the guys are generally deeply involved into the music making processes (writing lyrics, melodies and even producing - especially the rappers), but this album is actually extra personal and it tells all their stories.

Can you react to BTS’ album WINGS? Also what happened to the reaction video to LY:Tear? It’s not there anymore? I really like the reaction video you did for it 😢
whether you’re a new army or not, please don’t take the “who is bts” introduction videos as fact. Yes namjoon writes a good chunk of their lyrics (e.g. 80% of MOTS:Persona) and yoongi is an amazing producer, but the numbers are outdated or too blown up. listen to what they say in their own vlives if you can
Rm taked more part on the lyrics rather than the production part and 90% is too much sincd he doesn't do it alone lol. 300 songs a year...at least not anymore, he said he has been working less lately
he is more involved with lyrics than production. i think the 90% came from his live where he spoke about his contribution to the lyrics of mots persona. to address another reply i don’t think 90% is too much, given what he said, but perhaps if was a little less for 7 given how much more the vocal line contributed. obvi hobi & yoongi writing most of their verses. if you look at the credits in the album booklet you can see the producers written outside the brackets and songwriters written (lyrics, composition, etc) inside them, i think this is where the confusion comes from.
Sir if you don't mind..... May I ask what kind of genre of music you produce...... And what are the names your best and latest productions. I'm really anxious to know.....
Also there are loads of theory videos n explanations for bts videos. There is so so much going on. It’s incredible. I warn you though. You’ll click a video ‘just to find out a bit more’ and then you’ll find yourself well and truly down the rabbit hole and there’s no escape! I mean this in a good way. Best thing you’ll ever do tbh
Trying to choose one BTS album to start with is like picking faves among your kids but Imma go ahead and request in Love Yourself: Tear BUT you have to do it with lyrics from doolset lyrics or genius. No lyric videos.
You say you love 'art history', but you failed to see all the symbolism, different statues, pictures and the word meaning (not sure you had your captions even on). Please react to Map of the Soul : 7 album and Love yourself : tear album. Also is your captions on when you react to mvs ? 😂 Just asking
blake: I get it
me smirking: no you don't
*NO ONE DOES*
Except BTS
blood sweat and tears was a literal cultural reset and im so glad because this was the reason i got into kpop
for a person who doesn't know bts i'd definitely recommend love yourself: tear and wings
"Oh I get it....I think....yeah... Yeah, I don't get it."
You have no idea, buddy. There is a whole connected universe within their latest albums and it's crazy. I love them.
(Very similar to TOP in that way but completely different.)
yess!! if he liked twenty one pilots' universe he's gonna LOVE bts' universe!!
:) And you have no idea how deep their music and mvs are haha
agree! that’s the thing that I noticed about his vid reaction too
YES
also protip for the next kpop mv you react to, turn on the subtitles in english and you can understand the lyrics!
Him: “got to think about it”
Me: He is coming to this fandom guys. He is coming... once u got caught on something you will never get out of it
Once you Jim in, you can't Jim Out
There's no end to this loop 😎
Im 111th like, hi 🤗
“YOU NEVER WALK ALONE” is the album this song is from and omgggg pls react to ittt. Some of their best work 😳
This song is from Wings.
I was about to say the same thing this is from wings
It's from both album wings and you never walk alone
It's the title track of the Wings album
4:20 when Blood Sweat & Tears was released 5 months before Shape of You 👀
Blake thanks for feeding ARMYs so well😆🙏🏻 💜
" i get it "
" no i don't get it"
That's literally me when I first watch Blood Sweat and Tears MV 😂
Can you react to "Fake love" and "On" these songs are amazing
4:21 no... Shape of you is super BST. Shape of you is from 2017, Blood, sweat and tears is from 2016. ..
You definitely need to hear their LOVE YOURSELF : TEAR, or their newest MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 !!! it’s a masterpiece i swear
Can you review Wings album?? Has a lot of history behind those videos !!!!! Please react to the short film’s too
react to their album “map of the soul: 7”
Yessss
Pentatonix just released a new EP! It’s called At Home, and it is really impressive because they created it without actually meeting each other (due to quarantine), and it is A Capella! It’s so great!
You should do fashion videos! I love your clothes and I really want to know where you got that shirt! Love your videos!!
Thanks for not overreacting and faking your reactions
WE NEED K-12 OR CRYBABY BY MELANIE MARTINEZ PLEASEEE
YES

YES!!!!!
ONE OF MY FAVORITES FOR SURE!!!
and also their most recent album called "map of the soul : 7"
you know i feel like this guy is always waiting until the exact time the beat drops to pause. :\
Tbh I keep skipping XD
I would recommend you to react to "map of the soul: 7" as it's their latest album (came out earlier this year)
I think before reacting to it though, you have to research a little bit about what map of the soul is, because it's quite a complex theory.
Do you think you can react to Stray Kids Gods Menu??? or any Stray Kids song really, All their songs are self produced as well!!
Please react to "Black Swan "This song is their new song this year, and it is well made
Btw one of the members played the piano. He is also a producer.
please react to BTS Love Yourself Tear album, it's incredible!
You should definitely do their most recent album: map of the soul: 7 just cause there’s different genres in this album!!!
please react to their album "Love yourself: tear"
you should react to
- map of the soul: 7
- love yourself trilogy (her/tear/answer)
- wings
- dark&wild
- the most beautiful moment in life pt1/pt.2

React to Nicki Minaj The Pinkprint Album Deluxe
Yess
masterpiece
Great album
Yesssss
Everyone has given great recommendations, but I just want to point out how fantastic your ears are. that ear training is amazing!
That is a gift and you sir, are making good use of it!
btw, their lyrics play a huge part in the experience of their songs so i'd suggest you turn on the captions when watching their official mvs and also get some lyrics to refer to when you review their album. love your reactions!!
you should definitely check out their full album Wings, Love Yourself: Tear or the latest one Map of The Soul: 7. they have many others but these are just so so so good, their golden albums. i recommend the Love Yourself: Tear for starters
heyyyy we need “Kid Krow” by Conan Gray!!!
I am also new to the Kpop genre. One thing that attracted me was the quality of their MV. i am a very visual person. So i may not like a song, but once i see the video, then ill like it... if that makes sense. With BTRS, i fell down teh rabit hole LOL!

And you already know Stray kids. :D
Will you react to the "After Hours" album by The Weeknd, and watch the music videos too????
Can you react to BTS’ album WINGS? Also what happened to the reaction video to LY:Tear? It’s not there anymore? I really like the reaction video you did for it 😢
RM has produced over 90% of BTS’ songs and Suga produces and writes over 300 songs a year
whether you’re a new army or not, please don’t take the “who is bts” introduction videos as fact.
Blood, Sweat, & Tears is about good and evil leading into temptation ~
Also there are loads of theory videos n explanations for bts videos. There is so so much going on. It’s incredible. I warn you though. You’ll click a video ‘just to find out a bit more’ and then you’ll find yourself well and truly down the rabbit hole and there’s no escape! I mean this in a good way. Best thing you’ll ever do tbh
React to glory days by little mix!
Trying to choose one BTS album to start with is like picking faves among your kids but Imma go ahead and request in Love Yourself: Tear BUT you have to do it with lyrics from doolset lyrics or genius. No lyric videos.
Please react to Map Of The Soul 7 and Love Yourself: Tear
You should react to trap pleaseee 💕 Like Duki, C.R.O, Cazzu, Bhavi, Khea, Neo Pistea 🥰🥰
for BTS album review please do their latest album "Map of the Soul: 7"
Please react to ON Kinetic Manifesto Film and Black Swan videoooooooo!
As a directioner and an army, this channel is blessing me.
You say you love 'art history', but you failed to see all the symbolism, different statues, pictures and the word meaning (not sure you had your captions even on). All you heard was the music production. Take another look, and look around for more enjoyment and uniqueness of the entire production. Good vs Evil, the choices we make and consequences.
me: knows nothing about producing music
also me: uh huh yeah tru
If you liked this MV. Please check out Fake Love and Black Swan. Prepare yourself to be more amazed by their art :)
