@@Kteeee So what is your experience in what's being taught in school? Let me guess you are probably just a parent. CRT isn't even real and it's just the teaching of history.
@@Kteeee "A mom of 4 with a high school education living in Maryland may not have studied critical race theory in law school but she definitely knows when something is bad for her kids" No, being a parent does not give you magical psychic abilities to know whether something is bad for your kids or not without even needing to understand what it is. Parents are as fallible about their kids' education (and for that matter parenting itself) as any other human is about any other subject. They make mistakes, and can be wrong. This includes being wrong about whether something is good or bad for their own children, and it happens all the goddamn time. Dude, I'm a schoolteacher myself, and this is by far the saddest thing that ever happens in my work life--a kid struggling to succeed in school because the biggest obstacle to their success is their own parents. Sometimes it's toxic, abusive parents. Sometimes it's parents who just don't give a shit. Other times it's parents who are trying to "do what's best" but are fanatically devoted to some ignorant-ass nonsense belief about what that actually means, to the point where they refuse to listen to any kind of rational, objective input showing why what they're doing is actually harmful. Like, trust me, the world is chock full of stupid-as-fuck parents who don't have a damn clue about what their children really need or will actually benefit from. So I have no sympathy for this line of reasoning. Like in any other sphere of life, people should either put in the effort to actually know what they're talking about, or just shut the fuck up.
And the joke is on point because this "critical race theory" shit is just media-driven, engineered panic anyway. People are talking out their asses about it without bothering to find out what it is because they're just obediently getting mad about whatever Tucker Carlson (or some other talking-head dipshit on TV) tells them to be mad about at any given moment.

But not very funny. Mockery is cheap. It would've been funnier if she had some weird idea of what it was. That line was just stupid, not even a joke really.

@@Kteeee "A mom of 4 with a high school education living in Maryland may not have studied critical race theory in law school but she definitely knows when something is bad for her kids"
No, being a parent does not give you magical psychic abilities to know whether something is bad for your kids or not without even needing to understand what it is.
