Gold is a long term store of wealth and I hate that I get wrapped up in daily RUclips videos on what it is doing.
Agreed, Its easy to fall into the trap of following the rice day to day instead of dollar cost averaging into our positions like normal.

Gold is also swing tradeable. I have made over 800% this year swing trading gold and silver. Don't get caught up in catchy saying like "gold is a long term store of wealth".

I went a little overboard with gold purchases in January. I spent more than two years of my gold purchasing budget in one bulk purchase. What a happy surprise it has been for this year so far.

If you are saving for gold I would buy the etf phys and buy it there. Cost average in and sell and buy physical when you have enough to do so.

Agree with what you were saying how the US treasury isn’t buying gold because it would essentially signal to the world that the gold is more valuable than the dollar
Which is pretty funny when one thinks it over. Gold IS more valuable than the US$ and always has been. The "value" of the US$ has been declining for decades.
A $20 gold piece was once worth $20 and now it is worth $2350 or so if it is of no special interest to collectors and much more if it is. Sounds a lot like gold
for the win... and Asians are pretty smart to be buying it hand over fist.
