You can replace buildings with alt + click, there's a tip for it in the tenant farmer step, but they never actually make you do it to progress. 44:40 The new anti-truancy PSA. Exact same pacing and tone, just slip it in between random commercials. I'd definitely be up for more of this, I picked it up and starting playing half way through video. Turning off the tutorial and just kinda building is pretty fun. I'd say that even without other specific challenges there's going down the three win paths (You're on path of production). Nifty thing in the settings, there's an option after you've actually loaded in to your city to show all locked buildings. Definitely more UI cluttered, but it means you can work towards something way down the line.
Coming back to this after finishing the first area, the other worlds aren't just a little environment change, they straight up change the mechanics. There are both buildings and resources that are area restricted. I would definitely watch you trying out the other areas.
Idk if you already realized but one of the tutorials explained that you can overbuild other stuff by holding Alt, like you were wishing it did by default.
the meaning of life is a stupid question. Put specifics into it and this becomes more clear. What is the meaning of a dog? A dog is life, so what is the meaning of it? The question is nonsense, why would life have a meaning? What does meaning even mean in such a vague context? Purpose? What is our purpose for existing? We exist because self replicating forms are more likely to exist over time than non self replicating forms. What is the function of life? To self replicate. Does that satisfy this stupid question? Can humanity finally move on. Just because a question doesnt have a clear answer doesnt make it profound. What is the meaning of red? Do we deserve to exist? In the sense of physical dominance yes. Is it good that we exist? I mean, by whose sense of morality, our own? I think yes, by definition it must be good that the self exists from the perspective of their own moral system, or their moral system is malfunctioning because its really just there to facilitate group survival
Have you ever played Songs of Syx? It's a colony management sim like Dwarf Fortress, except you eventually build a small Empire with thousands of people.
I'm glad that you're doing these vods. I love seeing your process of learning and playing a game, you have a unique perspective and always can "find the fun" in the most creative ways! Keep up the great work man, I learn something new every time I watch a video of yours.
51:00 "What is this crap in the middle of here? Is this... doo doo? Or is this like phantom boat doo doo?" 🤣🤣🤣 In the middle of a rant about classism YOU ARE KILLING ME MAN.
Mr. Amphibian I started watching you because I felt that our similar names created a sense of brotherhood. 17:20 Your stance on puns has really cemented that fact for me my brother.
Rad. Thanks for sharing. I'm so in love with this! Especially the first person mode. Have no idea why lmao. I think you said "Lorax" more than you did "puzzle-solving elements" or whatever. Either way, I drank for sure hahaha. 32:20 Closest I can get on the math is the average of the parenthetical happiness scores (43 divided by 6 for all five types plus policies) = 7.16667 plus the 0.5 (maybe a blind 0.59?????????) = 7.66667 rounded up = 7.7 and maybe that rounds to an even 7.8..? Who knows? Not me. 33:40 you are my bridge over troubled work and homelife anxiety 💜
I haven't checked if you've already played it but I'm gonna comment anyway before the thought leaves my head - ever played Gnomoria? Or Towns. Isometric stuff just activates my almonds u feel me?
i wouldn't call anarchism or libertarianism left or right wing.. most left wing anarchists are not anarchists at all such as black block who are violent authoritarians... still interesting game and i really like the art style but it seems to lack social actions eg crimes etc and happiness seems to have limited interactions out side the rebel mechanic
If you like city builders with strong puzzle mechanics, and problem solving, you should try out Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. It's incredibly challenging to get a grip on though, be warned
I think Voxel aesthetics can work - it allows for greater visual consistency than sprite work - see Sim City having granular rotations and zooms. However, I think the main issue is that voxel work doesn't always take the individual asset to the same level of detail - the Sim City 4 buildings have a lot of visual noise and detail that aren't replicated in say, here.
the ruins level is pure pain, i have no CLUE how to accurately repair the ruined farms in a consistent way, youre building iron mines in a weird pattern, i legit never thought of trying to put 2 mines per deposit, i just go ham on making houses, tho i have not figured out the most efficient pattern of house to road ratio.
I love how a car magically appears as soon as you place a road.
Oh wow, what a perfect, one take intro with no mistakes or do overs! He is too powerful

"Take a shot every time I say 'puzzle-like elements'"
Gonna have to decline that challenge, Rob. I like my liver.
City building asmr. Nice.
I think you can put the vilas next to each other

The fact you named CPP and Kibitz just made you so much cooler. Ive been watching them both for years!

Amazon! Oh, I mean, amazing! Another long video to get me falling asleep.
During this VOD I downloaded the prologue and ended up buying this game. Was very nice listening to you talk about the game while playing on the side.
where are the timestamps mysteriousfrog? /j thank you for the VOD
Thank you! - Totally forgot that - just fixed - I think a reload should make them appear now if you're wondering :)
@@ambiguousamphibianvods Try Alt + click while building over buildings. It will build over buildings without having to delete them.
You're welcome!
A non-capitalistic city builder would require non-humans.
...and instead of everyone winning, everyone loses aside those in-charge :)
Your videos bring so much happiness to my dull and lonely life. Thank you
"I too love ya man, he changed my life."
That was so quick and seamless, it's almost like he paid someone to set it up. Brilliant frog.
A non capitaslistic city buiklder is a cool concept. Though, lol, imagine all the marxist critiques you'll get when releasing it lmao.
One could argue that Banished falls into that category.
oh sips is going to love this
Why is this amphibian so ambiguous?
I got Urbek along with the Spider-Man game. I started up Urbek to wait for Spider-Man to install. 5 hours passed and I was still playing Urbek.
Thank you for your content and the comfort it brings!
You could have said "punbelievably good at puns." You have much more to learn, young polliwog.
Do you call yourself Ambiguous Amphibian, because you sound a bit like Kermit?
"Hmm..."

This games shows that project zomboid could be played in first person
Really liked watching, Please play more of this! Super pretty to watch.
help i bought this game after i watched this stream and i have 60 hours on the game already and i’ve owned the game for a week now
Me, listening to this on my way to Kohls: Hmm.
Introspective
think it would really be minor iron miner. commenting mainly for eng4gement.

I'm almost positive that's not how you pronounce Agricola
Wow..... did Urbek morph out of an old Apple computer game called City of Rama?
livestream when you play. It'd be nice
Great timing for 2 hours of frog citybuilding
can we buy Urbek on imac or iphone?
I've been wondering if you were going to play this, AA. I've been having fun with this one.
"a condominium is a place where a single person lives" oh AA, and i thought you were a clever frog. did you drop your latin in the pond again?
Iron Miner Minor. *shakes head* Alright that was funny.
so puzzle-y city-builder? closer to Caesar and other old-school city builders then I pressume
I think you'd enjoy songs of syx a lot
How do I request a game there’s one I would play and struggling with so much and would love to see how he plays it - Caesar 3
Not Minecraft - CubeWorld, much rather.
Oh man. What that game could have been, I remember vaguely.
England: Football Pitch
America: Empty Lot/Soccer Field
This is such an ASMR
A city builder that isn’t capitalist? Well Frostpunk would fit that :)
What darling vehicles.
Mine craft and ubrek, i thought it was mindbreak for second
kinda reminds me of Rise Of industry. have you checked that ?
1:11:34 I love how the car just duplicated itself ... xDD
Love these games, also cool to see ur personality on stream. Keep it up king.
reminds me of ottd
Iron miner minor 🤣
29:48 "Gentrification indeed. Based." LOL
33:45 RCE: "It's time for a bridge review"
I ended up playing the demo twice xD
A car ran a stop size! Unsafe.
non capitalistic citybuilder? Uhm Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic ? :D
But I find it super hard to become self-sufficient in it!
0:05 dont worry i got time my friend
Iron miner minor... UGH 😆
one step closer to openttd
I’m early af let’s go
Lets gooooo finally
loved the game
I do like the voxel style, I think games like the Cube World Alpha did it really, really well. It's hit or miss though.
I would love seeing another series of Factorio!
I think Voxel aesthetics can work - it allows for greater visual consistency than sprite work - see Sim City having granular rotations and zooms.

So does anyone else spend their days off with a vodka tonic watching AA's long vods?

I’m starting to get tired of “nostalgia”
Can we get new things?
No, because it's easier to milk old things, the value of "I recognize thing!" is too strong.
It's always fascinating to see an ancom and ancap argue about which is the real "anarchism"
hong bong big boy

5:30 "You saw the seeds before, there are seeds again now in the field."
It's cute how little you know. I like that though.
