Bidirectional Forwarding Detection

- In this video, Charles looks at the topic of Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD). BFD is a lightweight UDP-based protocol used for fast forwarding path failure detection. He discusses the advantages of BFD over traditional protocol timers, and looks at a configuration example with OSPF.

Super explanation. I have a question, does the bfd timers (e.g. 50msec) should be same on both the neighbors? (R1 & R2 in this case?). OR R1 can have 50ms and R2 can have 70ms?

Thankyou charles! By the way i have done simulated from GNS 3 and eve-ng with IOU L3 , when i was fail over test, there's no impact of BFD feature. Just 4 sec down time with / not BFD. There's someone can help me?
