Thank you so much for this video!! I’ve been studying for my DevNet Associate certification, and have had the biggest challenge wrapping my head around this topic. Your video really helped meget a better understanding… And simplified what NETCONF & YANG really are. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tuto! I work on O-RAN radio which use netconf, thanks for the pointer to Cisco Devnet and Github repo, as a developer nothing better than to look at sample codes 8-)
Lol on the comment "XML is very readable" @ 16:10. Raw xml is not readable and I've noticed a lot of network devices don't output as nicely as the Cisco in this example. I'd also state that it looks like vendors are not universally following IETF standards and are developing individual flavors of Netconf to suit their needs. All in all its a good idea to try and get inter-platform functionality, but then again so was SNMP.
Every time I think that I might need to reference other sources before committing to Mr Wallace and his easy going explanation videos, I am proven oh so wrong.
I have a couple years automation experience from my previous role at Facebook but it’s nice to build upon my own foundation. I am way more savy on the Junos platform these days but it all started with Cisco.
which course/video you are referring here in the video that you have told in the previous videos. please point me to that video also, thanks for this great session.
I still dont understand the need for restconf or netconf! I manage 81 L2/L3 switches daily and can breeze thru any and multiple configs dynamically via the cli. Someone make this make sense? Whats its purpose? I dont see it!
You have been a blessing. You have simplified a lot of difficult concepts. Thanks Kevin

Netconf port for this lab is now 830 as of 18/05/2022 in the UK. Oustanding content as always
By far the best trainer in the networking industry, simplifying even programming that i hate to a level i can grasp
Brief and yet very effective to get the basic concept. Thank you Mr Kevin Wallace!
Best introduction tutorial for NETCONF that I have found so far. Thank you for the great content!
Excellent content again. The YANG before and after XML data structures at around 7 to 8mins is very informative and much easier to digest
That's wonderful Kevin!
Thank you very much. This vedio is clear, concise and easy to understand for beginners. Thanks.

Thus is some very cool stuff!
Thank you so much dad!
Very good. Thanks & congrats.
Where do I get information on dial in and dial out?
I followed the example, but it always return an empty rpc. Either there is a bug in that py script, or there's something wrong with that sandbox dvc.
I hated network automation until I saw Kevin's video, its like turning a chicken into nuggets for digesting
where this file is generated xml file? or where we can see that

Very good teacher
Great video !! ... could you make a video about configuring a Cisco router as a PPTP and L2TP client. Thanks
Well explained !!!!!
