I've been animating for just over 4 years and it feels like ive animated my whole life. At the same time it feels like its barely been any time at all! Animating and art is pretty much my only hobby, and it is my pride and joy (mostly the joy part, but im sure i've gotten a bit more prideful than I ought to have been at times) It's been afun journey and for all those who are near the start I just want to say, if you can find joy in the little parts of animation, the feeling of animating in and of itself, you'll get through! remember, dont compare yourself to others negatively, instead ANALYSE THEIR ANIMATIONS FOR WHAT MAKES THEM GOOD MUHAHAHHAA okay but yall, being honest here, the animaton I put at the end is from 2020, but its my favorite ........... I MEAN IT WAS LATE 2020....
I know age isn't everything but I've just gotta say I'm super impressed with how much you've achieved while still being so young. It's incredible seeing how much you've grown over the years and I hope you continue to enjoy this hobby for many more. It's easy to tell this is something you worked very hard to improve on and it definitely seems to have paid off. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
Amen! I’m currently sixteen (turning 17 next month) and am blown away by Sketch’s art. What adds to the impressiveness for me is the fact that they’re a year younger than I am and I don’t animate at all or draw dragons super duper well. But just goes to show how wildly people’s skill sets and hobbies can vary! (My main hobby atm is collecting Breyer horse models)
Far out sketch your improvement is insane! The lighting and animations are so smooth! I'm glad to have been with you from the start of you joining youtube and hope to see more of your wonderful projects in the future!
THERES NO WAY YOU ARE THE SAME AGE AS ME!! THATS SO COOL!! Seriously, your animations are INCREDIBLE. The movements, your style, the way you incorporate color and just the insane camera movements in your MAP parts and just WOW!! You really are incredible!! 💕💕
Holy shit this good in 4 years? God himself is being challenged. And 15? Im so glad younger people have access to materials and options now so we get to see this kind of skill.
you got the hang of things so fast!! ive just found your channel and i cant believe youve only been animating for a few years!!!! i love your action or power/magic scenes, i can see you take your time and put so much effort into your work!!
When your a SketchHope vet ‘~’ anyway this video is actually really cool because seeing the way you animate and stuff now, compared to 2018- it’s super satisfying
Your 15 or 16 I’m only 2-3 years younger than you…I’m twelve :^ great animation through the ages!!! It’s amazing to watch animation in my opinion and yours (don’t tell other animators) is my favorite so far :) keep animating and don’t get rid of that joy and part of you!
I also find it interesting! I particularly love how MAP parts affect a person's improvement rates. One of the hardest things in art is to actually get up and start AND to finish, but MAPs give you a nice short clip to work with, often with a script so it involves less thinking, and you have a deadline to finish right away! you get to practice all the skills from storyboarding to compositing, and I love it
sajdkasdk well it certainly helps that I started early, and I spent a whole year (2019) animating a 6 minute amv, which is a horrifying amount of time considering it took me 2 weeks to make a 2 minute amv more recently- but definitely getting up and animating at least twice a week for a year, and constantly pushing myself from my comfort zone was what really got me going^^ oh! and most of all a pure love for animation itself :)
actually, I dont get this question a lot! I'm completely self taught so for impacts and rock shattering I just searched the internet- I looked at a lot of howard wimshurst tutorials, it goes under the category of 'sakuga' animation so if you want to research how to do it you're better of researching with that word. Sakuga is pretty overarching for general impressive animation though, I recommend looking specifically at the technique called yutapon cubes - basically the way I learn is i go on the internet and search every question I have. The most important part of the process is attempting it! go out of your comfort zone! if you feel like the animation is bad, instead of feeling down immediately look for the reason and how to fix it^^ thats my style of learning! if you have any other questions feel free to ask them! I love answering questions (as long as theyre specific so theyre actually answerable, lol) I dont really know what to say when people ask me things like "how do you animate good" lmao;; but something like "what are some tips you have for making lip sync look better" then i have plenty! this comment quickly became really long omg.... have a nice day!
When I started animating at 11 I was animating for just the fun of it, but sometimes I wish that I had taken learning more seriously and gotten better really fast- but when I think about it the most important part is having fun! But if you want to start getting better at animation, there is no better place to start than lookung up the 12 principles of animation. its the foundation for all animators! I recommend watching the 12 principles of animation video by alan becker :D
ive been using so many different ones! I started with Krita and then moved on to adobe animate and photoshop occasionally and now I use CSP! (clip studio paint)

funny to think ive pretty much been animating for a 3rd of my miniscule human lifespan
I think your quality is very good! (You animate better than my mother... My mother is a comic artist)
yall when I opened that 2018 file yesterday to render it I legit almost died on the spot.
41 FPS. 41 FRAMES PER SECOND?????
So basically from normal to some of the best animation I’ve seen on RUclips and better than some big studios in a few years.

I absolutely love your style and I’ve always wanted to animate. I can’t do much now, but I really want to
Thankyou! and I wish you well on your art journey! I hope you can start animating soon :)
awesome dude! You've improved so much over the years not to mention the power that radiates off all your action sequences
you got the hang of things so fast!! ive just found your channel and i cant believe youve only been animating for a few years!!!! i love your action or power/magic scenes, i can see you take your time and put so much effort into your work!!
You are just a year older than me and you already so great at animation. Keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️

I think posting on sites like RUclips makes you improve faster since now you’re getting more exposure. I find it really interesting how that works
I also find it interesting! I particularly love how MAP parts affect a person's improvement rates. I’m sorry if you get this question a lot, but how did you learn to animate? Especially impact and rock shattering?
actually, I dont get this question a lot! What do you use to draw like a Wacom and also holy that much time to improve that much holy
I do in fact use a wacom! I use screenless, its a wacom intous art, medium size! First and only digital art tablet i've used^^ works like a charm
How are you that good at age 11, wow, im 11 years old and its my dream to become an animator :D

no? then click past.
(click ‘Read More’ for lyrics)
(so if i do i’ll find somebody soon..)
i’ll blow up into smithereens
and spew my tiny symphony
all up and down the city street
while tryna put my mind at ease
like finishing this melody
this feels like a necessity
so this could be the dearth of me
or maybe just a better me
so come in with the tympany’s
and take a shot of hennessy
i know i’m not there mentally
but you could be the remedy
so let me play my violin for you
(SONG BY ARL - worlds smallest violin)
YOU WERE 11? IM 12 NOW AND IF YOU SAW MY CHANNLE YOU FEEL SORRY!
