The one I want is the Honda. It has eveything I want, 4 cylinders and a 4 cylinder sound, a more upright postion and to me I just prefer Honda styling on the CBR models. I could care less about the extra weight. It's nominal. I like that red and blue Honda paint scheme on the CBR.

Great comparison in a class I love. A fairing for wind protection and looks but comfortable with useable power and affordable.
The GSX 8R has 15% more torque that the RS660 which is more useful for everyday riding than revy bhp. And the RS costs 27-32% more where I love, depending on the deals. That is the same as Street Triple R or RS, Z900SE or KTM890. Looks good and all those qualities, but not sure it is worth the money. I also found the standover a little high due to the wider front of the saddle and with short legs was left tip toed. Not what I like riding around an uneven hilly city.
The Daytona looks amazing and has enough power. Again the torque is down a on the GSX and the instrument screen/dash board looks terrible in my view. A Triumph blind spot. Same lame dash on the Tiger and Street triple R. The RS has a TFT but looney design with all numbers bar speed too small and the tach un-useable on the go. Someone talk to Triumph, please!

I’ll pass of Triumph products. They are known for having too many reliability issues. The features and looks are great-but the expense of the purchase plus breaking too often-the Japanese bikes are a better bet.

The best middle weight sportbike is still the ZX-6R now that the R6 is gone. Then followed by the updated CBR600RR that is now fitted with IMU. These 2 bikes have not received major updates for ages but they are still the best and most powerful middleweight, and also they are true sportsbike (aggressive riding position, high revving engines).

The RS660 is the leader in sheer performance and tech, although the Daytona 660 might be better for riders more geared towards commuting/city riding. Will be interesting to see how CFMotos new 675 triple will stack up against these. I think throwing the CFMoto 800 (KTM 790) twin into a sport chassis similar to the 450SS would be a killer option as well. Suzuki missed the mark on the GSX-8 with non adjustable suspension and almost 40lbs heavier than the R7.
