Sick car! Sick review! Of course that turbo is gonna lag if you go WOT @ 3000RPM lol. I've built a few srt4s and it takes awhile to learn to drive a setup like this correctly. You need to WOT shift @ ~6800rpm and there will be no lag between shifts, a 60 trim is pretty damn big turbo. The stock head is a real "bottle neck" on this car...A built head would give him 50+whp more on the same boost. Sick car tho!!!
Uh yea this clutch is pretty stiff pretty hard to get used to lol idk why people let this dude drive their car he clearly isn't very good at driving lol
waoh, thats my car. Haha. I'm the original owner. let me know if you need to know anything or need extra paint. that's a custom Catalina white (tesla paint). i miss it
I was thinking of getting a 2005 srt4 Im test driving it tomorrow. Can please let me knw what to look before buying? It has 160k miles on it Msd coil Solid motor mounts Greddy exhaust 5 zigen wheels Nitto front Tires New axles Greddy oil catch can Hks blow off valve Hids Halo headlights Led tail lights Stereo with aux Sub and amp These are the additions on the car. Please help me brother
i have a 2005. I have gotten so much thumbs up from random people on the road with this car, not one on my AMG Benz I had. Yet this car is so hated on. lol love it!!!
Wow first off thanks too RUclips for recommending your channel too me if it wasn't for RUclips I would have never found it. I'm most def going to subscribe. As far as that catless smell getting on your clothes it is so true! I remember the first time I went out with my girlfriend when I picked her up shes all " what cologne is that" I just laughed and told her it's E85 she didn't get but after I explained it to her she shared a chuckle with me. But she doesn't like riding in my car because "that smell" gets on her clothes. No better smell in the world in my opinion.
The 6 puck is pretty much an on/off switch, but once you get to driving it you find the sweet spot where you can ride it a little for a smoother take off. Perhaps he has air in the brake lines because my SRT4 doesn't give me issues. With a big turbo setup like that it's not meant for turns. The stock TD04 is better for boosting on turns, i.e autocross, although the boost is limited to 22psi. Since he has BC coilovers you can soften or harden the dampening for ride comfort. Just my 2 cents.
Love the review but man watching you drive that car aggravated me a bit. Lagging the turbo in 2nd then as soon as it hit boost you would short shift 3rd only to lag again. Next time after you review a car you should let the owner show its true potential. All in all keep up the good work!
Sorry Dwight, I do all my reviews in the same manner. I'm well aware that this kind of car needs to be brake boosted to really take advantage of the engine/turbo set up. I'm planning on doing more 'mexico' type racing next spring when it warms up a bit - and I'm sure the owner will be happy to run some cars on video ;)
Torque steer is something you get used too, but wheel hop on these cars are a pain. I have owned 3 of these cars, a black 05 I kept stock, a red 04 that had a built 2.6L stroker with a Precision 6766P on race fuel that pushed 768 on a conservative tune and ran 10.00s, both of which are now sold. My current car is another red 04 that I bought from my 4 years ago with 47k miles out of FL. I put a delta 42 turbo on it, tuned it for 350whp on 93 and called it quits. Stock suspension is a little more comfortable than coilovers, but cornering sucks, and if roads are rough expect to go through strut mounts regularly. When you push 400+whp out of these cars, the clutch is going to be stiff if its going to last, its part of it.
+That Neon Channel Torque steering is the influence of engine torque on the steering, especially in front-wheel drive vehicles with transversely mounted engines. For example, during heavy acceleration the steering may pull to one side, which may be disturbing to the driver. The effect is manifested either as a tugging sensation in the steering wheel, or a veering of the vehicle from the intended path. Torque steer is directly related to differences in the forces in the contact patches of the left and right drive wheels. The effect becomes more evident when high torques are applied to the drive wheels either because of a high overall reduction ratio between the engine and wheels,[1] high engine torque, or some combination of the two. Torque steering is distinct from steering kickback - what about axles again?
I can appreciate that your doing your car review thing on RUclips. however I owned a 2003 srt4 stage 2 with about everything you can do except the big turbo. couple things the gears on that 5 speed are not that tall 3rd does 90 5th will tap at 155-160 in my opinion perfect for the car. also I would have really liked to see the thing at WOT with it being rung out before shifting, with a big turbo your getting that lag because of the way it's being driven other then that maybe it's time for new brakes because mine stopped pretty good. awesome car tho
might sound like a dumb question but can anyone tell me where to find vacuum lines I just can't find any, or if u can send me a link that will be great thank u
After driving it a bit, I found out that it was more or less just a pedal feel issue. The brake pedal just had to be pressed down pretty far to get the good braking power, something I'm not used to.
Yeah, the brake kit on the SRT4 is nice. I think it was more an issue with the brake lines. Braking power was good, but you really needed to press down hard on them to get that. Most of the cars I have driven lately generally have good braking power early on in the pedal.
Pretty weak car for the mod list, 1035cc injectors and a 60 trim only making 420 to the wheel? Not sure how they managed that, probably shoulda went with a smaller triple ball bearing turbo, woulda made more power without the lag.
A piece of crap 4 cylinder DODGE junk that's very painful to drive, with a peaky and laggy engine why would someone spend money on one of those things?!
Finally a srt-4 review done by a RUclipsr. This car definitely was built for a straight line but seems like a excellent built example of an srt-4.
Kwezzy it's plenty capable turning as well. Multiple podium wins in road racing and rally.
Sigh.
This car is sick! I knew a guy that had one just like it in Columbia Missouri several years ago, white on black is the way to go on these IMO

Wow nice ... i have a csrt4 what turbo can i upgrade?
yo this review was so freakin entertaining to watch , so much fun i gotta get one of these...this guy having a blast seems pretty fast
Sounds monstrous niceee!!!!
Uh yea this clutch is pretty stiff pretty hard to get used to lol idk why people let this dude drive their car he clearly isn't very good at driving lol
want to cry about the clutch and gear box some more?? geeze!
Nah, I'd rather watch some awesome Aquarium Videos. Some sick fishie Fishies, can you help? ;)
my clutch is smooth so is the gear box so thats kinda wierd

Msd coil
Solid motor mounts
Greddy exhaust
5 zigen wheels
Nitto front Tires
New axles
Greddy oil catch can
Hks blow off valve
Hids
Halo headlights
Led tail lights
Stereo with aux
Sub and amp
These are the additions on the car.
Please help me brother
I’m actually buying a built one too, so I wouldn’t mind hearing as well, also that must be cool to see yours show up on RUclips 😂
i have a 2005. I have gotten so much thumbs up from random people on the road with this car, not one on my AMG Benz I had. Yet this car is so hated on. lol love it!!!
awesome vid

I like how he says I'm not in boost, yet you can hear the BOV..
the bov is under vacuum, and will release will part throttle, HKS SSQV are notorious for this
Honestly that looked fun and that's what I look for in a car
Another great review on a great car.
lmao who does a 3rd gear pull in 3k rpm when u have a big turbo 60 roll 3 rd gear brake boost no boost lag trust me i own a 680 whp srt4 before
Love it 😍 #SRT
Nice!

keola36 thanks for the reply, that in itself gets a like and subscribe! Again keep up the good work.
@@keola36 Yea and all your reviews are shit, in the same manner. Take some constructive criticism, asshole.
That boost gauge is actually stock. I own an SRT-4 ACR as well and it has the exact same boost gauge in the exact same place.
SD AM2 check out the owner, he's apart of a car crew in San Diego as well!!
what state is this recorded in? It's beautiful in the background
Did he have to roll the fenders to get that stance on 235/40/17s?

How was reliability
This sounds mean asf damn 😍😍
Nice
Simplicity!!
My buddy had a stage 3 he let me drive once, man those cars are hard to control with all that torque steer on takeoff
total turd
3Seven Stang Vids they have equal length axles
+That Neon Channel im aware of that i work for dodge lol

+FULLBUG 5150MOOK hope you're not talking about me, frankly i loved the car. I just happen to be more in tune with RWD

that shit is clean
Where do you find aftermarket parts for this
So how strong are the brakes again?
Does anybody know where a workshop is to install this????
Still a NEON! What was spent on that car is more than what the car cost new! You'll never get back what you spent on it!
Why does that brother you so much? I think by now everyone knows what it is and nobody really cares it’s a neon dude you sound insecure as hell
fun car to drive and makes power for mods
👍👍
Where in lee county are you in? Noticed the plate
Any mods on the transmission?
the butt crack in the seat lol.
review a turbo balt!!
The boost gauge is factory in that spot 🤦🏼♂️ and gee is the clutch stiff? 🤦🏼♂️
Somethings wrong with that guys gear box. Mine shifts like butter
Ha 420, nice number
3rd gear lag ......oooooooooohhhhh. lol
damn I miss my srt
Mike Savich miss mine too.... had an 04 w/GT3076R and built engine. Pushed 525whp/498tq on pump gas.
what offset are the wheels? i don't wanna go through the ordering and sending back nonsense because i didnt get the right offset to flush it. thanks
Chad R +35 or +38. I forget exactly
where can I find you?
might sound like a dumb question but can anyone tell me where to find vacuum lines I just can't find any, or if u can send me a link that will be great thank u
Its connected to the turbo
god damn... that turbo lag is insane.
You let go of the clutch to soon that's why it buckles
Boost gauge is from factory.
By chance do you remember the offset of those wheels? they look really nice
Izak Behunin +38
FOR SALE??
The reason why the drive train is so stiff is cause it's brand new. Does anyone not remember that those years of srt4 had failing transmissions?
I think the reason you were going out of boost between shifts is because you shifted too soon.
My fav part @6:54
Nice vid. What is the name of that Chuki instrumental thanks!
Sorry Smitty! I have no clue which track specifically. He has so many good ones though.
thats fine thanks a lot though keep up the good vids
Do you need pistons, cams and rods for 420whp?
no
Lol Erick Lambert old Nsrt4. haha.
I'm sure the car has (no lift shift)...keeps boost up so Turbo lag at full throttle is non existent!
grew up street racing in lee county in early 2000s.... dont really miss that place lol
Damn thatd be a nightmare to daily tbh
PilgrimTitan it's fine besides stop and go traffic. I drive it 50 miles a day
How do u like find these cars to review
Friends of friends, and I've had a few contact me through RUclips.
Should be a low 12s car.
famwagon
someones ass tryed to eat the seat
bog turbo, 3rd gear, at 3k rpm n u wanna boost.... well DUH.... 3700_4k
brakes need an upgrade i guess
After driving it a bit, I found out that it was more or less just a pedal feel issue. The brake pedal just had to be pressed down pretty far to get the good braking power, something I'm not used to.
This guy. It's lags because of the way your driving it.
There super load inside lol
is this the factory colour?
Florian Cz no its Catalina white off a tesla
Brandon Cox thx bro
#LagNation
Lol aww that neon is so cewt bahaha
Rims?????????!!!!!!!
Boost gauge is OEM
Appreciate that Ryan
keola36 not a problem. Also, I hat to say it. But, that SRT-4 needs work. The brakes should be rather crisp.
Yeah, the brake kit on the SRT4 is nice. I think it was more an issue with the brake lines. Braking power was good, but you really needed to press down hard on them to get that. Most of the cars I have driven lately generally have good braking power early on in the pedal.
Boost gauge is aftermarket stock oem gauge goes to 20pounds.
Is this a 2005
Elmer Garcia yup
"Here" is the word of the day in this video lol.....
Are they automatic or stick?
If ur toes didn't curl when he was waiting for that boost u have no fucking clue!
panthro001 hahaha yeah crazy
He's scared of the car for sure.
JACKSchannel1100 $cared ;)
Lol I made 389 whp on the stock turbo 424 tq
yeah, sure you did you lying piece of shit
car was full bolts on e85 BWS ported intake dsmlights tuned.
there is no way you made that on stock turbo
BWS is not a stock turbo
bws isn't stock turbo you moron.
Probably a new short shifter. They need to be broken in to be a little smoother
Maybe you just can't drive as good as you think you can
That’s not lag at 4000rpm. You just don’t know how to drive a turbo car brother.
Pretty weak car for the mod list, 1035cc injectors and a 60 trim only making 420 to the wheel?
Not sure how they managed that, probably shoulda went with a smaller triple ball bearing turbo, woulda made more power without the lag.
easy just add more boost. Just because it has 420 wheel doesn't mean that's all she's capable of.
running out of fuel. once I get injectors it'll be close to 500 easily
He probably didnt want to risk the motor since it is stock and those motors can only support 500hp on stock internals
block is built. Turbo and injectors are the only limiting factor.
Weird, I don't see why you would be running out of fuel with 1035cc injectors. I'm only running 750cc with return line and making 500whp
Sure is decent for straight line.
that exhaust doesn't sound good. stock sounds better.
Say the same thing over and over
Shitty magnaflows
Tooo much uhhh learn how to talk
You talk to much let the car do the talking
That car is ugly af
SloppyEngineer nah
A piece of crap 4 cylinder DODGE junk that's very painful to drive, with a peaky and laggy engine why would someone spend money on one of those things?!
Tracey Melbourn Why would someone spend money on anything? Because is THEIR money
Tracey Melbourn why would anyone spend money on a mustang
