I also carry a skate tool in my backpack, as well as sunscreen, bug spray, drink bottles (reusable aluminum bottles that I usually fill with Gatorade), and on longer endurance workouts, something to eat that won’t spoil easily. And I also wear a helmet and the other necessary pads, including hip pads that are basically padded shorts from a company named CrashPads. They set me back $85 USD, but they’ve kept me out of the hospital so far, so I will definitely say that they’re a worthwhile investment.
