Born 1941 just three miles from Windsor Castle, I’m proud to call myself a ‘Windsorian’....these shots bring goose pimples to my skin and proud tears to my eyes.....
Happy 73rd Wedding Anniversary to Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. May they share many more happy years to come.

Well handsome is as handsome does, the A330 will give a step change in capability and reliability, as much as I love the old VC-10. I'm ex Concorde Engineering at BA, I fondly remember the 2002 Jubilee flypast and many of my colleagues were ex VC-10.
The support contract for the A330's is for 27 years, when the VC-10 entered RAF service, about the same time I was born, I doubt many at time thought it would still be in operation for that long, much less over a decade into the 21st century.

Just to save you time today trailing through loads of rubbish, try the generals by appleflea - a stop motion music video set during a nuclear war starring loads of childhood toys, like action man/gi joe and barbie plus loads more - its awesome! Just thought i'd share the joy :D

I'm not one for patriotism but if there is one thing I love about my country that Brings a smile and the occasional tear to my eye, its our RAF Avro Lancaster bombers, Super Marine Spitfires and Hawker Hurricane Fighters. I did not watch the Queens jubilee celebration, but i have seen the amazing job our pilots have done to show just how great these aircraft still are, they are a piece of our great history and engineering craftsmanship to every British family in the United Kingdom.

This is probably the last major flypast that the VC-10 will appear in, until retirement.
Still, the A330 will be a sight to see.
Not sure but I think the Vulcan operates under restrictions that may have prevented it, or perhaps more likely, the old girl wasn't serviceable.

At the risk of being pedantic pascaly and it DOES need clarifying, the comment read "the c130s are actually C5s". The inference of that is that the poster is saying "they are not C-130s, they are C-5s". It would have been clearer if the comment had read "the C-130s are the C-130J C.5 version". Being pedantic, please also note the dashes and dots.
PlanesTV said "Puzzled by this comment". Exactly right.
PS They look more like C130J C.4s, not C.5s. Perhaps you would like to comment Pascaly!
