Self adhered or Peel and Stick material is not hard to install, but should be done correctly in order to make it last. The self adhered material will stick to just about anything, but bonding and staying for the life of the roof is a different story. Primer and knowing when to cold process are a very important part of the self adhered system.
This is a 4 part series with the first video being a summary of the entire flat roof and also the materials used. Some of the questions are answered in the summary that may not have been answered in the individual videos.

Im a South Florida Roofer and I grew up learning on a HOT CREW, we would mop 3ply glass, over a base then modified cap sheet or ballast. Though when I see how clean this can be and of course cooler temps id definitely have a torch for the edges and laps. Otherwise this is an EXTREMELY CLEAN JOB. 3 ofy guys. Working together could definitely get down in jam and do some clean work with this. God bless thank you for sharing
Have done many hot mop flats. This particular method where I strip in the drip over the cap sheet is what we used to do when we would mop. Don't care for torching at all. Seems hot mopping is only for large commercial specifications anymore. Self adhered has all but replaced mop and torch, although there are a few outfits that still torch. Thank you.
I noticed at 40 seconds you cut tge clip because you stepped on the cellophane and made it stick to the ply sheet lol. Happens to the best of us
Im curious if this cap sheet is MOP grade? Just my personal experience, anytime we had a lot of field flashings, 4 man mock crew with a kettle guy you could put on some quality work of course granulating the laps, precut your flashings, preset your rolls popping lines. Plan your job, do your prep work get busy.
No. All SA material. You still have to cold process granule to granule.
