Hull is a great place; people judge it way too quickly. Although I wouldn't say this is a must-visit place in the UK, it has such a rich culture and history that is often glossed over by the rest of the UK (and the world). Overtime, Hull has changed drastically but growing up in Hull and living there isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. There are numerous amounts of benefits to living in Hull such as extremely affordable housing, lovely museums & galleries, diverse culture and so much more. Hull also has The Deep - the world's only submarium. It's a small city but honestly worth visiting if you can rather than judging based on what the media says and things others have told you. I'm not saying it's the fanciest place ever but honestly visit it and then judge it. Have I lovely day

Not everyone has the ability to 'just manage their time better and do it all'. For me studying takes so much mental energy because of my anxiety and so does a lot of other stuff.

Unpopular opinion: I really don’t like Shane Dawson. He has a huge platform, and instead of using it for good he just spreads misinformation and makes ridiculous wide sweeping statements that young people take as fact. Is it necessarily his fault that young people take his word as gospel? No, but I’m sure he’s aware of it and does little to persuade them out of it, and to promote critical thinking. Series like his Jake Paul series and conspiracy theory videos are damaging to our youth who are lapping it all up.

Yeaaaaahhhh working more doesn’t really help with the test anxiety thing.... 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ I understand and agree with the fact that the more confident you’ll be the less stressed you’ll be as well, but the problem here is no matter how much you study for something , if you’re someone that gets anxious really easily, you won’t become more confident because it’s not rational. So you can’t rationalize your brain by knowing that you have done everything you could and know the subject, bc there will always be a part of your mind telling you all the « what if »’s possible, and sadly it’s most often the loudest and takes over whatever effort you put into the rest. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If your cookies are coming out like pancakes you either overcreamed the butter (beat it until it turned white, which can be useful in a different recipe) or you didn't incorporate the butter well (which you'll generally notice chunks of butter as you're scooping if that's the case, typically because you didn't cream the butter enough). You want to use room temperature butter and beat it in a mixer until it becomes similar in texture to yogurt. Something absolutely no one will ever tell you is that if you don't have a mixture, you can actually just melt your butter and really beat that sugar in manually, but this doesn't produce a pretty cookie.
My apologies if any of this has been said to you already. I'm a professional baker who is essentially self-taught, so I love to spread knowledge when I can.

Beans on toast. Fancy brunch but have nothing in? Beans on toast. Quick tea? Beans on toast. I could go on and on. 😂😂😂😂

You don't know what you're missing Evan. We were UK Capital of Culture 2017 not European. A title awarded by the Arts Council every four years.
Coventry take on the title in 2021.
While the infamous Ronnie Pickering road rage occurred in Hull, there's much more to the city than that. For example, we host a number of festivals in the city. There's the festival of the spoken word, Freedom fest ( tying into our links to William Wilberforce and the abolition slavery), a sea shanty festival and a biannual festival of new music.
Historically Hull King Charles I entry to the city which led to the outbreak of the Civil War. It's also where the ship Bethia was built. It went on to become known as The Bounty as in Mutiny On The Bounty.
Hull is also the birthplace of Dettol, the boiled sweet, the LCD, the Venn Diagram, Association Football (Ebenezer Cobb Morley being from Hull),, and the bone density scanner.
Hull has been used as a film location on a number of occasions ranging from "The Personal History of David Copperfeild" to " A Royal Night Out" to the TV series "Victoria".
Hull has several museums and art galleries and unusually these are free to enter. Despite being the one of the most bombed cities of World War II (95% of all homes affected) I it strikes a balance between retaining its history and being a modern cutting edge city. We are, for example, the only city where high speed broadband is delivered by fibre to the home not just to the nearest cabinet.

Interesting point on test anxiety. I suffer from very bad test anxiety to the point where I do not test with my class (this has been the case from kindergarten all the way up to now when I’m in my second year of college)
I would agree that being overly prepared for a test is a great way to reduce anxiety. This has worked for my Econ 115 class and I’m killing it in the class with a 103% BUT I’ve also found that not knowing a single thing and being prepared to fail also works. For example, spanish is very very challenging. The first test I studied really hard and had a massive panic attack because despite studying like crazy, I couldn’t remember a thing. When the second test came, I knew I was already too far behind so I didn’t study and just embraced my D+ (which was better then the F I got in the first test) I feel as if the worst place to be when you have test anxiety is unsure. When I feel like I know something but can’t say for sure I’m right, I feel my anxiety is the worst. Being in the middle is awful.

Evan Playing sport in the rain, that’s nothing! One of my scaring memory’s was having to do compulsory swimming. One cold Winter morning we got bussed down to the local municipal heated in door pool to find that it had ice on it, due to gas heating system breaking down. Yes, they broken the ICE ( NOT thin ) and made us get in for 1-2 minutes at a time ONLY. After all they didn’t want to kill us (yet) what’s the fun in that! Can anyone from Lordswood Boys Tech/Grammer Birmingham back me up on this?
P.S. Compulsory swimming was brought into all UK schools (at least the boys) after they discovered post WWII that most British soldier drowned when forced to swim. 30% of class mates ended up in the military! NSW in Oz
