I'm wondering if that was actually purposefully Fjord's real voice or when he decided on Fjord's real accent. I wouldn't put any of these options past Travis tbh haha
@@ross8093 pretty sure he's said on Talks that he originally wanted to do a western voice, but knew he wanted to have a "real" voice behind it. I know his "real" voice came out in his first dream from episode 5, so it's pretty likely that he'd had it planned from around that point anyway. the bit where he accidentally channeled Grog though, that was him. sitting at the table means it's really easy to slip back into character. there's actually an amusing video of Travis and Laura at a panel, talking about accidentally slipping into different voices in their day to day life
Travis accidentally doing the Grog voice, being told he’s very good at voices, and then replying in his “real” voice (aka Vandren’s) that he occasionally does mimicry is just... oh so poignant now.
Rewatching the highlights after finishing the campaign: Caleb commenting that Fjord has a knick for accents because of a meta slip by Travis is so funny to me after we discover Fjords real voice
When I saw ep1 a couple days ago, I was like why is he reposting? Lol. Completely fjordgot that Nico started doing this in later episodes. Just used to it by now that its seems the videos been there since day one.
In reality fjord is secretly grog in disguise after he got his tutoring at the end of campaign one and decided to travel the world again. His body atrophied because of how long it took him to get smart, and then he just painted himself green so nobody would recognize him
