There has to be something between ‘Rookie’ and ‘Veteran’ tho, right?!
Because a Rookie prepares for the future, and a Veteran builds on his past (and an O.G. passes it on, hehe), but we kinda skipped over the, dunno, I guess ‘mature’ fase.
That’s where you learned your basics, strengths and weaknesses, and start building your own style, choosing your direction and practicing it.
Then, once you earned your stripes you can coach and lead others.
And after all that, when you ‘been there, done that’ you can teach about it :)
My paraphrasing of what’s being said… you don’t become an OG by just being a VET or just having EXPERIENCE…. You get your OG status by continuing to grow even after you’ve reached what’s colloquial considered as an OG… in my genre I became a student, then a master, then a teacher who’s students could never out compete or teach the master…. It’s simple if you don’t think about it too much lol

This is weird. You're using basketball references that aren't equivalent. O.G. is not synonymous with G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan was a GOAT and an O.G. and there are players in the game that were around to support him, but they're never called rookies if they've been around that long
