Super7's products give me the vibes of something that'd be sold around $25, but they're approaching $100, shallow sculpts, shiny chincy plastic and ugly joints are not a good look at that price point.
I still think the Neca, for as old a figure as it is, is still my favorite burning Godzilla figure for using translucent orange plastic as the figures entire base. Same with SHMA. Had Super7 done that with the neck, chest, waist, and thighs then this could have topped it as a definitive burning Godzilla.
Got this tonight and love the orange/skin tone bleed through. Gives a great roiling heat effect. This is my first S7 Godzilla, and I’m quite impressed.
I can't believe that when these were first announced...I immediately jumped the gun praising how great these were going to be, especially in comparison to S.H Monster Arts. These are far worse lol $40 figure at the max!
I'm getting super7 more for the villains. Got the dark horse and heat ray exclusives and that's about all I need Godzilla wise. Now just want the other Kaiju
This guy is definitely an upgrade compared to 89 Godzilla. The burning paint is tolerable but not fantastic, it needs a little more yellow to make it pop out more. Now the paint on the leg really itches a nerve in me when I look at it. I like my figure to look as close to the original design but that paint on the leg is way more off to the side, where did they go wrong there?. The other thing that is disappointing at least to my copy is that the neck joint is STUCK. I used a blow drier and dipping the neck in hot water to see if I could loosen the joint but it doesn't want to budge. This figure really disappointed me compared to mechagodzilla because that figure kicks ass. Overall this was a slight improvement but still not worth coughing up 85 bucks. I still have hope and I'm looking forward for Destroyah to come out soon, hope Super7 doesn't screw that one up.
Great review. Good broad overview of the positives and negatives of the figure. I really loved those translucent dorsal plates. Wish the painted burning effects were all translucent plastic but what can you do? Maybe in a future version. I have to admit that I'm really enjoying these Ultimates Godzilla figures. They're big, solid, heavy figures with, to my eye, great sculpts. I can't understand the heated backlash the first wave seemed to get. I love how these guys look on my shelves. For my money these guys are bigger, cheaper and less 'fiddly' in hand than the S.H. Monsterarts versions. I got in with the start of that line years ago but ended up selling them because they were essentially just poseable models to my mind. You can change their poses but they were so finnicky and unstable that they were awful for 'in hand feel' imo. Just not my thing. Ended up selling the bunch.
This is something that should be priced at $30 not $87, also is it so difficult to make a hinged jaw because it’s gonna be so annoying to have to switch the heads just to get a closed mouth
Great indepth review. Can you tell me are the smoke pieces the trans white all the way through or just on the surface? Curious if some rubbing on exterior would make it clearer in parts
The burning parts look completely different, also it lacks the gloss coating from the promotioal image their use, glad I canceled it, I think i would have been dissapoted.
I feel super7’s figures of the retro style is far better than these larger articulate figures. Overall I am not a fan and glad I’m not spending my money on these guys
I don’t believe any figure that retails for around $80 should have any cost saving measures
@umjammerlammy9993
100% agree
Just wait until you hear about S.H Monster arts

The shiny plastic and minimal sculp makes it look like the cheap KOTM figures from jax pacific...
It’s an extremely odd choice. I’m not sure why they chose to go nostalgic by making toys actually seem outdated
Right now I would prefer Super7’s Burning Godzilla’s price rather than SHMA Burning Godzilla’s price being 100-500
When I opened the figure, the smoke effects made me think bubble bath Godzilla. 💨
It Was True That They Where Only 2 Heisei Godzillas Like BioGoji & DesuGoji

The figure would really be the best if the articulation was better. I miss NECA so much tho
Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃🎃
I genuinly like how this fella looks. I'm looking forward to getting wave 2 in hand, especially once Wave 3 gets here.

People seem to really not like it, but I think it looks great
Nice!

I am glad I passed on the super7 ultimates thus far. My only preorder is for the 1200 degrees…I hope it’s worth it
sooo.. is it worth it
Yo Steve u ever gonna make a collection vid? Gotta see whatcha got.

Super7 had a chance to get a market after hiya yet they ruined it self
Nice toy
Dark Horse Godzilla is so good that these newer figures just make me sad more than amused now
It's nearly untouchable tbh.
@@StevensToyReviewsThe only thing that could would be Bagorah honestly, maybe next SDCC?

These should be 50 dollars. Not worth the 87 dollars. Just go with hiya
Hiya doesn’t have burning Godzilla.
We can say that this is the BEST burning G (1995) from 2023? 👀
Great review ! Can you make a video on the shf tobey maguire spiderman ?
Great indepth review. Can you tell me are the smoke pieces the trans white all the way through or just on the surface? Curious if some rubbing on exterior would make it clearer in parts
we do got destroyah coming and i think i will replace my playmates destroyah with the super 7 one
I think the white parts are dry ice
So where is the fire and buildings packs?
Yo esperaba que esta figura tuviera articulación en la boca
It's White Sea Foam "Wink" "Wink"
Hey steven, where did ya get the Evangelion stand?
Super 7 -1.0?
The burning parts look completely different, also it lacks the gloss coating from the promotioal image their use, glad I canceled it, I think i would have been dissapoted.
I will get this soon since everything is sold out lol
Well, why won't they try to make the jaw articulated is beyond me
Repaint after repaint
What do you do when the right lower hand doesn’t move bro
Use hair dryer, it’s what I did
I feel super7’s figures of the retro style is far better than these larger articulate figures. Overall I am not a fan and glad I’m not spending my money on these guys
I'll stick with my Playmates, and Bandai.
Hi Steven May I have your copy of SHMA Godzilla Earth pretty please haha 👉👈
Do you honestly think my man is going to give you a figure worth 300 bucks to you for FREE?
@@dennisjaime1801 nope
@@dennisjaime1801think he’ll give me a 299 dollar figure then lol
Just another mediocre figure from super7.
