NEW CHANGE: I talk about a tip towards the end of the video about changing quantities in order to ship to less locations. Amazon no longer allows this. Don't do it.
Thank u for telling me this. This is my first time seeing this video so I'm glad I saw this. U have gave me the motivation to do this. I'm 16 years old and my plan to to start young! Thank you sir
I think from all the guys on RUclips doing videos on this, you are the most honest in giving all information we need without hiding anything. Thanks a lot :)
Thanks Bekrar! I try really hard to do that!
Thanks Adam! I am getting 1st set of 2 arbitrage products loaded into My seller central. Printing my labels. have the 1 box. Darn! I need to get packing tape!! Dope!
Hey Adam great content I've seen this video months ago but like a great book you get new information every time you read it, in this case watch. Question, have you experienced when you print your FNSKU labels they are not aligned either the top or the bottom missing crusial data ? It's very frustrating to say the least. If you have a solution for it. Thanks in advance. Daniel
It happened the first time I used my printer, had to Google it and fix it. Don't remember the solution though, been more than a year.
What if I buy my supplies from Alibaba and send it straight to Amazon? How would I make UPC for that? Is there a video for that?
Hey, I am going for retire from my amazon e-business. And I want to help my VA/account manager to get new boss/work. She is true Gem in this type of a business branch. She lives in London and she’s native English speaker. If you are interested let me know.
I really liked this video BUT, you go kind of fast, clicking on this or that and explaining as you go. In your course, are things explained a little better, you know like, go to this box.....pause...…….and click. I'm old and farther south than you so you know we're a little slower down here. I'm really wanting to do this but I don't want to get discouraged because I don't comprehend some things. I do have $500.00 I'm willing to invest and I'm not trying to make a killing, just a profit. If I can make enough profit I will get the PL course as well. Thanks for what you do, I could never figure this stuff out myself.
Bob
The nice think about the course is you can adjust the speed. Maybe 75% speed would be really helpful! You can actually do the same thing here on RUclips right next to where you change the playback quality!
Hi Adam, This has been one of the best and most informative videos I have watched over the last two weeks. I still have a question about the UPC number. the product I want to sell is listed on Amazon, it has a SKU, and an ASIN, I plugged them in to my inventory list and I was given a FNSKU, but at what point do I need to purchase my own UPC?
You've got to clarify. Are you selling someone elses product, or your own. Are you buying it from China or the US?
I'm a close neighbor of yours that lives in Horn Lake. Just found your channel due to considering doing sales on Amazon. I already sell on Ebay.
People are getting rich on Amazon, but I don't know anyone that's rich selling on Ebay. Maybe I just don't know the right people, or maybe FBA is just where the big money is. That's why I'm working on this business.
Where do you get your upc code? because when I ordered my product from aliexpress, I did not see a upc code
Gotta get them from another website. I use UPC bay.
Great video for clarifying the confusion many beginners starting Amazon have! If we chose the option for Amazon to label our products, however, do we need to worry about covering any barcodes besides the UPC or can we just put the items in our shipment plan and have Amazon cover any barcodes that need to be covered? Thanks for the tutorial (:
If Amazon is putting on the barcodes I won't worry about covering all the barcodes.
Hey Amazing!! very informative , just started selling on amazon and recently send my two first product no very much investment but hoping this is the beginning of my new business. I have searched many videos explaning shipment to amazon and yours is very helpful and clear, WELL DONE!
could you make a video explaing parent asin against child asin please , very confused rifht now!
thanks
So impressed with your videos. Have watched a few and I love how straight to the point all the info is. Watched so many videos of other people and instead of focussing on real info I find myself trying to figure the RUclipsrs motives first, are they trying to sell me something. I have to block all the crap/propaganda talk to try and find real content. Watching this video I was in complete relax mode and just taking in all information. I really appreciate that and I appreciate how detailed, structured, organized and down to earth you portray yourself. Thank you.
I wish you well with all your business ventures.
Wow thank you G B. Glad my info has helped!
So informative, comprehensible & well presented. I appreciate the information & advice you share. I never feel like I´ve had my time wasted when I watch your videos!! Thanks Adam for another very useful video.
Glad to hear that!
i like how you did that telling us about the thing you go and give us link so you can get a little bit i like that
I am still so confused on how this works or how to start it. I only want to work from my place. Do I have to order the items PHYSICALLY to my place and then take it to an amazon warehouse? Or is absolutely everything done online? I like the video so far because you actually explain the process unlike other videos, but I am still very confused on the shipping and who does what. I don't want to carry items around and bring them here. I graduated with my bachelor's in December 2018 and I have accomplished nothing in this life. Now the apocalypse comes along. I spent the past few months researching FBA, but I still don't comprehend any of this. I have learned nothing in this life, so what is the point?
It's gonna depend a bit on which Amazon strategy you're using. If you're buying products from China you'll send them straight to an Amazon warehouse. If you're flipping products online that are othe people's brands, then you do have to ship it to your house, then send it into Amazon.
If you are purchasing from a Chinese manufacturer with a private label product, do you need to send the labels to the manufacturer for them to stick on the products? and also, are these the only things that you have to put on the products in terms of labelling etc etc
cheers :)
Hi Adam, just shipped my first FBA this video helped me a lot,, thanks!!! I was watching and doing it, also do u have a video for creating a brand new listing on amazon 2018, video and tips, that would be cool also,, thank you!! for good on point videos
I don't have one on RUclips right now 🙁 If you're in the private label course we go very in-depth on it there.
One of the best videos I have found so far, thanks man
Adam, I have a question, what If I'm selling a product that also includes a free gift, but the product and the gift are from different suppliers, how do you combine them together and sell them on Amazon? For example, a coffee mug and free napkins. Your assistance is highly appreciated.
They need to be packaged together before they arrive at Amazon. Often a supplier will be will to do it for a little bit of money. If not, GOOGLE FBA prep centers in China.
@@adamrfisher6297 So one supplier can send everything to the other supplier and then ship everything together?
@@themystery4977 Most of the time they will be willing to do that
@@adamrfisher6297 thank you brother
Thanks for the video! Only thing i was a bit confused on was the barcode part. So i order blank address 30 up labels, but then what do i print on it? Is there a button on there somewhere that gives me a barcode file?
In the inventory screen, click the edit drop down on your product, then click print item labels
Adam R Fisher i figured it out shortly after, thanks for the quick reply though!
Adam, great video. Thank you! Quick question, what happens to the second shipment that you did not work on. Do you have to delete it?
The second shipment will just sit there forever. You can delete it or just leave it there, doesn't matter either way.
Thank you for your video! Do you have to include a package contents list with the box you are sending? So if I created a shipment of 20different items, would I need a contents list or place in box and seal and label and ship?
No need for a packing list at all!
Amazon offers a service called inventory placement where for a small fee per item, you can send everything to the same place.
Inventory placement settings
To change your inventory placement settings:
Under Settings, click Fulfillment by Amazon.Under Inbound Settings, click Edit.Under Inventory Placement Option, click Inventory Placement Service.Click Update.
They do I just don't like paying for the service. Do you use it routinely?
Adam R Fisher it saves me a ton of time so it is worth it for me. Split shipments are a pain.
Thank you bro,it is very clear and make it easy for all, but, can you explain more about buying code and list it,and how can I get the code for Amazon after that??
This is the only one part I'm still confusing!
1. Buy UPC
2. When you create a listing on Amazon, they ask for a product identifier. Put in the UPC code.
3. Look up a video on how to get the Amazon FNSKU barcode. It's very easy, only take like 3 clicks. Download the PDF and send it to your supplier.
Hi
I'm stuck one part on fba shippment
You also don't show that
One sku in the box.
More than one
Or just one
Second what you use
Webform?
Its not allowing me
Can you help please
Idk how many different skus are you sending to Amazon in each box? If you're only shipping in 1 product it's 1. Use web form.
Hey, what if once all your inventory is in, you want to bundle your items? like say in your case you wanted to send a charger with tour CD player? would the charger need its own UPC ? Can tou manage whats being sold with what on Amazon yourself online whats your inventory is in? thanks!
You need to send in the CD player and charger in ONE package. The need to be packaged together. The entire set needs one UPC.
There is punk rock CD comeback.
Thanks Adam for the video. What if my supplier is in USA itself and ready to ship it to FBA centre for free? Do I still need to pay for shipping? Please help me here!
Nope you won't need to then
hi im listing multiple of the same item and i was wondering if i have to do one listing for all the items or do i have to do individual listings? also i have no idea how to do one listing with multiple items. help! please!
If it is multiple of the same item, you just change the quantity you have available. The only difference is when you go to create the shipment plan, you say you have 5 units instead of 1.
GUYS who wants to start in amazon. I have that 500 unit in amazon for 4 months now. not even single unit sold
Wow that's sad to hear. Did you innovate your product?
Can books be sent mixed within a box with non-book merchandise? Thanks in advance for a response!
Yes they can
I have a question can your supplier be the ones to put the barcodes and send it directly to Amazon?
If you're talking about a Chinese supplier, yes
Great video Adam. I have sent in my 3rd package and it's been a month with only 2 packages of inventory of about 10-15 items. I have only sold 5 items so far :( Tried tactical arbitrage and many of those items are either saturated with other sellers already or something else is driving prices to rock bottom on Amazon. My next shipment will be RA at thrift stores. Really time to put in some serious work.
Online arbitrage has really been my favorite. Keep it up man and hit me up with any questions.
Adam R Fisher I'm trying to ship 6 different items & it wants it shipped in 3 different boxes. Is there a way to combine different items or only identical?
Adam R Fisher please respond
@@stephenlandrum he explains how to put everything in 1 shipment at 15:00.
What if another identical product is already listed on Amazon with the same UPC but you are offering the product as a two pack instead of a single item. Will I have to purchase my own unique UPC instead of being able to use the manufactures? Because every-time I try to create the listing it always links my product to their listing... If anyone has an answer I would greatly appreciate it.
Yes you need your own UPC you have a different product
Adam R Fisher . Okay cool, thanks Adam for the fast response! Love your content.
im a beginner and just enrolled in your online learning course. Im only doing online arbritrage. I need help, trying to get a product from BestBuy online to Amazon FBA. How does it all ship there? When i buy from BestBuy what do i put on shipping?
your example is of retail arbitrage. can you show a tutorial for the online arbitrage, the full step by step from purchasing from other online stores to adding the product on amazon etc
Ship it to your house, rebox it, put new labels on it, and you're all good. DM me if you have more questions. All an incredible video in the course on that, you probably just haven't got there yet.
Why would you void the shipping charges?
Because I'm not actually shipping this product, I'm just making a video.
Mind bottling how OUT of date electronics is selling4Never known til now
Adam, Just starting, this video is a huge help. However a couple of questions. I am intending to engage a Prep center after Tactical Arbitrage recommended purchases. So as I understand, is process below correct?
1. Buy the Product - ship to PREP
Center
2. List the Product on Amazon
3. Print Product Labels - Email the PDF to PREP Center
4. Does the Prep Center require ( Shipping Labels as well)
?
Does this make sense?
You've got the process down very well. Each prep center will have a little different procedures with labels, but they will give you a PDF during on boarding to explain the process to you.
If I were to ship 4 different colour phone cases, shouldn't I put all the same colour same into one box? But you mentioned amazon will ship the products into different warehouses. Does that mean certain colour might not be available at certain warehouse?
I would put each color in it's own carton. Amazon will tell you where to ship your units to. Doesn't matter which warehouse Amazon sends them into, they'll move them between warehouses as they please.
Adam R Fisher thank you! I've been watching a lot of your videos. It's been really helpful to me. I found my product already. Now I just need to figure out how to ship it from my supplier. Do I also need to purchase barcodes for my products ?
@@QuanWei_ you need 1 upc per color
My freight forwarder picked up my goods today. Can I now go in my seller central account and mark them as shipped if I don't have tracking numbers?
Yes
@@adamrfisher6297 Do I have to add tracking numbers? I ask that because the freight forwarding company I use does not have tracking numbers. They get the goods to their LA warehouse and then they give the date that it will reach Amazon (2-3 days after it gets to their warehouse).
So does Amazon require me to enter tracking numbers? Also if I do have to enter tracking numbers, I wouldnt get them until the goods get to the United States as they would then use a carrier to ship the goods from their warehouse to the Amazon warehouse. Is this correct?
Amazon does not require tracking numbers.
This is common practice, so if your freight forwarder does it, you can enter those tracking numbers later:
"Also if I do have to enter tracking numbers, I wouldnt get them until the goods get to the United States as they would then use a carrier to ship the goods from their warehouse to the Amazon warehouse."
Great knowledge! Really quick question, are you sending the box and labels to amazon and they are putting the labels on or are you getting the products sent to you and you are putting the labels on yourself?
My suppliers in China are doing it. If you're doing arbitrage, you need to do it at your house
Adam R Fisher Thanks , still learning . I really don’t no what arbitrage is . Watching thousands of videos but I feel like you are more authentic than a lot of the other guys. Really thinking about taking her course.
@@Godddson reach out to me on FB or insta links are at the bottom of the video description :)
Adam R Fisher 👍 I just wrote you
Do you have to print a new label for the box or can you use the same label that you use for each individual product for the box????? Im confused?
There are two labels. 1 goes on each product. The other goes on box. There can be multiple different units in a box, so if you put the same label on the outside of the box it wouldn't be accurate.
So what happens to the other shipment where you were supposed to send 2 units to California? Do you simply have to delete that shipment? Shipments can be so damned confusing.
I just don't send it. I don't even delete it. There's a rule not that you're suppose to send in all the shipments though.
do you go more in depth on this in your course?
Yes I definitely do. Shipping and seller central are not easy to understand I was so confused about them starting out. I also go really indepth on how to pick that first product. That's going to be 60% of your success.
HELLO
I MADE A MISTAKE IN SHIPMENT PROCEDURE. I WRONGLY ADD THE DIMENSION OF EACH ITEM AND BECAUSE OF THAT AMAZON FEE IS WAY TOO MUCH . HOW DO I CORRECT THAT? CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE?
Go back and edit your listings and change the size.
How world you suggest someone send multiple sku’s of the same items that aren’t bundled together into amazon?
How do you have multiple skus if they are the same item?
@@adamrfisher6297 idk I’m asking. Say for instance you have 6 quantity count
@@ArtisticallyAspiring send them all in in one box
which printer do you recommend?
You can really use any printer, but the DYMO 450 will be a great investment if you really scale an arbitrage business.
Thanks you adam
Glad I could help Mouad!
Adam, I noticed you didn't enter a SKU in this video, is there a reason why? I thought it was required. Thanks :-)
I believe I know that part of the video you're talking about and Amazon will autofill something for you.
I have already sent 200 pcs products to Amazon FBA. My available listing is zero. How do I update?
Have they gotten to Amazon? If so they might still be unavailable because Amazon might be moving them to another warehouse. There is nothing to can do to make them available faster.
Love the content! I watched a video about inventory lab earlier today. Have you tried inventory lab yet? I'm going to be starting my FBA business next month after my vacation and think I'm going to use inventory lab to keep track of everything (P&L sheet) and set up shipments
I've tried Inventory Lab for the free trial, but I really need to get back to it. It is awesome software.
Thanks for the video, I have a question if you don’t mind. If I am shipping from China to amazon fulfillment center do I need a customs broker?
Life with Savannah! Either you supplier needs to arrange shipping, or you need to get a freight forwarder that handles all that.
Great work man!! Useful video! But have 2 questions if u could answer. 1) how I find the Barcode and to put them on the product I send them to China so they stick them to my products? 2) we have to put Let's say products one by one or we put the first and then we write Fe 1000 pieces? Thanks!
1) Inventory screen, click edit next to your product, and click "print item labels"
2) You put in all the products you're shipping, then you put in how many units you're sending of each.
Thank u for answering! Who sticks the Barcode? The supplier? I send him via email the Barcodes?? Greeting from Greece!!!
Dude, this helped a bunch! Especially the part about co-mingling.
Glad it did Kiley!
Thanks. Amazon will give me the FNSKU when I add my product?
They sure will :)
Adam, Great tip about changing quantities to reduce shipping cartons. What happened to the order of 2 units Amazon wanted to go to CA? Was it cancelled? Did Amazon ship them to CA for you since you shipped additional quantities to NC? Do you get dinged for not shipping to all the warehouses in ratings or dollars for them to move your product? Thanks
I just didn't ship it and help on to them till the next shipment. The tip about changing quantities is actually no allowed as of a month or two ago. I need to make that clear. Gonna add a pinned comment.
@@adamrfisher6297 Thanks for the quick response.
So is the shipment gonna cost you $5 or $20 ? And do these shipping companies offer discounts when shipping to Amazon?

Ella Green You're once again welcome Ella!
i just made a listing and nothing showed up, do you have to wait for amazon to approve it and how long does it take?
It isn't showing up in seller central or when you search Amazon.com? It could take 15 minutes to show up in seller central, and won't show up on Amazon.com until you have inventory available.
@@adamrfisher6297 sorry, on seller central and its been over 12 hours and still nothing on inventory
So ain’t we supposed to send the labels to our manufacture if we print them out how they going to be on the product that’s coming from China I asked is because the products are going straight to amazon I’m confuse there
QMERT That's the right way to do it for private label, but for arbitrage you'll be doing that all yourself.
@@adamrfisher6297 thank you Adam, great video as usual! I have a little question here, for arbitrage, is it a must to have the products shipped to me and I'll get them labeled and then send to the fulfillment Centre? Every prep center will provide you a PDF on how you need to set everything up to work with them. You will often have to set the stuff up yourself.

hey ... great videos thank you!! i have one question, if i live outside the us and i want to buy lets say from walmart, can i send it directly to amazon? if so, how?

How do I get that barcode? I have listed my product, PL. got an ASIN but no FNSKU. I don’t have “print labels” option.
Adam R Fisher yes i did. I got my UPC from nationwidebarcode. And didn’t find any products with that upc. Also, my “manage inventory” has way less columns compared to yours.
Adam R Fisher ok. I’ll try that. I made a listing, although I don’t have my product yet.
But the labels for the shipping, are those also sent to the supplier?

Ok. Still gotta wait for that. Because I’m getting my sample in 5-7 days and be able to finalize and confirm that is what I want

Plus the fact I gotta take pictures of my product
If you do PL, you'll have to buy your own barcode. If you do arbitrage it's right on the product.
Good stuff thanks Adam.
Thanks you Juan :)
Awesome content man!
Thanks Nick! Let me know what you want to see next!
Hey Adam, great video. I am outside of the US. And would like to enroll in your class, but of course if there is a reliable prep company. Any news on that?
shlee I put together a whole spreadsheet of prep companies that's now in the course. It's got about 20 of them, all their prices, contact info, location, about 10 diffterent factors, so you can reach out to multiple then choose the one you like most.
Alright! So it is a viable option to use prep companies and still make a good profit? Well I guess that depends on what kind of products/margin you find, right? : )
shlee Yes it is. You can actually make more money because you can get one in a state without sales tax, which often costs other sellers 7-10% of the purchase price. I do recommend having more money to start if you're not in the US. $400-$500.
you mean find a prep company in a state without sales tax? and as a foreigner, will i not have any problems setting up LLC in the US etc.? Do you have any non US student doing RA? Thanks a bunch!
shlee The spreadsheet will tell you if they're in a sales tax free state. I have a couple people doing it. You won't have a problem creating an LLC. You shouldn't need one though.
can’t the supplier ship direct to amazon ?
What do you mean by flipping products like just buying off suppliers without private label? and do you need forums for a private label or can you just put a name on it n just ship it to amazon
oh okay so things with a label already you cant 'flip them'
Oh okay thank you can we talk on snapchat ? I want to get into this thing quick but it would be a great help if i could talk to someone who has already done it. Thank you for responding too your content it great keep it up!
Private label suppliers can ship straight to Amazon! If you flip products (arbitrage), you cannot.
Do you make the listing of the item before it gets to Amazon , also do you give your supplier the address of amazon
Bill Phillipe You have to make the listing way before, because you'll need it to get the barcode to put on the packaging. You'll give the warehouse address to your supplier.
Adam R Fisher how much would it cost to get the supplier to get your product to the warehouse without you doing anything
Bill Phillipe Well youve got to ask them how much DDP shipping is
Adam R Fisher do I give my supplier the upc barcode or only my sku
Bill Phillipe Amazon has their own FNSKU barcode you'll give them
Can you avoid all this by hiring a freight forwarder? Especially if you’re shipping from China?
Not not really you still need to fill out this information out so you have the correct labels to put on the boxes so when they get to Amazon's warehouses they know what's in them.
Hi adam I had prepared products and sending to warehouse in us all done including weighing dimensions paid carrier put labels now the question is my listing are not showing on Amazon with the Asin Amazon provided so my boxes can't cross customs as have to match listing price from asin any help ? What could it be ?
I've never heard of a box not being able to cross customs for that reason. Customs should not be worried about your end use for the products your importing. Your product will not show as live, because there is no product you can sell yet.
